"Is the weather nice today?"

That day, the maid was just about to feed Zii when she suddenly heard her say this, and was so startled that she widened her eyes.

The maid was pleasantly surprised and quickly nodded, "The weather is great. Do you need to go out for a walk?"

Zii faced toward the window, paused for a mont, and nodded slowly.

After the al, the maid helped her to the garden.

This was an annex purchased by Lu Shanhu, very secluded, with a peaceful environnt, surrounded by lush forests, perfect for recuperation.

Zii sat on the garden bench, feeling the warm winter afternoon sun on her body.

The maid described the scenery in the garden to her, while she imagined the pictures in her mind. The wind brought an unfamiliar floral scent, and there were birds chirping joyfully by her ears.

Zii sat there, her mood gradually becoming calm.

Blindness was a severe blow to Zii, but she was never one to bow to fate. There are millions of blind people in the world who have learned to live in darkness, so why couldn’t she?

Zii stayed in the garden for a long ti until the sun dipped westward before the maid helped her back to her room.

After that day, Zii no longer stayed passively inside the room. She often went out for walks. She couldn’t see anything, but she could hear birds singing, sll the scent of the soil, and feel the warmth of the sunshine.

A few days later, Lu Shanhu found a guide dog for her nad Cindy.

Cindy had brown fur, was tall and majestic, yet surprisingly gentle.

The guide dog got along with Zii right away, obediently following her words, becoming her most trusted companion.

After two months with Cindy, Zii could walk around the villa on her own, holding the dog.

Although Lu Shanhu still worried and instructed the servants to follow secretly, Zii never tripped or hurt herself, finally offering him so relief.

During this ti, Lu Shanhu wasn’t idle. He used his connections to search for ophthalmologists around the world, and finally in Country M heard of a professor nad Berlant who had cured several cases of blindness.

Lu Shanhu decided to take Zii to Country M next week to see that professor.

When he told Zii about his decision, she appeared very calm and didn’t say much.

Because she held no hope.

That day, the dog suddenly seed to sniff sothing fun and began pulling the leash forward, Zii had to follow.

"Cindy, slow down!"

Just as Zii spoke, Cindy suddenly stopped, and began barking.

"Did you find a mouse, Cindy?" Zii felt puzzled. Everyone in the villa was known to Cindy, it was unlikely for her to bark suddenly.

But Cindy only barked a few tis before suddenly quieting down, making pleasant sounds as she was being petted.

Zii felt deeply confused, not knowing what was going on with the dog today.

A clean, slender hand moved away from Cindy’s furry head and made a silent gesture by thin lips.

Cindy was a dog that judged by appearance.

The man in front was excessively handso. He wore a brown long coat, a warm scarf of the sa color around his neck, and straight black trousers on his legs.

That face was outlined with light in the winter sun, as if radiating light, with fair skin and features like a painting.

And the man’s deep dark eyes were looking at the woman holding the dog in front of him. The woman was still stunningly beautiful as ever, but her eyes lacked any spark, no matter how warm and bright the sunshine was, it couldn’t penetrate those dull eyes.
