After settling Zii, the butler and the servants tidied up the wine bottles and broken glass on the floor, then withdrew.
As evening approached, the sky gradually beca overcast and seed like it would rain. The butler was instructing the servants to move his beloved potted plants under the eaves when a familiar, deep voice sounded from behind.
"Uncle Chen."
The butler was taken aback and turned around, hardly believing his eyes when he saw the man standing before him.
"Mr. Ye, why are you here?" the butler asked in astonishnt.
Ye Cheng had t with Mo Qian and learned from him about the thrilling incident on the cruise last night.
Mo Qian said that without Zii’s help, they might not have been able to escape from those Japanese. And the reason Zii was willing to help without holding a grudge was undoubtedly because of him.
Zii saved his good friend, yet didn’t ntion a word to him.
She didn’t use the situation to claim credit or ask him for anything in return, which made Ye Cheng feel very uncomfortable.
Especially considering the text ssage she had sent to draw a clear boundary, he couldn’t sit still any longer. So, three years later, he stepped in here for the first ti.
"I’ve co to see her." Ye Cheng concealed all emotions in his phoenix eyes and said calmly.
The butler was about to respond when suddenly a servant rushed in, panting heavily, "Butler, it’s... it’s not good! Miss, she’s climbed onto the balcony and refuses to co down!"
Ye Cheng dashed into the bedroom and imdiately saw Zii in a snow-white nightgown, sitting by the balcony, swinging her legs.
She still held a bottle of red wine in her hand, lazily drinking.
The sky darkened as rain was imminent, and the wind blew her long hair and dress, making them billow.
The butler followed Ye Cheng into the room and, upon seeing this scene, felt incredibly anxious, "Miss got drunk after returning ho, barely managed to sleep for the afternoon, and now this... sigh!"
Ye Cheng felt a pang in his heart hearing this.
Without further hesitation, he quickly walked over and stood behind Zii.
"Zii, co down."
Upon hearing the deep voice of the man, Zii slowly turned her head. Upon seeing that incomparably handso face, she paused, her bright eyes filled with bewildernt.
"Who are you?" Her head was dizzy, like a mush.
"Co down first, and we’ll talk." Ye Cheng, unusually patient, reached out intending to pull her down.
Seeing the man’s long, fair hand reaching towards her, Zii warily shrank back: "Don’t touch !"
She forgot that she was sitting on the balcony, her movent was quite large, Ye Cheng’s face turned tense as he watched, his heart pounding.
This was the third floor; if she fell, she could very likely break her legs and arms.
"Miss, please co down quickly, it’s dangerous up there!" The butler watched in fear and promptly rushed over to persuade her.
"Uncle Chen, why do you always fuss over ?" Zii grumbled discontentedly, "I’m just sitting here to get so air, why are you all so nervous?"
Drinking wine and getting so air on the balcony, how pleasant.
She didn’t want to co down.
"My dear madam, you could fall!" The butler was so worried he broke out in a sweat.
Zii shook her head indifferently: "Don’t worry, I have good skills... it won’t happen..." she said, hiccuping from the alcohol.
Drunk as she was, she still rembered she had good skills.
The butler didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Zii stopped looking at the two, and raised her head to gulp down the wine. She drank a bit rashly, red wine spilling from the corner of her mouth, staining her snow-white nightgown in patches of dark red.
"Miss, you—"
The butler wanted to say sothing more, but Ye Cheng suddenly spoke up, "Uncle Chen, let persuade her."
Although the butler was worried, he knew about Zii’s temperant.
Nothing could compel her, except Ye Cheng.
