The cave on Naless Mountain was extrely spacious, and the Golden Winged Mantis once again laid on the stone wall.
Its golden triangular head was leisurely opening and closing its sharp mouth, making it appear exceedingly at ease.
Paired with its golden insect wings lazily stacked together, it gave the illusion of dozing off.
The entire cave was very quiet; aside from the breeze that blew through the entrance and rustled the stone wall, there were no other sounds.
Just then, from deeper beneath the ground, a yellow-brown spirit light quietly approached.
The spirit light was very large, yet its movents were extrely careful, and it was evidently very familiar with navigating underground, as it obviously hadn't co here infrequently during this period.
After seeing that the Golden Winged Mantis hadn't made any movent, the yellow-brown spirit light cautiously moved several tis beneath the ground, and only after quite so shifting did it slowly climb up.
Strangely, when the yellow-brown spirit light touched the stone wall, it once again transford into a gray-white spirit light, blending with the stone wall into one color.
"A color-changing lizard?" Not far from the Golden Winged Mantis, beneath a green Taoist robe, an invisible figure was lost in thought.
That figure was none other than Lin Shiming, who was concealed behind the scene, except this ti the bait was the Golden Winged Mantis, so he simply wore his Qinglian Taoist Robe.
Feeling the escape light from beneath the ground, Lin Shiming also found it extrely peculiar.
After all, the Qinglian Taoist Robe he wore was made from the skin of a color-changing lizard.
Under Lin Shiming's gaze, the grey-white escape light continued to ascend, clearly heading towards the Golden Winged Mantis.
Since the Golden Winged Mantis hadn't noticed it, Lin Shiming had no choice but to use the Spirit Contract to remind it.
Almost concurrently with the reminder, the grey-white escape light burst out from the stone wall, then transford into a massive fleshly maw, and violently swallowed towards the Golden Winged Mantis.
The Golden Winged Mantis, being alerted, was also very vigilant, and the infuriated creature imdiately fluttered its six wings, leaving behind an afterimage.
Then, its two enormous golden sickle-like legs fiercely slashed at the lizard.
However, against Lin Shiming's expectations, layers of sand shields appeared around the lizard, bearing so similarity to the spells cast by Lin Houwei.
But this lizard's were unmistakably more terrifying.
The Quicksand Shield rumbled loudly, successfully blocking the golden sickle legs.
Yet the next mont, as the sand dispersed, a ball of yellow-brown spirit light appeared in the gaping maw.
"Breath!" Lin Shiming also gasped in surprise from the side.
Such breath attacks were exclusive to dragon-lineage Demonic Beasts.
This lizard was not just any color-changing lizard, but a Dragon Lizard!
Lin Shiming felt a surge of excitent in his heart. The Demonic Beasts in this world, regardless of their species, as long as they carried a dragon lineage, were certainly extraordinary creatures, and dragon-lineage Demonic Beasts had one major characteristic: they were extrely effective in body refinent.
Among them, the effects of the Flood Dragon were the best, with just the blood of a Flood Dragon being extrely precious.
As Lin Shiming pondered, the breath had already fiercely sprayed onto the Golden Winged Mantis, but the golden legs tore it apart violently.
Yet the remaining force enraged the Golden Winged Mantis even more, causing it to continuously screech.
The Dragon Lizard didn't stop there. It stretched out its long tongue, attempting to coil around the mantis and reel it in.
However, at that mont, Lin Shiming made his move. He fiercely struck the Shocking God Drum, and as spirit patterns surged forth, another Split Spirit Blade landed on the Dragon Lizard's forehead.
The Dragon Lizard let out a piercing shriek and its whole body's sand shields began to automatically condense.
His body began to subrge automatically towards the depths below.
However, Lin Shiming, who had co well-prepared, wouldn't make any mistakes. He threw out a flag, and a Spirit Formation rose up, directly breaking the Flood Dragon's Earth Escape Technique.
Then, nurous Purple Gold Vines spread out and wrapped the Dragon Lizard into a purple bundle. In the next mont, a fiery red Red-haired Demon Monkey appeared, lifting the Profound Spirit Mountain and smashed it down on the Dragon Lizard.
Landing a direct hit like a mountain, it collapsed the Quicksand Shield, and imdiately after, a purple golden spear pierced through the Dragon Lizard's neck.
Sand scattered and fell, while the Purple Gold Vines retracted under the command of Lin Shiming's Spirit Art.
As the Spirit Light faded, it revealed a huge lizard that was three ters tall, covered with earth-yellow Spirit Patterns, and adorned with unsightly bulges of flesh.
Most peculiarly, on its forehead, there was a small bulge.
Both the Golden Winged Mantis and the Red-haired Demon Monkey howled and rushed toward the corpse, obviously wanting to feast on the Dragon Lizard.
The Dragon Lizard wanted to eat them, but they equally coveted the flesh of this Dragon Beast.
Lin Shiming also stepped forward, chopped off the two legs of the Dragon Lizard, giving one to each beast. The rest of the body was then stored in his Cave Heaven World.
The flesh and blood of the Dragon Lizard was top-notch material for Body Refinent, and its claws and tail were high-grade materials for crafting; naturally, Lin Shiming wouldn't let these two beasts ruin them. Continue your adventure with empire
It was just a pity that the Dragon Lizard was clearly a juvenile Demonic Beast; otherwise, once that bulge grew into a horn, its value would have increased by hundreds of tis.
Of course, by then, it might not be sothing he could kill.
The two beasts were clearly dissatisfied with only getting such a small leg each, but after Lin Shiming tapped their foreheads twice, they obediently nibbled on the legs in their hands.
The Golden Winged Mantis and the Red-haired Demon Monkey quickly devoured the small legs of the lizard. Both Spirit Beasts ate until their faces glowed red and they were full of vigor, one howling and the other squeaking non-stop, jumping up and down excitably.
This scene made Lin Shiming feel rather amazed, and he beca greatly interested in the flesh of the Dragon Lizard.
Whether his Mountain Ape Body Refining Technique could advance to the level of a Foundation Establishnt Body Refining Cultivator depended on this opportunity.
After circling around a few tis, the Red-haired Demon Monkey eagerly pointed towards Lin Shiming's waist, clearly wanting to return to the Spirit Beast Bag to sleep.
What surprised Lin Shiming was that the Golden Winged Mantis showed no intention of returning at all. Its golden head tinged with red vibrated as it communicated with Lin Shiming, then turned its head to investigate in another direction, right towards where the Dragon Lizard had co from.
Seeing this, Lin Shiming's interest grew. The Golden Winged Mantis's behavior was clearly suggesting that he search for the Dragon Lizard's cave.
Lin Shiming released his Divine Sense and took out an Earth Escape Talisman, beginning to pursue through Earth Escape.
The Golden Winged Mantis took the lead underground, constantly guiding Lin Shiming to the right location.
After maneuvering left and right, passing nurous mountain peaks, they finally stopped above a fissure.
As he erged from the ground, Lin Shiming felt the surrounding Spiritual Energy was exceptionally abundant, clearly coming from a natural Spirit Vein.
The level of the Spirit Vein reached the Inferior Grade of the Third Rank, albeit leaning towards the Earth Attribute.
At this mont, Lin Shiming's excitent and elation were beyond words. His Divine Sense probed out and discovered that this fissure, like the Yellow Grade Secret Realm he once stumbled upon, ford a natural Spirit Concealing Formation, which contained and concentrated the Spiritual Energy from the Spirit Vein.
As a result, the Spiritual Energy of the Spirit Vein grew denser and denser.
Lin Shiming was fine, but for an average Cultivator who practiced Earth Attribute techniques, their Cultivation speed here would certainly be much faster.
There weren't many plants in the fissure, and Lin Shiming's Divine Sense soon located the Dragon Lizard's den.
With a single flap of its wings, the Golden Winged Mantis transford into a streak of golden light and headed straight for the den, evidently there were Spiritual Objects inside that enticed it.
Realizing there were no dangerous Spirit Beasts around, Lin Shiming also quickly followed suit.
