“Four a.m.?” Steve Price happened to walk in, surprisingly exclaid, “Why would you get up at 4 a.m., President Mat? You usually don’t wake up until after seven, right?”
Confusion spread across Xaviera’s face. Didn’t Caleb wake up at six? Sotis he woke up even earlier. Why was Steve saying that he woke up only after seven?
Steve Price continued, “Lonely? After he gets ready in the morning and has breakfast with you, he goes to work where hundreds of people are vying for his attention. How could he possibly be lonely? If anything, he should be grateful he’s not overwheld!”
The truth dawned on Xaviera. Caleb didn’t rise early every day. He occasionally woke up early to exercise. He wasn’t as lonely and pitiful as she imagined?
Caleb put down his chopsticks, his face falling.
