She felt a dull pain in her temples, as if her head was about to explode. Her vision was blurred with tears, and she tasted the tallic tang of blood in her throat.
She looked up and saw Xaviera Evans’ eyes. Xaviera’s expression was indifferent, not a flicker of emotion on her breathtaking face, stunning enough to incite jealousy. At that mont, Zora Hughes was in a miserable state. She was sweating profusely, the makeup on her face sared.
Zora Hughes’ body shook violently, and she couldn’t force out a single word. After a long while, she frantically dashed out, leaving everyone in the room dumbfounded.
Xaviera’s cold gaze fell on Nidya Hughes, who glared back at her venomously. “Xaviera Evans, this is your doing!”
“Mrs. Hughes, are we close? This is the Mat Corporation’s banquet, please leave.” Xaviera responded dismissively, without even raising her head. She didn’t entertain Nidya Hughes.
Nidya’s face turned red with anger, as if she had been slapped across the face. The burning sensation on her face was unbearable. She ground her teeth together, venting her frustration, “Xaviera, even though I might have done sothing wrong in the past, after all, I am your…why do you treat like an enemy!”

Nidya’s face turned pale. Caleb Mat and his wife were united in chasing her away when she was, after all, Xaviera’s biological mother!

Caleb Mat looked up, feigning innocence, his deep dark eyes twinkling.
Xaviera gave a playful grin, “It’s all because you’re too handso. So many won like you and co to trouble ; Zara Woods in the past, now Zora Hughes. How many more won are you going to attract!”
