Chapter 860: Chapter 860: Mrs. Mat Cries Again
“Little girl, you’re so beautiful. It’s a pity for you to be sold to a brothel to serve those old n. Why not keep us company instead? If you behave and make us happy, we might keep you around, so you won’t have to suffer there,” the man said provocatively.
Xaviera Evans appeared indifferent, lightly jumping down from the beam above and smiling, “Sure!”
Upon hearing her agreent, the three n’s eyes turned blood-red as they stared obsessively at the woman before them. They had never seen such a beautiful woman in their lives, let alone enjoying a night with her. Having a taste of her would surely make their lives complete.
This drove the n crazy, and they rushed towards her eagerly.
…
When Eric Salt and the police arrived, they heard screams coming from a room upstairs.
...
Everyone’s faces darkened, knowing Mrs. Mat was on the upper floor. If anything happened to her or if she was hard in any way, not even losing a strand of hair, they wouldn’t be able to face Caleb Mat!
Steve Price, standing nearby, thought, “…!!” Did sothing terrible happen?
Not wanting to delay, everyone rushed upstairs. The police officers held their guns, fearing that the criminals might hurt Mrs. Mat. But when they opened the door, the scene before them left them stunned.
The three n were beaten and bruised, fighting each other viciously. They glared at one another, not caring about Xaviera casually standing nearby nor noticing the intruders.
Despite the ard police officers at the doorway, the three n continued to brawl insanely, exchanging blows and refusing to back down.
Xaviera, whom everyone was most worried about getting hurt, was sitting in the corner, watching the fight with enthusiasm, as if it were a show.
Steve Price: “…” Try to restrain yourself, there are so many people watching!
Upon Dylan Wycoff’s order, the police officers moved forward and apprehended the three n. Only then did Xaviera turn her attention back and slowly stand up.
Dylan Wycoff looked at Mrs. Mat, having handled many kidnapping cases before and never seen a victim who was not scared but rather entertained watching the criminals fighting. He cleared his throat, intending to ask about the case details, when suddenly Xaviera’s eyes turned red, and she sniffled.
Steve Price: “…” Will she eventually break down after all?
Xaviera sobbed once, then rushed into the arms of the man standing behind everyone. She buried her head in his broad chest, crying both fearfully and miserably.
Caleb Mat held the little woman in his arms, shaking his head helplessly. He knew that Xaviera had used hypnotism to make the three n fight each other, but such knowledge must never be revealed to outsiders.
He reached out a hand, gently stroking Xaviera’s back, his eyes filled with tenderness.
Dylan Wycoff fell silent for a mont. Was the calm confident deanor Mrs. Mat had shown earlier all an act? Did she harbor great fear inside, and now seeing Mr. Caleb Mat, she could not hold back?
Suddenly changing his expression, Dylan realized that, based on his years of experience, this warehouse was not a simple place. He had an intuition that there were other victims here.
The next mont, Xaviera stuttered, “I think I heard a woman crying downstairs when I ca in. Is there another kidnapped woman? You should go check.”
Hearing her words, Dylan beca even more certain of his suspicions. It seed that they had inadvertently discovered a cri den.
Suddenly, frantic footsteps ca from outside, and a flustered police officer rushed in. He said anxiously, “Captain, we found…”
“Dozens of kidnapped won!”
The nurous won held captive in the basent were enough to tell everyone that this was a preditated cri den. After a series of investigations, all evidence pointed to the Swift family. These captured won had overheard a conversation between the criminals ntioning the ‘Swift family’ and ‘Sir Swift.’
Dylan Wycoff’s face turned grim. “Mr. Mat, Mrs. Mat, this is undoubtedly not a simple kidnapping case. Based on my many years of experience, I believe this is a human trafficking den. We will need ti to investigate the specifics. This case is extrely severe, and I hope both of you can co with to the police station to have your statents recorded.”
“As for Mrs. Mat…”
Dylan hesitated for a mont. The victim was emotionally unstable, and Mrs. Mat was just a fragile woman. Asking her to recall the details of the kidnapping would be too cruel and could leave psychological scars.
