Xaviera Evans casually said, “Right now, there are only two possible explanations. Either Miss Hughes intentionally occupied Lounge 108, forcing to co to Lounge 109 and faked the note, or Kori Drew was bold enough to write a note to clear himself. Mr. Drew, it’s up to you to explain.”
Clenching his teeth, Boyd Drew realized that Xaviera was forcing him to choose between Zora Hughes and Kori Drew, offending one of them in the process.
Zora’s face turned pale, she didn’t expect that she still couldn’t escape Xaviera’s suspicion and it seed that Boyd already distrusted her.
At this mont, a high-ranking mber of the Drew family spoke up unhappily, “Mrs. Mat, this is a perfu exchange event, making a scene would do no good to either party. Even if you didn’t write that note, it doesn’t prove that Kori or Miss Hughes did. You have no right to punish them. You’ve already beaten Kori, he’s paid the price, what more do you want?”
“Send it for handwriting identification,” Xaviera casually replied.
“But if we really do go for handwriting identification, that will indeed create a huge scandal. I am the internationally renowned designer Xaviera Evans from Lohill, also Caleb Mat’s wife. When the truth cos out, no matter who set up, the Drew family will suffer a huge loss.”

Both Kori Drew and Zora Hughes were vital mbers of the Drew Corporation; they couldn’t just abandon one of them because of Xaviera’s words. They couldn’t bear such a huge loss for the Drew Corporation.

After a long silence, Caleb Mat suddenly spoke with a hint of murderous intent in his voice, “Since the Drew family is not satisfied with Mrs. Mat’s conclusions, let’s send the note for identification.”
“If the Drew family offends Mrs. Mat, it ans offending , Caleb Mat. I don’t mind fighting against you all. I want to see who is bold enough to lay a hand on her!”
As his words fell, Boyd’s heart trembled. He had devoted all his energy to the new perfu line, and now that the problem with Cold Night was seemingly resolved, he couldn’t afford any more issues.
If he insisted on confronting Caleb, the latter would undoubtedly try his best to strike against the Drew Corporation. The about-to-be-launched new perfu would surely be dood, and all their previous efforts would be in vain. Moreover, the Drew family would have to bear the infamy of framing the designer of the Mat Corporation, and they would never be able to hold their heads high in the industry.
Boyd clenched his fists, his face pale and hesitating for a long ti before he slowly looked up and spoke in a gentle tone, “I’m so sorry, Mrs. Mat. This ti it’s our fault for not managing our n properly. Rest assured that the Drew family will give you a satisfactory response.”
Hearing those words, Xaviera couldn’t help but smirk.
After the Drew family left, so people whispered, “Could the Drew family really have set Mrs. Mat up?”
“Why would Mrs. Mat, who is married to such a handso and wealthy man as Mr. Caleb Mat, even look at soone like Kori Drew? Moreover, she wouldn’t have planned a secret eting with him in the restroom during a perfu exchange event. Anyone with a brain wouldn’t do such a thing. Look at how guilty Boyd and Zora looked, they must have done sothing wrong.”
“So what’s the deal with Tobey Swift?”
People gathered around, speculating that Tobey was rely a scapegoat.
On the other side, Tobey had just returned to the restroom when she received a call from the Mat family and was scolded by her elders. As she hurriedly left the clubhouse, soone pushed her hard, and she fell face-first into the mud.
She was wearing only a thin dress and was in so much pain that she hissed and gritted her teeth. Blood seeped from her arm and knee.
Seeing her miserable state, people showed disdain on their faces. However, by the ti she looked up, she could no longer find the person who had pushed her.
