Everyone’s gaze unconsciously looked towards Boyd Drew, staring at him with a puzzled expression.
Xaviera calmly said, “Kori Drew just ca in twenty minutes ago, and you guys rushed over in a hurry, afraid you wouldn’t catch and him in the sa room, so what exactly do you guys want to do?”
Boyd Drew looked at Kori Drew gloomily—the latter’s face had already been beaten to a pulp—and exclaid, “Mrs. Mat left a note! It’s in my pocket!”
Soone ca forward and took a note out of his pocket. Everyone took a closer look and couldn’t help but exclaim. The note was indeed left by Mrs. Mat. To have an affair in such a situation, they had enormous guts!
“Is everyone in the Drew family so unintelligent?” Xaviera sneered and disdainfully said, “With his appearance—triangular eyes, flat face, and a sleazy, oily, and sinister man—how could I like him? I have such an excellent and handso husband, like Caleb, so why would I risk having an affair with this ugly man?”
After being ridiculed one after another, Kori Drew was so angry that smoke seed to co out of his seven orifices. He couldn’t help but curse, “It’s you, bitch! You left the note!”
“In that case, why not bring this note for identification and see if it’s my handwriting so that no one can use it to wrong ? Actions speak louder than words.”
As Xaviera finished speaking, she looked at Zora Hughes, who walked out from Lounge 108. Zora acted surprised, “What’s going on? Why is everyone here? Xaviera, what happened?”
Soone hurriedly explained the situation to Zora. Upon hearing it, she imdiately exclaid, “Xaviera, you can’t possibly be suspecting , can you? No matter what, I am still your cousin. How could I harm you? That note… ”
“Miss Hughes, when did I say I suspect you? Why are you so eager to exonerate yourself? Are you feeling guilty?” Xaviera interrupted nonchalantly.
“Also, the lady who just explained the situation to you didn’t ntion that Kori Drew ca to see in Lounge 109 because of the note. How did Miss Hughes know about the note?”
Zora’s face imdiately changed.
Normally, Zora had just co out of the restroom and wouldn’t know about the note if no one had inford her.
“Because I heard you guys talking about the note in the next room, so I ca out to take a look. I was also worried that Xaviera might misunderstand , so that’s why I ca to explain.”
“Is the sound insulation of the lounge so bad? Even a small noise like this was heard by Miss Hughes, but Kori Drew scread for so long and you didn’t co out to look.”
Xaviera continued to question. Zora lowered her head nervously and stamred, “I didn’t know you were next door. I did hear a man scream, but I am incapable of aiding and didn’t dare to go out.”
Xaviera chuckled and nodded, “Miss Hughes makes sense. So, Mr. Drew, shouldn’t you give a reasonable explanation as to why soone from the Drew family suddenly broke into my restroom and tried to do sothing improper to ?”
Boyd Drew’s face was gloomy, and after a glance at Zora, he suddenly understood the cause and effect. It was Zora who deliberately left the note to lure Kori Drew over. Even though he already knew the truth, he couldn’t push Zora out to take responsibility because she was the perfur of the new scent. If sothing happened to her, all his efforts so far would be wasted. He could only bear the bla for Zora.
He looked at Kori Drew, whose face was swollen and bruised, and wondered who exactly was trying to do sothing improper to whom.
