“Xaviera, now that you’ve asked your questions, I also have a few things I’m curious about,” Caleb Mat said, looking at her with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile. His voice was low, “You seem to know a lot about perfus? And you also seem to know Sally’s character.”
Xaviera’s expression froze instantly. She looked down, avoiding his gaze. “What’s there to be confused about! Of course, I investigated it because I was worried about you! Don’t forget, I’m a top-tier hacker!”
Gaining confidence as she spoke, Xaviera continued in all seriousness: “That’s it! You told that the Drew Corporation was releasing a new perfu, so I did so research on perfus. In the process, I also investigated the perfur Sally. Let tell you, she isn’t a very nice person!”

Xaviera spoke in haste to cover her growing anxiety, then stole a glance at Caleb to gauge his reaction.
Caleb remained placid, responding lightly, “Maybe I was overthinking. I thought Mrs. Mat… knew how to mix scents.”
Xaviera quickly waved her hands, “No, I don’t know anything about that! You’re giving too much credit!”
She then quickly changed the subject, “Oh, by the way, my older and younger brothers are coming to the Lowen Clubhouse to see . They’ll be visiting us at ho tonight.”
It took Caleb a few seconds to process this. They had never ntioned visiting the Lowen Clubhouse before; why would they suddenly want to visit, and at night?

The Flack Villa.
Elijah Flack and Quine Heninger sat in the living room, facing each other. Elijah Flack squinted at Quine, “Are you certain that the person appeared at the Lowen Clubhouse for the last ti?”
Quine’s gaze was icy cold, “The information from Lingo Pavilion can’t be wrong.”
“Caleb Mat is not to be underestimated!” Elijah’s brow furrowed, “He quietly took out Boyd Drew’s henchn, dealing a heavy blow to the Drew family. Yet Xaviera thought Caleb was being bullied by the Drews. When actually, such a shrewd and cunning man, could be manipulating her?”
Quine pursed his lips, a trace of disbelief flashing across his normally icy face, “Who could manipulate Xaviera? Moreover, I think he wouldn’t do such a thing.”
Still, Elijah was sowhat worried: “Since the people from Lingo Pavilion have discovered that Caleb captured Boyd Drew’s man, we should investigate the Lowen Clubhouse as well. Even though Xaviera has married him, we can’t be sure he won’t harm her.”
“His thods are so ruthless, and he has never shown rcy to his enemies. If he used the sa thods against Xaviera…” Elijah’s eyes chilled, “How can such a fragile girl withstand it?”
Albert Sullivan had just entered and heard his brother’s frustrated sigh. He couldn’t control the slight twitch at the corner of his mouth.
Xaviera, fragile? When did his brother beco blind?
However, all Albert could do was grumble inwardly. He dared not mock Elijah to his face. His brother and Caleb Mat were of the sa ilk. Offending his brother would undoubtedly end tragically.
With a light-hearted air, Elijah said, “Regardless of who Caleb really is or how brutal his thods might be, as long as Xaviera likes him, I won’t interfere in their affairs. But if he dares to harm Xaviera, I would stake my life to make him regret it!”
Lowen Clubhouse.
Xaviera returned to her bedroom while Caleb headed for the sub-basent’s third level.
Sean Price’s expression was solemn. “Quine discovered three months ago that Boyd Drew’s assistant had disappeared. But he never connected it to us. Maybe they’re already suspicious.”
“If Quine traces it back to here…”
Caleb looked calm. “It’s expected that he could trace it back. After all, he is the head of Lingo Pavilion.”
“Even if they find out, they won’t care about how ruthless my thods are. They only care about Xaviera,” Caleb said with a aningful smile.
Even though Caleb was the young master of the Mat family, he had built his own business empire. His wealth and status had nothing to do with the Mat family. So might consider him lucky, but his success ca from his resolute and decisive nature and his determination to succeed at any cost.
Quine and Elijah must have investigated him as well. These two didn’t care about who he was, as long as he was good to Xaviera, and she liked him, nothing else mattered.
