Upon hearing Manning Warwick’s words, hope kindled in Zora Hughes’ eyes. Could it be that Mr. Warwick was willing to take her to et his sister apprentice?

Zora was slightly stunned, thinking that Manning Warwick was just testing whether she was genuinely interested in eting his sister apprentice, hence why he kept repeating her words.
After all, the senior apprentice is the last disciple of Mr. Page Uland, not everyone can et her. Manning Warwick would not casually introduce her; he had to confirm whether she genuinely admired the senior apprentice.

So, Zora exclaid excitedly, “Yes, I’ve heard that the senior is Mr. Page Uland’s only disciple, her strength must be imnse, and I’m really eager to et her. Even just a faraway glimpse would suffice, I hope Mr. Warwick can understand my desire to see my idol.”

Madam Hughes looked up and saw that it was Xaviera laughing. She was suddenly filled with a ferocious anger, her eyes filled with malice as she stared at Xaviera’s face, ranting in a nearly mad roar, “What are you laughing at!”
Xaviera glanced at her indifferently, as if in her eyes Madam Hughes was nothing more than a speck of dust.
When Madam Hughes saw those eyes, identical to Letitia Russell’s, her anger flared, and her expression beca more and more fierce, her eyes burning with hatred as she glared at Xaviera.
“You, you little bitch! What are you laughing at? Speak up!”
Xaviera’s smile didn’t fade, even in the face of Madam Hughes’ ranting. She replied nonchalantly, “Of course I’m laughing because it’s funny!”
She stood at the entrance of the box, leaning lightly against the door, dressed in an elegant long skirt that accentuated her slim waist. It was then that everyone realized that Miss Evans’ charm was in no way inferior to Letitia Russell.
“What’s so funny? Did I say sothing wrong?” Madam Hughes was livid, her piercing voice filled the whole box. “Xaviera Evans, do you have the nerve to laugh at others? You cheated in the Libanan University competition, and Zora made a small mistake, but this is still just a misunderstanding. Now all she wants is to et the person she admires, can’t she do that?”
