Chapter 1027: Chapter 1027: Expelling Xaviera Evans, to Set an Example Chapter 1027: Chapter 1027: Expelling Xaviera Evans, to Set an Example Joan Lentz’s face turned pale with anger, suppressing the urge to curse out loud, and resentfully said, “You keep saying this work is bad, then what is considered good?”

“Xaviera Evans, now that the truth is out, I suggest you admit your mistake and seek Mr. Steel’s forgiveness. There’s still room for a turnaround if you do. But if you continue to argue, you’ll regret it when it escalates!”

Everyone mocked Xaviera Evans’ stupidity. With so many calligraphers and artists present, it was only digging her own grave and ultimately destroying her reputation by doing this.

But amid the crowd’s accusations, Xaviera Evans appeared indifferent, not the least bit flustered, and listened quietly to Joan Lentz’s words.

Annoyed by her indifferent attitude, Joan Lentz mockingly said, “Miss Evans, since you think this work is not good, why don’t you show us sothing better so we can learn a thing or two?”

All this ti, Lance Steel had been sitting on the judges’ seats, seemingly indifferent to the chaos on the scene. By now, he was certain that this work was ghostwritten by Xaviera. How could a 20-year-old girl write such a high-standard character?

Perhaps in this situation, she couldn’t admit to having soone else write for her, so she had no choice but to swallow her pride.

After hearing Joan Lentz’s words, Lance Steel finally spoke: “Joan is right. Miss Evans, since you say this work is not good, show us sothing better!”

Lance Steel looked at her contemptuously, “If Miss Evans can’t show us sothing better, not only did you cheat, but you insulted the calligraphers present. Do you still have the face to stay in school?”

Xaviera Evans raised her eyebrows: “So you an I should write sothing on the spot?”

Lance Steel nodded with disdain.

Xaviera Evans smiled: “Alright then.”

Everyone was suddenly interested when they heard this. It was their first ti seeing soone accused of cheating refusing to accept defeat and willing to prove their innocence on the spot. However, they didn’t believe Xaviera Evans could write sothing better than this, as Lance Steel’s standard was already top-notch.

The principal’s face was full of embarrassnt. Others might not know Xaviera Evans’ background, but he was clear that Mrs. Mat, the wife of Caleb Mat, had no need to cheat. Besides, Xaviera Evans was talented and versatile, and her calligraphy skills were comndable. Why ruin her reputation for such a trivial competition?

If Mrs. Mat was wronged, Caleb Mat would certainly be angry, and it might even affect the school. The principal sighed helplessly.

At this ti, soone from Class 1 asked, “Winifred, do you think Xaviera Evans can write well?”

Winifred Drew masked the disdain in her eyes and smiled faintly, “Miss Evans may be a bit arrogant. She might be good at calligraphy, but she can’t surpass Mr. Steel. Moreover, openly mocking Mr. Steel is not befitting of a teacher. A school teacher should set an example. If the teacher cheats, how can we manage the students?”

Her words clearly expressed her thoughts: Xaviera Evans was deceiving herself!

In a mont, the head of the calligraphy departnt prepared brushes and paper. Joan Lentz personally laid the paper for Xaviera Evans, smirked contemptuously, “Miss Evans, please!”

Xaviera Evans went onstage under the watchful eyes of the crowd. She lowered her head to look at the paper and ink, and thought that Joan Lentz was quite an upright person. The paper and ink prepared for her were of high quality, perhaps so she wouldn’t bla the materials if the work didn’t turn out well.

She casually chose a brush that suited her and dipped it in the ink, then started to write gracefully on the paper.

Joan Lentz didn’t even bother to watch and turned to mockingly say, “Principal Hayek, how could your school have such a shaless teacher? I hope you will fire her imdiately to set things right!”

Principal Hayek replied solemnly, “Whether or not the school dismisses her is our internal matter. If she indeed cheated, we will punish her.”

“If?” Joan Lentz snorted, “She clearly cheated and even stole Mr. Lance Steel’s work! She knew Mr. Lance Steel was a judge, yet she was so audacious!”

Principal Hayek frowned, looking embarrassed. The other school leaders present were also unhappy. Dismissing a teacher was no small matter. It was the school’s decision and not for outsiders to intervene.

Moreover, Joan Lentz knew soone had cheated but didn’t discuss it with the school to resolve the issue. Instead, he brought it up publicly, making Libanan University lose face!

Principal Hayek said solemnly, “It’s too early to make a conclusion now. Let’s wait until Miss Evans has finished writing. It’s not up to Mr. Lentz to decide whether she cheated or not.”

“Wait for her to finish? I want to see what she can write… Hmph…”
