Chapter 1013: Chapter 1013: Dr. Sabir’s Provocation Chapter 1013: Chapter 1013: Dr. Sabir’s Provocation Xaviera Evans looked serious: “Dr. Sabir, I don’t recall having an appointnt to et with you. What do you want?”
Her tone was distant and questioning, clearly knowing that she wasn’t at the dical Association to see him. He might have been able to fool others, but not her.
Dr. Sabir suddenly smiled, the corners of his mouth gradually widening. “Miss Evans, even if I hadn’t told Dr. Jo, we would have t soon anyway. Why not give ourselves an excuse to et as we should?”
Xaviera’s face turned cold. They would be eting soon? She didn’t know Dr. Sabir at all. Her reason for coming to the dical Association today was to—
Suddenly, she shuddered and looked into the man’s deep eyes. Besides investigating the whereabouts of the pills, she also had another important task – to investigate Felix Sabir’s identity. Since she suspected there might be a mole within the dical Association, she did not publicize her intentions and wanted to investigate secretly. So he was…
He smiled slightly: “Miss Evans has been looking for for a long ti, hasn’t she? Now that I am here in person, don’t you want to say sothing?”
Xaviera’s face turned pale. Dr. Sabir was Mr. Linton’s grandson who took his mother’s surna. He was Felix Sabir, the one who spread the rumor that the blood of the successor of the Miracle Doctor Saint Hand could detoxify anything!
Xaviera used to think that Felix Sabir was a fake na. But now that he stood in front of her, she still felt unsure about his identity.
Felix laughed: “Miss Evans’ people have been investigating . Why is it that now you have seen you look as if you’ve seen a ghost?”
“I knew Miss Evans would follow the trail of the dical Association to investigate . Since you would find sooner or later, I might as well appear directly to save us both a lot of trouble.”
“Are you a mber of the dical Association?” Xaviera’s face was icy.
“I joined the dical Association not long ago.” Felix pointed to the docunts beside him. “This is my research achievent.”
Xaviera picked up the docunts and took a look. It was a newly developed drug that could sowhat control the spread of cancer cells without any side effects on the human body. The drug had a significant impact once it hit the market, but its high price made it temporarily inaccessible to the general population.
“Miss Evans, don’t doubt my identity. Even if my grandfather hadn’t recomnded to join the dical Association, I would have qualified with my abilities,” Felix said confidently.
Xaviera’s mouth twitched slightly. While this research achievent was indeed impressive, the man standing before her had such an annoying face!
She knew Felix had real skills, or else Dr. Jo wouldn’t have praised him so much. Even with Mr. Linton’s recomndation, he still needed his own abilities to join the dical Association.
However, Xaviera didn’t understand how Felix knew she was investigating his identity and what his intentions were in suddenly revealing himself.
Looking at Xaviera’s thoughtful appearance, Felix laughed heartily. “Miss Evans, there’s no need to be so tense. I just wanted to et the young lady of the dical Association and see what is so impressive about Miss Evans that everyone admires her. Do you think I have any ulterior motives?”
Xaviera’s face darkened, and she pursed her lips tightly. She didn’t like this man, who always seed cunning.
“I’m just a curious person. I’ve never seen Miss Evans before, so I wanted to et you. But I don’t understand why Miss Evans has such hostility the first ti we et?” His eyes narrowed slightly, and his smile carried a touch of ridicule.
Xaviera beca even angrier. This man was clearly provoking her. He was the one who spread the rumors, yet he pretended not to know and acted in front of her. After all, she had no evidence. Who would believe her baseless accusations?
Moreover, even if she found evidence, Felix could still argue that he just casually ntioned it without intending for others to hear. He ant no harm.
What innocence!
Xaviera sneered: “Mr. Coriell, what do you think? I just want to remind you that no one can avoid getting their shoes wet if they walk by the river all the ti. So people are not to be provoked. Don’t get yourself burned.”
She had never t this Felix Sabir before. She had t Mr. Linton a few tis, but he had never ntioned this grandson. Knowing that Mr. Linton had forged a paternity test, she didn’t trouble him in return for his years of dedication. Felix had no reason to bear a grudge against her, so why was he causing trouble for her for no reason?
