Chapter 141: Chapter 141 Release her imdiately

Scarlett’s POV

The shockwave from my confrontation with Marcia rippled through my life faster than I anticipated.

I had pushed that insufferable woman into the hospital with a damaged tailbone. At her age, bone injuries were no small matter—the doctors said she needed at least two days of hospitalization followed by weeks of recovery.

With Marcia temporarily out of the picture, I knew I needed to act fast. That scheming little harlot Mona was carrying my husband’s child—a bastard that threatened everything I’d worked for in the Sterling family. Without Marcia’s protection, Mona was vulnerable, and I intended to eliminate the problem before it grew any larger.

I arranged for so trusted pack mbers to detain Mona.

My wolf Selene paced anxiously inside , hungry for revenge against the woman who dared to carry my mate’s child.

But Mona, that conniving bitch, had anticipated my move. Before my n could even get her out of the apartnt building, she’d already called Lawrence Sterling.

Just as I was preparing to have one of our pack healers administer a special herbal concoction that would terminate the pregnancy, Lawrence burst through the door.

His eyes flashed amber with fury, his Alpha presence filling the room and making my wolves cower.

"Release her imdiately," he growled, the command resonating with unmistakable Alpha authority.

My wolves dropped their hands from Mona’s arms as if they’d been burned. I felt the crushing weight of Lawrence’s dominance, though I fought against showing any outward reaction.

"This woman is carrying my grandchild," Lawrence announced, placing a protective hand on Mona’s shoulder. "Anyone who threatens her threatens the future of the Northstream Pack."

He turned his cold gaze directly on . "That includes you, Scarlett."

My blood boiled beneath my skin. "She’s nothing but a whore who seduced your son! My husband!"

"Your marriage to my son has produced no heirs," Lawrence replied coldly. "The Northstream Pack needs strong bloodlines to continue. Mona’s child carries Sterling blood. That’s all that matters to ."

Within hours, Lawrence had moved Mona to a separate villa in the wealthy district of North Ridge. He assigned a team of bodyguards and staff to attend to her every need. The house was fortified with security systems that would make Fort Knox jealous—all to protect that little parasite growing in her womb.

Back at the Sterling mansion, I smashed every breakable object I could find. The servants scattered like frightened rabbits when they heard

coming. My wolf howled with frustration inside , clawing to be released so she could hunt down Mona and rip out her throat.

"How dare they?" I scread, hurling a crystal vase against the wall. "How dare they treat

like this? I am a Sutton! My father is the Beta of the Black Snake Pack!"

But my rage accomplished nothing except a destroyed living room. With no access to Mona, I turned my fury toward soone else—soone who had caused all my problems to begin with.

Victoria Lancaster.

I drove to the gleaming tower of Lancaster Enterprises downtown, my claws digging into the steering wheel. This had to be her doing. She must have orchestrated this entire situation—sending Mona to seduce Ethan, turning my in-laws against . Victoria was behind it all, I was certain.

I stord into the lobby, pushing past security who tried to stop .

"Victoria Lancaster!" I scread, my voice echoing through the marble atrium. "Show your face, you manipulative bitch! Are you satisfied now? Was this your plan all along?"

Heads turned, phones ca out to record the spectacle, but I didn’t care. Let them see. Let everyone see what that woman had done to .

To my surprise, Victoria actually appeared from the elevator, walking calmly toward

with that infuriating look of superiority on her face. She wore a tailored charcoal suit that accentuated her curves—the sa curves Ethan had once worshipped. My wolf snarled at the mory.

"You have so nerve showing up here," Victoria said coolly, keeping a careful distance between us. "Security, it’s alright. I’ll handle this."

I laughed bitterly. "Handle this? Like you’ve been handling everything else from behind the scenes? You sent that ho-wrecking whore to destroy my marriage, didn’t you?"

Victoria’s eyebrows rose. "You have a ntal disorder, don’t you? You can’t keep your man’s heart, and sohow that’s my fault?" She shook her head in mock pity. "Mona may not be subtle, but she learned from the best, didn’t she? Wasn’t this exactly your strategy when you were pursuing Ethan while he was with ?"

My wolf scratched closer to the surface, begging to be released. "That was different! I’m worthy of Ethan. I co from an established pack. I have breeding, connections, status! Now he’s chasing after nobodies like you and that human slut!"

"First I was a nobody, now I’m the mastermind behind your marriage falling apart?" Victoria laughed, the sound grating on my nerves. "Make up your mind, Scarlett."

She took a step closer, her voice lowering. "If I were you, I’d focus on improving myself rather than obsessing over a man who clearly doesn’t want you. You could be leading the Sutton business operations, making sothing of yourself. Instead, you’re here, throwing a tantrum over Ethan Sterling—a man I wouldn’t even consider garbage worthy of the trash can."

My cheeks burned with humiliation as I heard snickers from onlookers.

"You’re degrading yourself," Victoria continued rcilessly. "If you keep defining your worth through a man who treats you like an afterthought, don’t be surprised when others treat you the sa way."

She turned to leave, then paused. "Oh, and if you ever co to my building to scream like a banshee again, I’ll personally ensure that Lancaster Enterprises acquires one of Sutton Holdings’ projects. For each ti you harass , I’ll take another. Today’s little outburst has already cost your family the Westridge developnt deal. Consider it a lesson in consequences."

I watched her walk away, her heels clicking confidently on the marble floor. Impossible. The Westridge deal had been in negotiations for months. My father had been counting on that contract.

With trembling fingers, I called my father, but his line was busy. I tried his assistant repeatedly until finally getting through.

"Mr. Sutton is in an ergency board eting," the assistant told , his voice tight with stress. "Lancaster Enterprises just outbid us for the Westridge developnt. Your father is... not taking it well."

My legs gave way beneath , and I sank to my knees in the middle of the Lancaster Enterprises lobby. People walked around , so filming, others whispering. But I barely noticed them.

Victoria had actually done it. She’d taken our project—our future—just like she promised. And she’d done it with a single phone call.

I felt sothing I hadn’t experienced since I was a cub—genuine fear. Victoria Lancaster wasn’t just my rival for Ethan’s affections anymore. She was sothing far more dangerous.

And for the first ti, I wondered if I had severely underestimated who I was dealing with.
