Chapter 13: Chapter 13 Nobody move

Victoria’s POV

I sat in the private room of the club, caught in an utterly bizarre situation. One man was pouring

drinks, another massaging my shoulders, and a third rubbing my legs. Sohow, I’d accidentally turned this exclusive nightclub into so kind of massage parlor.

Grace stood frozen in disbelief for several seconds before finally erupting.

"Victoria!" she cried out in frustration. "I brought these n here to have drinks with you! Enough with the massages." She pointed at a particularly handso man. "You—go hold her and feed her drinks!"

I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassnt. This wasn’t at all what I’d had in mind for the evening.

The handso young man gathered his courage, wrapping his arm around my waist and raising a glass to my lips. The intimacy was overwhelming—his cologne far too potent for my enhanced wolf senses. I felt deeply uncomfortable as this inappropriate male approached uninvited. Nora, my wolf, bristled beneath my skin, her fur standing on end.

When I reached for the glass, my body went rigid. "I can drink it myself," I said firmly.

"That’s no fun, beautiful," the young man insisted, blocking my attempt to take the glass. "Let

take care of you."

When I refused to let him pour the drink into my mouth, he hesitated, then took a sip himself. But instead of swallowing, he leaned toward , clearly intending to transfer the liquid through a kiss.

My eyes widened in shock. Is this how humans played these gas?

It felt completely wrong. Despite the man’s youth and good looks, I found myself nauseated. Nora growled in disgust, ready to force a partial shift if necessary to protect our dignity. I couldn’t understand how anyone could enjoy such an encounter.

As the young man approached, my entire body tensed in rejection, his lips only an inch from mine.

That’s when the door suddenly burst open. Several n in wolf pack security uniforms entered, each carrying the authority of pack law enforcent.

"Nobody move," the lead officer commanded. "We’ve received reports of illegal services being provided here in violation of Pack Law Section Three. You’re coming with us."

"Sir, this is a misunderstanding," Grace protested, gesturing around the room. "Nothing inappropriate is happening here—just normal socializing and drinking."

"Since when is it illegal for single adults to drink together?"

I remained silent.

Sothing wasn’t right—how had the police gained entry to Felix’s establishnt so easily? Why were they only raiding our room?

"Whether it’s illegal will be determined at the station," the officer said firmly. "You all need to co with us—unless you manage to escape our grasp."

Hearing these words, the male models frantically rushed toward the door.

No one wanted to be dragged to the police station for sothing like this, especially with families being notified.

"Sir, we really haven’t broken any laws!" Grace insisted, her voice rising with indignation.

The uniford man shook his head disapprovingly. "Young she-wolves like you shouldn’t be in places like this. Your families must be notified about this matter."

My heart sank. I couldn’t explain this situation to Grandfather.

As the heir to the Crescent Dawn Pack, I shouldn’t be caught in a nightclub police raid.

"We completely understand," I said, trying to sound remorseful. "This will never happen again. Could we please not involve our families?"

Just then, the door opened. A tall, imposing figure filled the doorfra.

The man walked in confidently, his voice deep and authoritative: "I’m her family."

"What?" I stared in disbelief. Of all people, Damian Sterling had to witness my humiliation.

"You are...?" the officer questioned.

Damian looked at

expectantly. "Tell him who I am."

If I denied knowing him, the officers might call my grandfather—

And I had a feeling this was a preditated raid.

Once my true identity was revealed, negative publicity would spread through the pack like wildfire.

An Alpha heir involved in scandal? My standing would be undermined before I was even officially declared.

"He’s my brother," I went along with his story.

Just then, Grace suddenly shouted, "It’s you!"

She pointed at Felix standing in the doorway. "You reported us, didn’t you? I saw you being sneaky earlier!"

Felix raised his hands defensively. "It wasn’t ! I swear!"

"It was absolutely you, you despicable bastard!" Grace raged. "You’re the mastermind behind this whole thing!"

The atmosphere grew tense.

Felix grabbed Grace’s arm. "Your family hasn’t arrived yet—you should leave now. Co next door and have a drink with ."

"Why would I drink with you? I don’t even know you!" Grace tried to break free.

"We’re right next door," Felix insisted, lowering his voice. "Unless you want your family to find out you were here soliciting?"

"Don’t be ridiculous. Are you so kind of saint?" Grace protested. "How many tis have you brought won here without being arrested? If there’s anything wrong, it’s with the pack’s public laws."

"Obviously it’s the sa thing, yet n can do it without question."

"Won are criminals just for being suspected of it."

"This is so unfair."

Despite her outrage, Felix managed to guide her toward the adjacent room, leaving Damian and

alone with the officers.

"So he’s your brother," the officer said.

"That’s right," I replied.

Instead of pursuing further questions, the police officer instructed, "Don’t do this kind of thing again. You should abide by pack law."

I nodded obediently. "Yes, I understand."

The officer handed

a form. "Sign this promising you won’t repeat this behavior. Next ti, it’s detention and a permanent record!"

I stared at the absurd docunt, promising never to "seek inappropriate encounters with n." Everything about this situation felt strange and contrived.

Finding no obvious traps in the wording, I quickly signed my na, just wanting to end this nightmare.

The uniford n glanced at Damian, then finally left us alone.

Now it was just Damian and

in the room. The air between us felt electrified and dangerous.

"Well, well," Damian said slowly, his half-closed eyes scanning

from head to toe. "Is this your regular pasti?"

There was sothing in his gaze I couldn’t fully decipher—sothing dark and intense that made my wolf Nora stir restlessly within .

I avoided direct eye contact with him, feeling unusually self-conscious. Then I beca alert—why should I feel ashad? I was single and had done nothing wrong.

"What brings you here, ’big brother’?" I asked, emphasizing the ridiculous title.

"Just happened to be drinking with friends next door," he answered smoothly. "Then we heard soone was so desperate they needed to surround themselves with n—enough to attract police attention. I was curious about this insatiable woman." His lips curved into a knowing sneer. "Imagine my surprise when I discovered my dear sister-in-law."

Damian stepped closer, his smoky cedar and midnight rose scent overwhelming my senses.

"Is this about being unable to satisfy your needs, or are you trying to get revenge on my worthless brother?"

His presence was suffocating—the natural authority of a powerful Alpha, though he hid it well from the world. I instinctively stepped back.

eting his gaze, I kept my voice steady. "I don’t think this is any of your business."

"How is it not my business? This is the second ti I’ve saved you, sister-in-law." The way he emphasized that title made sothing flutter in my chest, like feathers tickling my insides.

"I hope you can keep today’s events confidential, Mr. Sterling," I continued. "I’ll find an opportunity to thank you appropriately."

I turned to leave this embarrassing place, but his voice stopped .

"Wait." Damian blocked my path, his eyes slowly roaming over my body.

I could see flas of desire in Damian’s eyes.

Oh yes, I admitted I was very sexy today, arousing his lust.

But that wasn’t a reason for him to violate .

I tried to avoid him.

But he blocked

again.

"If you’re looking for a man," he said, his voice dropping to a dangerous rumble, "there’s one right in front of you."

"What?" I stared at him in disbelief.

Damian approached, backing

up until my legs hit the sofa and I suddenly sat down.

He placed his hands on either side of , effectively trapping

in his embrace.

His intoxicating scent completely surrounded , drowning out the alcohol and cologne that had perated the room earlier.

We were so close, our breaths mingling, I could feel the heat radiating from his body.

My wolf was howling.

I once again beca acutely aware that I couldn’t resist my mate, no matter how much my rational mind despised him.

With nowhere to retreat, I tilted my head up to look at the handso face only inches away. Those fathomless eyes seed to see through my defenses, making my heart skip a beat.

Suddenly, he raised one hand to grip my chin. His thumb slowly brushed across my lower lip, such an intimate gesture that it sent shivers down my spine.

His voice dropped to a husky whisper that seed to resonate throughout my entire body: "If you want to get revenge on my worthless brother, aren’t I the perfect choice?"
