Chapter 104: Chapter 104 Fucked his brains out?
Victoria’s POV
I thought I could bring Damien back to his senses by calling his na, but it only drove him wilder. His lips were trailing along my collarbone, our bodies pressed together in the aftermath of what had been the most intense sexual experience of my life.
Then his phone rang, shattering the mont.
"Your phone," I murmured, pushing against his chest.
He seed to return to himself reluctantly, checking the caller ID before rejecting the call without a second thought. His eyes darkened as they road over my naked body, clearly intent on picking up where we’d left off.
I reached for his discarded suit jacket, wrapping it around my shoulders. When he leaned in for another kiss, I placed my hand against his lips.
"You might want to cool down a bit," I said, my voice still husky.
Before he could respond, his phone rang again. Business call, most likely.
"You should probably take that."
He inhaled deeply, frustration evident in his expression. "What?" he barked into the phone.
While he was distracted, I slipped away, grateful for the interruption. My wolf, Nora, whined in disappointnt at leaving our mate, but I needed space to process what had just happened between us.
I hurried back to my room, closing the door behind . Grace looked up from her magazine, eyebrows shooting toward her hairline.
"That was quick," she said with a smirk. "Don’t tell
the mighty Damien Sterling can’t perform?"
I laughed, dropping onto the bed beside her. "Oh, he performs alright. Multiple tis, with impressive stamina."
Grace’s eyes widened. "Wait, you actually—"
"Fucked his brains out? Yes," I said, running a hand through my tousled hair. "We called room service to change the sheets before you got back."
"Victoria Lancaster!" Grace squealed, throwing a pillow at . "You dirty little wolf! So all that tension between you two..."
"Resulted in the best orgasms of my life," I finished for her, unable to keep the satisfaction from my voice. "The man definitely knows what he’s doing."
"So are you two like... a thing now?"
I snorted. "Sex doesn’t equal commitnt, Grace."
"But it could," she insisted. "I an, the way he looks at you... there’s definitely sothing there."
I sighed, sobering. "He’s still a Sterling. Ethan’s brother. And I’m not looking to hand over my heart again so soon after having it shredded."
"But the chemistry—"
"Is purely physical," I cut her off, even as Nora growled in disagreent. "My body might want him, but that doesn’t an my mind or heart are on board."
Grace studied
for a mont. "Speaking of that body... nice outfit he picked for you," she said, gesturing to his suit jacket I was still wearing.
"Shit," I muttered, realizing I’d run off with his clothing. "This is his."
"Well, at least you’re not walking around naked," Grace laughed. "Though I bet that photo I took earlier would have been even more scandalous if I’d waited an hour."
"What photo?"
She grabbed her phone, pulling up an image before turning it toward . It was from earlier by the pool— in that barely-there swimsuit, colliding with Damien in his perfectly tailored suit. The visual contrast was striking, but what caught my attention was the look in his eyes—possessive, hungry, with sothing softer lurking beneath the surface.
My heart stuttered in my chest. Even Nora went still, taking in the image of our potential mate.
"I should send this to him," Grace said mischievously. "Let him enjoy the view again."
"Don’t you dare!" I lunged for the phone, but in our struggle, her finger hit the send button.
Grace’s eyes widened in horror. "Oh shit! I’m sorry!" She frantically tried to recall the ssage, but it was too late.
"Great," I groaned, falling back against the pillows. "Just what I need—Damien Sterling with photographic evidence of our... whatever this is."
"You really don’t like him?" Grace asked, her voice gentler now.
I chewed my lower lip, considering. "It’s not that I don’t like him. It’s... complicated. He’s Ethan’s brother. He’s a Sterling. And despite what just happened between us, I’m not exactly looking for a relationship right now."
"Not all wolves mate for life," Grace reminded . "So just have really good sex."
That made
laugh. "And it was really good sex," I admitted.
"I’m just saying, if he’s as skilled as you claim, why deprive yourself? Especially if you’re not looking for anything serious."
I shrugged. "I should change," I said, sliding off the bed. "I can’t exactly parade around in his jacket all day."
I changed into a long sundress with tiny yellow flowers scattered across the fabric, feeling more protected with my skin covered after being so exposed with Damien.
"So the only one who saw you in that swimsuit was Damien?" Grace mused. "If that’s not fate, I don’t know what is."
"It’s called embarrassnt," I retorted, though the mory of his hands on my body sent a shiver down my spine. "Next ti, I’m getting him naked. Seems only fair I get to see him in nothing but underwear after this."
"Never mind, I’m hungry. Let’s go eat sothing," Grace agreed to my suggestion.
But to our surprise, after we left, we ran into Damien and the Gillies brothers.
So we decided to have dinner together.
After that, we plan to go back to the hotel.
I felt the heat of Damien’s gaze on
as we walked back to the hotel rooms. My wolf, Nora, stirred restlessly inside , aware of his presence in a way that made my skin tingle. The evening had been tense, with him sitting beside
at dinner, saying little but radiating such intense alpha energy that I’d barely eaten.
Damien pulled
closer to his side. "Let’s go for a walk now."
Before I could protest, he led
away from the restaurant and toward the beach. The night had fallen, but the shoreline was still populated with various couples and small groups enjoying the evening atmosphere.
When I spotted the glowing blue waves in the distance, I froze in amazent.
"How is this so beautiful?" I whispered, finding it even more stunning than during daylight. As the waves crashed against the shore, the blue luminescence pulsed and flowed with each movent. Both the water and the sand had transford into shades of cerulean, creating the impression that the waves themselves had taken on color and form. The scene was utterly magical.
I had rarely visited beaches, and this was my first ti witnessing such a phenonon. I started to move toward the glowing water when Damien’s strong grip held
back.
"Don’t go near it," he warned, his voice taking on that protective Alpha tone that made my wolf, Nora, instinctively respond. "Those ’blue tears’ are actually a form of bioluminescent algae that can be harmful. They’re beautiful to look at from a distance, but touching them can cause skin infections."
"How did you know this would be happening tonight?" I asked, still srized by the ethereal glow.
Damien’s lips curved into a slight smile. "One of the servers ntioned it."
I nodded, understanding now. The view was truly spectacular.
"I should call Grace," I said, reaching for my phone. "She would love to see this."
Grace loved anything beautiful and magical like this. She would probably want to incorporate the colors into her next clothing line.
Before I could dial, Damien’s fingers wrapped around my wrist, stopping . "Right now, your ti belongs to , Victoria," he said in a low voice that made my heart skip a beat. "I don’t want anyone else intruding on that."
Nora stirred inside , responding to the possessiveness in his tone. What did he an by my ti belonging to him? The statent wasn’t a command, but it held the weight of one.
"Co with ," he said, guiding
away from the main beach area toward a more secluded spot.
This section was quieter, almost as if we were in our own private world. Two comfortable lounge chairs had been set up with a small table between them. The table was laden with an assortnt of snacks.
I hadn’t eaten much at dinner, and hunger was beginning to gnaw at . As soon as I sat down, I reached for the food.
"Care for a drink?" Damien produced a bottle of red wine and two crystal glasses from a cooler I hadn’t noticed before.
