Helanie:
After a while, I started to panic and struggle against the restraints. But I was trapped in silver chains, and with being pregnant and my wolf asleep inside , there was no way I could break free.
"HELLO!" I scread, and he finally responded. I watched him step into the room and stare at . For a mont, I couldn’t ask him anything because I rembered how he had reacted in the car, and it honestly scared . I didn’t want him to say sothing that would break deep inside. Being pregnant made overly emotional, so there was a good chance I would react with my heart instead of my head.
"Why have you tied up?" I asked again, tears stinging my eyes.
The mont he ca out from the darkness to face , I gasped. He didn’t even look like Kaye. His eyes were empty, no soul in them at all. They were completely black. That’s how I knew he was under a siren’s hypnotism spell. He didn’t answer , just turned around and left again. His body language was stiff.
After fifteen minutes, he returned with a food tray in his hand.
"Kaye, I know you’re under her spell. You can break through. I trust you. I believe in you," I pleaded, trying to push myself up. But I was tied in a way that forced to lie flat.
He kept his head down as he placed the food from the tray onto the small table. Two sofas stood in the other corner of the room where he set it up. Then he straightened his back and walked toward . I sank deeper into the bed, afraid of him.
He didn’t look in the eye but started to untie . The mont he freed my right hand, I tried to get up, rolling over to free my left. I didn’t notice him trying to stop , and that weirded out. My movent slowed, and I turned to look at him. He stood beside my bed in the sa spot as before, hands on his waist, staring at with black eyes.
I slowly lay back down again. I realized he didn’t care for . If I tried to run, he would use all his strength, and that was too much for , a pregnant woman with four babies, to fight against. He would drag back no matter what, and I was more afraid for my babies than myself. Besides, it’s not like I could kill him to escape. This was Kaye, my mate.
I watched him walk to the other side and start untying . His silence was killing . He grabbed my arm, and the way he yanked off the bed scared so much I placed my hand on his chest to stop my fall. But he instantly slapped my hand away, showing he wasn’t affected by my touch at all.
I looked up at him, my neck bent all the way back just to see his face, while he briskly walked to the sofa. He grabbed from the back and sat down. I waited for him to take the sofa across the table, and he did.
There were burritos in front of us, with salad and other food. He didn’t even glance at . He just sat, tore into his burrito, and ate like a monster.
"Kaye, I want to know what you’re going to do to ," I whispered, hoping he would finally respond. His silence was too heavy for soone who had been abducted and had no clue what to expect. If he was under a siren’s spell, she would make him do things that would harm until I was dead.
And he finally took a break from his food, raised his face enough to look at , and responded to my question.
"I must kill you to save Helanie," he said.
It felt like tiny insects crawled all over my body. I was stunned by his words. I placed a hand on my chest and leaned over the table.
"I am Helanie," I told him, patting my chest with my fingers. He smirked and shook his head.
"I knew you would say that. You think you can fool ," he hissed.
The hostility in his voice terrified , but even worse was knowing that if he believed I wasn’t Helanie, nothing would stop him from hurting .
"Kaye, I am your Helanie. Co on, please, you need to snap out of this hypnotism," I whispered, my eyes blurring with tears.
He scoffed even louder this ti.
"You’re not Helanie. You’re Kesha, the fucking siren," he muttered, his words making it clear he was ready to get out of the way. To him, I was the only hurdle keeping him from Helanie.
"Is that what she’s been feeding you? How could you believe it? How could you think I am Kesha and she is Helanie?" I asked, my voice shaky. It wasn’t just the pain of him believing her. A siren’s song numbs your brain, and it’s almost impossible to defeat. It wasn’t Kaye’s fault. But it hurt that she was playing such a cruel ga, making face Kaye’s hatred even when I wasn’t the one who deserved it.
"No, you are Kesha. Helanie never lies. She’s been through too much. If I don’t kill you, you’ll harm her even more, and that’s what I won’t allow. You’ve been in my head, trying to manipulate against her for so long. It’s over. I’m going to finish you. I’ll finish you in a way you never return, so everyone can finally be free of your toxicity," he growled.
His voice turned rough, grunts breaking through as the veins in his neck popped and his temples throbbed. I couldn’t even speak.
And then my eyes landed on the food. I saw him follow my gaze, the slight movent of his head giving it away. Kaye, who was never one for body language, was suddenly moving his head a lot.
"I’m not eating this," I said and he chuckled.
"Don’t you think I’ve poisoned your food?" The smirk on his face terrified .
