"Can I sleep with you?" Sasha Shaw’s whiny way of asking was quite adorable.

Ruby Sullivan opened her arms, "Of course."

Sasha imdiately jumped onto her bed, just like back in the college dorms. Back then, Ruby almost filled the entire small single bed by herself, and Sasha squeezed into the tiny gap between Ruby and the wall, unable to roll over, yet she always slept soundly.

Rembering those youthful days, she couldn’t help but pinch Ruby’s waist, which was once soft and fleshy, now had no extra fat, only firm muscles,

Ruby laughed, "Am I in good shape?"

Sasha smirked, deliberately tickling her, "Yeah, really good."

Surprised, Ruby laughed and retaliated, the two of them tangled in laughter, only stopping when they’d had enough.

Ruby hugged Sasha, "Don’t worry, it’s just marriage, you can always divorce."

Sasha froze, took a deep breath, "Hmm...Does my fear show that much?"

"In my eyes, a bit."

"Alright, I’m...afraid of holding him back."

"WTF?" Ruby rolled her eyes, "You’re the best, okay?"

Sasha seed to see herself then, comforting her, and she gladly accepted her friend’s reassurance, "That’s right, I think the sa way."

After the big show, there were still so market-related tasks. The two stayed in Nihona for a week to deal with the necessary work, stealing a day before returning ho to visit several of their favorite spots.

During this ti, Ethan Sterling happened to be on a business trip in Bellaza. When Ruby arrived ho at dawn, Honey was still awake and rushed to the door, hugging her and crying.

Ruby looked at her daughter, who was on the verge of tears, and was montarily puzzled, "What’s wrong?"

Honey blinked her big eyes, wiping tears with the back of her hand, "I just missed mom a bit." In fact, she missed her very much, missed mom, dad, and also her brother studying on the other side of the city.

Last night she was awoken by nightmares, unable to fall back asleep. She wanted to video call mom but held back, rembering her brother’s advice about mom and dad being tired from their business trip, opting to call her brother instead.

She’s trying hard to be strong, to be a sensible big girl for her parents, but she still can’t be as independent as her brother.

Ruby felt heartache seeing her daughter’s tears, changed clothes and did nothing else but went to soothe her daughter to sleep.

But Honey wasn’t sleepy at all, she had a lot she wanted to share with mom, like finding out who admired her skirt or criticized her shoes, what the teachers were teaching recently, and even reported her brother’s situation.

His team won second place in the robot battle, and that night Seth was so upset he couldn’t sleep, and Honey comforted him.

Ruby suddenly realized she had been so busy working and worrying about friends’ issues, neglecting the growth of her two children, sothing she feared most.

She frowned slightly, feeling worse as she listened, and combined with the tiring flight, although she tried to listen to her daughter finish, her eyelids grew heavy until she couldn’t keep them apart anymore.

"Janie has been angry with Patrick Thorne lately because she found out he gave the yogurt she gifted him, but I didn’t know it was from her," Honey was saying her most troubling issue these days when she realized mom had fallen asleep.

She suddenly rembered it was already late, mom had to be extrely tired but was still listening. She felt remorseful for not noticing earlier and pity for mom.

She gently woke mom, "Mom, I think you should shower and remove your makeup before sleeping." She rembered mom’s panic waking once after forgetting to remove makeup; she didn’t understand the importance but knew it was a big deal for mom.

Ruby slowly opened her eyes, still groggy, but first received a big hug from her daughter, "Mom, goodnight."

Ruby felt apologetic but was truly tired, "Goodnight."

The next day, she found a ssage from Ethan, who hadn’t called, fearing he’d disturb her rest.

She video chatted with Ethan for a while; he said he’d probably return in three days. Ruby didn’t say much about the children’s situation.

Actually, she’d discussed the issue with Ethan before, about ensuring at least one of them was ho, but it was hard to implent. Previously, she could ask Vivian for more attention,

but since Vivian and Third Uncle moved to Gallia, she could only rely more on Mama Bennett, which still felt different from family.

Ruby got up, stood by the window for a mont, then sat on the bay window, where Ethan often sat drinking. Seemingly, this way, she could understand Ethan’s thoughts on the matter.

She used to be very busy at The Lawson Group, but that hustle was about giving Honey a good life. Now, what’s all the busyness for? Fulfilling her dreams or showing her value?

Initially, it was just to have confidence when divorcing, or hoping her capabilities would allow the kids to live better lives.

If balancing this sense of dignity ant missing the children’s growth, is it really worth it?

She sat absentmindedly for a while, realizing she was just dazing, nothing crossing her mind.

In the living room, Seth, who returned early, was showing Honey the dance robot he’d made for her, though its appearance was more like a mini crane,

which seemingly didn’t match Honey’s aesthetic, yet both siblings were joyfully watching it spin around.

"Mom," Seth noticed her.

Honey had already rushed over to hug her leg, "Mom, my brother made a robot for ."

Ruby smiled, gently tousling her hair.

"Mama Bennett made vegetarian dumplings today, especially delicious, we saved so just for you."

Mama Bennett smiled, "They’re warming in the pot." She kept reheating them with a low fla, fearing they’d dry out and beco unappetizing.

"Ah, the feeling of being ho is wonderful," Ruby sighed, almost making up her mind.

Ethan was held up by things in Bellaza and didn’t return within the initially estimated ti. Ruby stopped working to help Sasha prepare for the wedding these days. Sean Quinn was too busy, operating theater to theater, said to be the hospital’s mainstay, with even limited wedding leave, let alone help prepare the wedding.

"He’d probably think I’m too demanding," Sasha rolled her eyes, dripping with sarcastic discontent, yet not wavering about marrying this man.

Nevertheless, she’d still had a spat with Sean.
