A week later, The Sinclair Group and The Sterling Group held a joint press conference to announce comprehensive cooperation. On the sa day, The Finn Group received a series of termination notices, as every company would rather pay the penalty than continue cooperating. The Finn Group was almost paralyzed in an instant.

Elder Finn personally went to the villa to visit Uncle Three. The butler said Uncle Three was too heartbroken over his daughter’s death to see guests. Nearly seventy, Elder Finn stood at the Sinclair Family door for over two hours and returned despondent.

That evening, Elder Finn entertained a rare guest in the living room.

Across the ocean in Novaniel, Ruby Sullivan compared the ingredients of two kinds of milk and then left the choice to Honey in the shopping cart. "Which do you think tastes better?"

Honey looked at the milk cartons, thought for a mont, and pointed to the one on Mom’s left. "I like this one because the little guy on it looks a bit like Dad." She smiled, revealing two round dimples.

Ruby Sullivan frowned at the cowboy picture on the milk carton, not seeing a hint of Ethan Sterling.

She didn’t continue the topic, simply said "Alright," and tossed the milk into the cart. Seeing it was about ti, she said, "Let’s go pick up your brother."

Honey nodded but didn’t want to miss the opportunity to ntion her dad. "Mom, when will Dad co to see ? When I video-called him this morning, he seed very tired."

"Dad’s been busy at work lately, probably after he’s done with everything." She casually grabbed a jar of jam. "You can ask him directly when you video-call him."

"Do you miss Dad, Mom?" Honey asked another question.

Ruby Sullivan looked at the little figure in the cart, "Why do you have so many questions?" She pretended to be fierce, going to bite Honey’s neck, making her giggle.

"Nina’s dad visits her every week, but I haven’t seen Dad for weeks." After laughing, Honey murmured a little forlornly.

Ruby Sullivan regretted letting her daughter choose milk. She didn’t expect a carton to invoke endless longing for Dad in her daughter, giving her a slight headache. She could only focus on pulling things out of the cart to prepare to pay, pretending she heard nothing.

When they arrived at the gym, Seth’s training wasn’t over yet. In the mix with a group of older children, Seth seed a bit small, but he had been growing rapidly lately, perhaps due to the exercise.

"Are you here to pick up a child too?" A blond-haired, blue-eyed man struck up a conversation with her.

Ruby Sullivan smiled, "Yes."

"Hello, I’m Ian."

"Wenny." Out of politeness, Ruby also gave her na.

Beside them, Honey was a bit displeased, her brow furrowing into little hills, glaring cautiously at the foreign man staring at her mom. Although this uncle was good-looking, she felt Dad would definitely not like him talking to Mom.

Ian couldn’t ignore Honey’s unfriendly gaze, "Is this your daughter? So cute!"

"Yes, her na is Candy." Ruby took the opportunity to introduce her daughter, "Honey, say hello to Uncle."

The usually well-behaved Honey clung to her mom’s leg and hid behind her.

Ian crouched down, extending his hand, "Hi, little beauty, I’m Ian. Nice to et you."

Honey blinked her big eyes, still silent, suddenly lunging to slap his hand before quickly retreating behind her mom.

Ian didn’t feel embarrassed and stood up with a smile, praising Honey’s cuteness again.

Ruby glanced at her daughter, sensing sothing odd about her behavior.

Before long, the training ended, and Seth walked over with a slightly taller white boy, who had the sa gorgeous blond hair as Ian, though his eyes were deep brown, and he had freckles across his nose. He looked very well-behaved.

When the two approached, Seth introduced his first friend made there to Mom, "His na is Jack; this is my mom."

"Hello, Wenny, this is my dad, Ian. He’s single now." Jack mischievously winked, then hugged his dad’s leg. "Dad, this is my good buddy, Daniel."

Ruby Sullivan awkwardly smiled and nodded, hearing Ian say with so embarrassnt, "My son is always worried I’ll end up alone."

Ruby raised her eyebrows, not comnting on the topic, yet felt a dawning realization about their friendship with Seth.

After they got in the car, Seth eagerly asked, "Mom, what do you think of Ian?"

"I think Jack’s a pretty nice kid. Maybe you can invite him over during the holidays."

"He’s two grades ahead of , but we have lunch together every day." Talking about his friend made Seth happy, "I’ve already asked the class teacher. If I can get all A’s by the end of the term, I can apply to skip a grade, so we can be classmates."

Ruby felt it was great his son was willing to work hard for a friend, so she smiled, encouraging him to keep it up.

At that mont, Honey let out a big "hmph," crossing her little arms and turning her head to look outside.

She didn’t like Ian, clearly vying with Dad for Mom. She already had Dad and didn’t need another handso uncle, no matter how handso! Yet her brother wanted to be friends with that little boy, didn’t he miss Dad?

She had to tell Dad and couldn’t wait to video call him as soon as she got ho!

The noise in the car was a bit loud, and with Seth talking, neither Ruby nor Seth heard the little princess’s grievances, making Honey feel even more dissatisfied being ignored.

After getting out of the car, Seth, as the little man, helped Mom carry things while Honey strode angrily into the house.

Mama Bennett saw her pouting as she ca in, quite puzzled, "Oh, what’s up with our Honey?"

"Nothing." Honey pouted, not wanting to tell her. She wanted to go straight to Dad.

Of course, Ruby knew her daughter was in a mood and more or less guessed her point of displeasure, but when asked during dinner, she said nothing. As a mom, Ruby felt a bit at a loss.

It seed her daughter was approaching her first wave of rebellion.

She thought about having a good talk with her daughter before sleep, but Honey specifically asked Mama Bennett to bathe and lull her to sleep tonight. What else could Ruby say?

Being a girl herself, she decided to go along with her daughter’s wishes, waiting until she was calm and willing to communicate.

After going to bed, Honey whispered to Mama Bennett, "Can I use your phone to video call Dad?"

Mama Bennett thought about the ti and reckoned Ethan Sterling wasn’t awake yet, saying a bit reluctantly, "A video call at this hour might disturb Dad’s sleep."

"But I have sothing very important to tell Dad." Honey furrowed her brows again, her little bun face full of seriousness.

Mama Bennett, thinking it might be related to her unhappiness, nodded in agreent. But once the video call was dialed, Honey quickly covered the phone and waved Mama Bennett away. "You leave the room first." What she had to say to Dad was a secret.
