Adrien watched the man as he battled against a beast which resembled a crab.

The crab launched at Fenrik but he knocked away the claw of the crab and twirling the bident, severed of the arms of the crab. It fell down breathing heavily and weak. Fenrik then beckoned to Adrien. He approached the beast and with all the strength he could master, drove the tal dagger through the eye of the beast.

[Rewards]

2 free stat points

1 skill "Shadow feast"

10 shadow energy

Adrien thought for a while while walking with Fenrik as they looked for the next target. He decided to place those stat points in agility. "I need to be fast if I want to escape in danger."

[ 2 Agility]

"Now I have to check the skill they gave ." Adrien said in his head as he opened the description of the skill.

[Shadow Feast Lv.1]

[Des: Drains a small portion of the target`s life force, healing the user slightly. It is a weak, consistent sustain ability which requires physical contact.]

"This skill sounds handy. It will help in a fight against opponents." Fenrik had already engaged in a battle with another crab and was almost done with it. Again Fenrik beckoned to Adrien. He went forward and placed his hand on the crab`s back. A small tendril of shadow leapt out of his fingertips and connected with the body of the crab.

Adrien was disappointed. He expected it to completely restore he health or add a significant potion to it. He grabbed his tal dagger and drove it into the beast head.

Adrien and Fenrik decided to call it a day and dragged the crab corpse back to where they lived. Fenrik started breaking off the edible parts of the beast while adrien kindled the fire. Soon the crab was roasting subtly on fire. Adrien decided to practice his shadow control. Fenrik watched as a dark shadow rose slowly out of adrien`s shadow. Beads of sweat ford on adrien`s brow as he summoned all his focus and energy to raise the shadow of the floor. It rose up to his shoulder level when he lost control and the shadow sank into the ground once more.

[-10 Shadow Energy]

Adrien slumped onto the cave floor out of breath. Fenrik stared in wonder at the boy in front of him. The crab al on fire started to levitate and move towards Fenrik. With one simple swing of his bident, it divided the al into two parts. He hands one to adrien and eats his own in silence.
