Chronicles of The God Slayer of Shadows Chapter 20 - Twenty

Adrien found himself on tiled path leading to a massive castle. "Where am i?" He wondered as he entered the castle. He suddenly felt a pull frrom his shadow trying to lead him. He decided to follow the shadow and started walking towards the large obsidian gates. Adrien was lead through many corridors and rooms till he arrived at a large hall.

Decorated ornantaly, weapons and shields hung on the walls and banners of crimson material showcased a picture of a scythe. A terrifying presence appeared at the end of the hall, on a throne of bones. A figure covered with glowing runes of red and purple emanated the scent of death and shadow.

Adrien was lifted of his feet and dragged towards the figure. He tried to resist but what dragged him was impossible to break out off. Soon, he was face to face with the figure. It's golden eyes stared straight into adrien deeply. It raised it's shadowy hand and tapped onto Adrien's head lightly. He suddenly felt a connection to the figure who was on the throne.

Adrien imdiately woke up in the hands of Fenrik who wore a worried expression. Galvir stood beside him in similar worry. Nyarixis also was awake and held a fierce look in his eyes. "You saw it too." Nyarixis nodded solemnly.

Adrien then noticed freya who stood so distance away from them in fear as if sothing had happened. "What happened?" Adrien questioned fenrik. "We will talk about it in the morning. Adrien nodded slowly and fell asleep.

He woke up later in the morning to a bunch of system ssages he ignored the night before.

Adrien then rembered what had occured last night in his dream. "So that being was a 'celestial'." Adrien pondered as he stepped out. "Yes, but much weaker." A voice spoke in his mind. "Nyarixis?" Adrien called out. A young wolf the height of Adrien's knee appeared out of his shadow. "You know what a 'celestial' is?"

" I'll tell you what I know later." Your companion is awaiting you by the campfire." He said as he lead adrien to a bunch of smoldering logs where Fenrik was sitting alone.
