Finally, on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, Li Xianglu finished her confinent period. However, everyone in the family felt that she needed to fully recover from the cesarean section, and Su Yan proposed that she extend her confinent period to two months, although she no longer needed to wear a hat or be confined to her room like during the first month.

After being discharged from the hospital, Li Xianglu had her stitches removed and had not taken a bath since then. When she felt particularly sticky, she would wipe herself down with a dry towel.

Even after the confinent period, she couldn’t take a full bath, because the incision was still red and couldn’t be exposed to water.

Qin Xi simply placed an electric heater that was taken out from the Storage Ring in the bathroom, which already had heating. This made the room warr, and she washed her hair, then wiped her body with a wet towel.

Li Xianglu’s lochia was completely discharged a few days earlier, fortunately, there was no longer any unusual sll on her body. She was initially worried, but thankfully Mr. Li knew an experienced traditional Chinese dicine practitioner who prescribed two dietary therapy recipes, which didn’t affect breastfeeding and helped to discharge the lochia.

After washing her hair, Qin Xi used a hairdryer to dry Li Xianglu’s hair. Having short hair was convenient; it dried quickly. She put on a coral fleece pajamas and glanced at the two children sleeping soundly in the crib. Li Xianglu took out a cara from the Storage Ring, fixated it on a tripod, set it to automatic, and started taking photos with the children.

Qin Xi also went to take a shower, and when she ca out wearing a bathrobe, she saw Li Xianglu using a digital cara to take photos of the children. Squinting her eyes, she looked at Li Xianglu’s bare fingers. Since getting pregnant, she had removed her wedding ring and wore no jewelry.

Li Xianglu, upon seeing Qin Xi co over, quickly called out, "Co here, let’s take a family photo."

Qin Xi smiled and approached, adjusted the cara stand a bit, then also picked up one of the children. Both children slept soundly, undisturbed by their playful parents.

The cara took many photos, and Li Xianglu was quite pleased with them. After putting the children back to sleep, she snuggled into the bed.

It was clean, with no sll of milk or children’s urine, which was wonderful. She nestled into Qin Xi’s arms and exclaid, "Finally out of confinent."

Qin Xi also felt deeply emotional. Yes, finally out of confinent. During this month, he had gained seven jin, Li Jianqing had gained five jin, but Xu Wu, that fellow, hadn’t gained at all, only his complexion had beco rosier.

Qin Xi held Li Xianglu’s hand, gently lifting it up to the light and looking at it from all angles.

Li Xianglu widened her eyes, "What are you doing?"

Qin Xi looked at Li Xianglu and thought for a mont before saying, "The day you gave birth, the situation was critical, and then, I saw a ring on your finger, kind of visible yet invisible."

Li Xianglu blinked, looked down at her fingers and ntally called out. Then she saw a flash of silver light on the ring finger of her left hand, and a silver ring with hand-etched patterns appeared.

Qin Xi was also shocked. After a mont, he reached out and took Li Xianglu’s hand under the light to look closer, trying to touch the ring. However, the ring seed to be made of light, intangible, touching it felt just like touching Li Xianglu’s smooth skin.

Li Xianglu raised an eyebrow, "Is this the ring?"

Qin Xi nodded, "Yes." He couldn’t help but ask, "Where did this ring co from?"

Li Xianglu blinked, where did it co from? How should she explain, should she say it was from him?

Seeing that Li Xianglu didn’t speak, Qin Xi pondered for a while then said, "This ring looks very much like one my mother left , but I lost it when I was sixteen."

Lost?

Li Xianglu frowned; this ring was clearly brought with her from her previous life, so how could it be the one Qin Xi lost in this life?

Li Xianglu didn’t know exactly where things had gone wrong, as the couple had never really discussed this issue. All she said was, "This ring wasn’t sothing I picked up. It was given to by soone."

This ti, it was Qin Xi’s turn to be shocked. Soone had given Li Xianglu the ring? How could that be?

Seeing Qin Xi’s confusion, Li Xianglu carefully chose her words and said, "You gave it to ."

Now, rather than understanding, Qin Xi beca even more confused.

Li Xianglu didn’t know how to explain further and just quietly watched Qin Xi, who was frowning in thought.

After more than ten minutes, Li Xianglu couldn’t help but yawn and moved closer to Qin Xi, laying on him just as Ba’er slept on Qin Xi’s chest. She then softly whispered in his ear, "Who was the last person you gave the ring to?"

Qin Xi’s eyes lit up sharply, his breathing suddenly quickened. He abruptly lifted Li Xianglu, who had been playing on his chest, and leaned back on the bed, positioning her so that her face was towards his.

Qin Xi ticulously examined Li Xianglu for a while, then slowly shook his head and said, "You two don’t look alike."

Li Xianglu knew Qin Xi had rembered, and the corners of her mouth slightly lifted as she said, "Of course we don’t look alike. We’re two different people."

Qin Xi nodded. Their appearances were not similar, but the core of who they were remained the sa.

Qin Xi suddenly felt a strange emotion, complex and peculiar, as if he had spent a thousand years just to sleep alongside her or as if he had crossed millions of years to find her.

Li Xianglu, with a teasing smile, said, "The ring has always been yours; you just didn’t know."

Qin Xi also rembered so details, the pocket watch, so he reached under the pillow, took it out, opened it, and handed it to the person beside him.

Li Xianglu had actually played with the pocket watch many tis, and had already confird it was the sa one Qin Xi gave her before he died in her past life. However, she didn’t know the secret of the watch.

Li Xianglu examined the watch again, and helplessly placed it back into Qin Xi’s hands, "What is the secret with it!"

Qin Xi’s eyes widened. A secret, yes, this pocket watch did hold a secret. He had collected a lot of criminal information regarding his uncle and Qin Miao, but unexpectedly, he was designed to rescue people trapped on an island.

Right when he felt he couldn’t return, he handed the pocket watch to a girl who was with him on the sa raft.

Indeed, he truly died, but he didn’t know what happened after his death.

Thinking of this, Qin Xi abruptly looked up at Li Xianglu, who was watching him, and hesitantly asked, "How did you co to be here?"

Li Xianglu was startled; she hadn’t expected Qin Xi to ask this question.

Actually, she couldn’t rember how she ca to be here herself. She always dreamt that she had been shot and fell off a cliff, or she was escaping, or in the water. She could recall bits and pieces of events, but she couldn’t confirm exactly how she got here.

So Li Xianglu shook her head, "I don’t rember."

What? Qin Xi couldn’t believe it—she didn’t rember how she suddenly ended up in this place?

Just as they were about to continue speaking, a loud cry echoed; it was Ba’er, the little one.
