Trinity

The ozone was thickening. The crackle of the electricity flashed through the sky as lightning forked sowhere above . There was every indication that it was about to start storming. Aside from the darkness of the clouds and the scent of the rain. It was just the static charged ozone, the lightning, and the thunder that rumbled.

Still, I didn’t dare to look up at the sky. I didn’t want to take my eyes off of Orson for fear that he would be angered at the movent. He might take my looking up at the sky as not taking him seriously enough. He might give the order to start firing if he so much as thought that I was disrespecting him again. And I couldn’t let that happen. Not until I was sure that I could handle the situation.

"What is that?" I heard one of the humans behind call out. They had apparently been looking at the sky, but it still wasn’t enough to make look away from Orson.

"There’s sothing coming." The man that had been part of the anti supers group called out. "What is that thing?"

"Who is that?" What sounded like a teenage boy asked in amazent.

"Who? What do you an who?" Soone asked in the distance.

"Well just look, it’s clearly a person. Soone is falling down here." He answered them.

"Falling? If they fall from that height, they will be splattered on the sidewalk. Did they fall out of a plane?"

"There was no plane. This is sothing else. Soone is coming here, and they are flying through the sky to do it."

"How though? What are they? Who are they?"

"I don’t know."

There were so many voices among the humans that were talking behind , and I was listening to each and every one of them, but I still wouldn’t look up at what they were seeing. I didn’t want to let Orson have the chance to hurt anyone here on the ground. I had to protect everyone. I just had to.

"Here they co!" Soone nearly scread. "They’re going to hit the ground."

"THEY’RE HUGE!"

"What are they!?" I was so tempted to look up, but I held firm.

"Trinity?" Reece called out to , obviously looking at the person or thing that the people were talking about.

"What, Reece?" I asked him, not looking at him at all.

"You should look." I saw from my peripheral vision that he was watching the thing that was falling to the ground. I had just enough ti to look up at the thing that people were talking about before it landed in front of .

It hadn’t crash landed, that wasn’t the word for it. And it wasn’t a thing, it was a man. A very large man at that. And he was familiar to as well.

The man had landed on the ground in what can only be called a superhero landing. That is, it was a three point landing where they had one foot, a knee, and a fist that all hit the ground at the sa ti as they landed in a crouching position. I had seen it in the movies several tis over the years.

"Wow!"

"Whoa! That was aweso!"

"What the hell!" More people were calling out behind as they looked at this larger than life man that had just appeared. I was just wondering why he was here. And how his presence was going to affect the humans.

"Odin?" I said the na without thinking.

"HAH!" Odin seed excited when he rose to his feet. He was standing at no less than twelve feet tall, broad shoulders and massive hands showing just how powerful he was. I also saw that he was hiding most of his true form, that was good. He didn’t need it to ss with people’s heads.

"Did you see that, Trinity? I can’t believe that I actually did it. I have seen this landing in the mortal movies. The ones with those super beings. They call them superheroes. I love those movies and co to the mortal realm to see them all the ti.

I especially love the ones from back in the beginning of this century. The ones that had that Hemsworth fella in them, those were so of my favorites. Those made particularly happy because they had to do with my own mythology. Not that I am a myth, mind you. And I was even in so of those movies. Not personally, that would be almost impossible, but there was a man playing .

I didn’t like how old they made in those movies, but I was definitely flattered to be included in the story. They were wonderful movies."

"Odin?" I called out to him again. He seed to be a little too excited at the mont.

"Did she say Odin?" I heard soone behind .

"As in the God, Odin?" Soone else asked in response.

"Oh shit!"

"Yes, it is I!" Odin rose to his full height. "I am Odin, King of the Gods. I have co to help and save the day."

"Y..y..you’re really a God?" One of the n from the anti group eyed Odin with wide, marveling eyes.

"I am indeed. You know that she is a Goddess as well. And that man there, her husband and mate, is a God. Several among them have accepted the souls of my brethren into them. They had all ascended and are now Gods. However, even though Trinity Gray is a Goddess, and many among her have ascended, I am the King of the Gods, and therefore she is my loyal subject."

"K..K..King of the Gods?" The man asked him in a confused tone. "Aren’t you just King of the Aesir Norse Gods?"

"I started out just the King of my clan, but millennia ago I was made King of all the Gods. I was chosen above Zeus and all the others. That was fine with , I was already used to being a King."

"All the Gods?" A Hindu man among the supporters called out to him.

"Oh yes, all of the Gods. I know all of the Hindu Gods. The Islamic God. Even your God." He stopped and pointed at a man on the anti side of the group. "You’re a Catholic, I can feel the presence of your God inside of you. I know him too.

I know all the Gods, and they are all a part of my kingdom. So have chosen to be reborn after endless millennia, but there are still so that are there with ."

"This is so surreal." The Catholic man shook his head. "You know God?"

"He is a God, one of many. His na is not to be known by you at this ti though. He truly just wishes to go by his title. Now, onto why I am here."

"Yes, I think that we all need to know why you are here." I looked up at Odin, my hands naturally finding their position on my hips as my annoyance started to beco clear. He had said that he was here to help, and all he had been doing was talking. Then again, he had managed to distract Orson for the ti being.

"Yes, yes, no need to be upset with , Trinity. I am showing my true self to these humans, or at least part of it. The excitent is understandable."

"It would be, if you weren’t the most excited one here." I wanted to laugh, but I didn’t dare.

"Ha ha ha. You got ." He turned back to look at and then at Orson on his other side. "You, Sir, are the reason that I am here."

"?" Orson scoffed at him. "You, false deity, that thinks you can sway the people of earth, you think that I am the reason that you are here?"

"Ooh, you are quite infuriating." Odin glared at him. "I wonder how a human of your kind ends up this way. I know that you all still have that war and fighting urge inside of you, even in a ti when you no longer need to fight for domain and food. You are modernized, but your brutality remains."

"We are not the brutes here!" Orson scread at Odin. "They are. Those monsters that have infested our planet. They are the brutes. They want to destroy us all. They want to murder all the humans in the world."

"Bullshit!" Odin told him in a flat voice. "You have no idea what it is that you are talking about. Do you know how stupid you sound right now? How stupid you look?"

Odin wasn’t sugar coating things with Orson at the mont. He was telling him what it was that he thought with no uncertain terms. I just hoped that this wouldn’t send the maniac over the edge.

As I looked around the area, at the gathered humans and nonhumans alike, I saw that most people, even those on Orson’s side of the whole thing, were in awe of Odin. I didn’t bla them. They were literally looking at a God. And I wasn’t human, nor mortal. I might not be seeing him in the sa way that they were. I could be less affected by them because of my own Goddess status.

It almost certainly felt that way as I looked at them all. These humans all seed to be starstruck or sothing like that as they watched the man that was reprimanding Orson. I just hoped that whatever it was that Odin had in mind here, he was successful. I didn’t want the humans hard, and I didn’t want this to turn into a full scale battle.

There would be too many casualties and too much destruction.

’Co on, Odin.’ I encouraged him inside of my mind. ’You can help out here, I know that you can. You promised after all. You said that you were going to help Reece and I deal with this situation. Wasn’t that why you had called us to that celestial plane that night? Well, here is your chance.

You could help stop Orson. You can help put things right in the world again.’

While I thought about these things, I wondered how the world at large was reacting to seeing a God on the news. One that actually looked like a God anyway, since they had already seen several tis before. I wondered if him being here would actually help in the long run, or if we were just going to have another issue to face once it was all done and over with.

I was getting so tired of all of this. All the fighting. All the animosity. All the hatred in the world. I wanted to have a life that was peaceful for and my family. That was all that I ever truly wanted.

More than anything else in life, I wanted to make sure that my family was safe and well cared for.

If we could take care of this situation, and if there were no new issues that ca from it all, we might see peace with the humans for the first ti in super natural history. We might be able to see a world where no one had to hide who they were. A world where there was acceptance all around.

And think about it even further than that. If the nonhumans could be accepted, what would that an for the racial issues still plaguing the world, especially our own country? Acceptance of this kind could lead to so much more in the future.

’Co on, Odin.’ I encouraged him ntally again. I needed him to succeed. I needed him to help here, so that the peace that I and so many other people have dreamt of would co to fruition. ’Co on and help here, Odin, please.’ I was begging him ntally, and it was as if no ti at all was passing in the real world. And yet, there was Odin, looking at with knowing eyes. He had heard .

It had been a prayer that he had heard, and he had agreed to help . At least, I think that he had.
