"Absolutely." The maid nodded assuredly. "There’s surveillance outside. If His Highness Chenchen doesn’t believe , you can check."
"No need."
Chenchen had already read from her expression that she wasn’t lying.
So that ans...
The Queen really did suddenly disappear from the royal bedchamber.
And her phone was left on the carpet.
Her slippers too...
Chenchen’s expression suddenly darkened, as if he realized sothing, his voice carrying a coldness, "The Queen was kidnapped."
"Huh?" Chongchong was taken aback, looking at him in confusion, "How do you know?"
How co she didn’t notice that the Queen was kidnapped?
Chenchen glanced at her and asked, "Would you usually throw your phone on the ground?"
"Of course not." Chongchong shook her head, thinking who in their right mind would throw their beloved phone on the ground.
Chenchen continued, "The Queen always had a cleanliness obsession. She wouldn’t randomly put down sothing as personal as her phone, let alone leave it on the ground."
"What if the Queen accidentally knocked it off?" Chongchong couldn’t help but ask.
"Then why didn’t she imdiately pick it up?" Chenchen retorted.
"That’s right..." Chongchong realized.
"So I speculate that the Queen must have been threatened. She probably wanted to call for help, but before she could even make a call, her phone was knocked away." Chenchen’s voice grew even colder.
Who on earth would have the audacity to infiltrate the royal bedchamber and abduct soone?
"But just from the phone, you can’t conclude that the Queen was kidnapped, can you?" Chongchong still harbored so doubts.
What if the Queen just accidentally dropped her phone?
"And the shoes, she didn’t even wear her shoes." Chenchen’s gaze fell on the Queen’s slippers.
Sothing must have happened at that mont, so she didn’t even have ti to put on her shoes before being taken away.
Chongchong rubbed her chin, "Maybe she wore other shoes?"
At this mont, the maid had already opened the Queen’s shoe cabinet and shook her head, "No, not a single pair is missing from Her Highness the Queen’s shoe cabinet."
Chongchong’s heart skipped a beat, "Then what are we waiting for, quickly send people to search everywhere!"
"I’ll go right now." The maid was just about to run out but was stopped by Chenchen.
"Bring them to the Queen’s bedchamber."
"???"
Upon hearing this, Chongchong and the maid looked at him, puzzled.
If the person isn’t in the bedchamber, why search there?
While they were wondering, Chenchen had already turned the bedside lamp on the wall.
Imdiately, the entire wall started moving, shifting upwards.
A passage appeared before everyone.
"A secret passage?"
Chongchong’s eyes widened in surprise. She thought these were things only in ancient tis, she didn’t expect soone to have this in their ho now.
Chenchen said, "I’ll go in to find her. You go inform the Guard Commander. As for you, Chongchong, you stay here obediently."
No one knew what was inside, but it was definitely dangerous, so he couldn’t let her go with him.
"Alright..."
Chongchong knew he was worried about her, so she didn’t make it difficult for him and imdiately nodded.
"I’m going."
Chenchen pulled out a pistol, chambered a round, and entered the passage.
"Be careful!" Chongchong’s eyes were filled with concern.
Not long after, the maid brought the Guard Commander.
"Miss Chongchong."
Seeing her, the Guard Commander nodded respectfully.
Chongchong imdiately directed them, fearing that Chenchen wouldn’t be able to handle the adversary inside, "Hurry inside, Brother Chenchen hasn’t gone far."
