Chongchong looked at him.

The young boy, still a bit naive, was currently half-squatting, his long fingers threading through the red ropes.

The gentle afternoon sunlight cascaded over his back, tinting his blue and white school uniform with a soft golden hue.

The boy’s handso features appeared increasingly gentle under the halo of light. His black hair casually draped over his forehead, a prominent nose, distinct contours, and softly pursed lips.

He looked incredibly appealing.

Chongchong couldn’t help but hold her breath.

Everything seed to stop at this mont, the whole world fell into silence, and her eyes saw only him.

"Hey!"

This was already the Nth ti Chenchen waved his hand in front of her.

"Uh uh..."

Chongchong snapped back to reality.

"What were you thinking about so intently?" Chenchen reminded her, "Don’t you know the parent-child activity is about to start?"

"Now I... I know." Chongchong quickly replied.

"Are you ready then?" Chenchen asked again.

"Always ready!"

Chongchong patted her chest and said.

"Hmm." Chenchen smiled slightly.

With a gunshot, the parents and children lined up on the track imdiately started moving.

"Go for it!"

"Go for it!"

"Go for it!"

The field was filled with cheering voices.

Chenchen and Chongchong also started moving.

Since it was the first ti they played this ga, they had no experience, so they stumbled as if they might fall at any mont.

Of course, most of the groups present were just like them.

"Chenchen! Chongchong! Go for it!"

ngng waved a twig she picked up from who knows where and shouted.

Chenchen: "..." What is up with that twig?

Chongchong: "..." Sa question.

Chenchen took a deep breath and looked at the little girl beside him, "Actually, this ga is very simple, listen closely to what I’m about to say. In a mont, we move the foot tied together first, then the other foot, then the foot tied together again, followed by the other foot, understand this sequence?"

"Got it." Chongchong nodded.

Chenchen gave her another glance, "Let’s start over then."

"Step out with the foot tied together first." Afraid she’d forget, Chenchen reminded her while moving.

"Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten."

Chongchong said in her cute voice and stepped out with her right foot.

Chenchen then stepped out with his left foot.

At first, they struggled to sync, but soon they mastered the technique and accelerated quickly.

In the end, they beca the first pair to reach the finish line.

As for the others...

Chongchong glanced back; most were either still on their way or had fallen to the ground.

Chongchong couldn’t help but giggle.

Chenchen poked her and handed her a few notebooks and a pen, "This is the prize for first place."

"This was won by my husband and together. We should split it evenly." Chongchong didn’t take it all but shared half with Chenchen.

Chenchen huffed proudly, "At least you still have a bit of conscience."

"Hehe." Chongchong giggled foolishly.

"Stop laughing, go find your parents quickly, the second parent-child activity is about to start." Chenchen reminded without curiosity.

"Oh no! I would have forgotten if you hadn’t said sothing!"

Chongchong quickly ran toward Gu Zhihan and ngng.

The second activity was solving riddles.
