"Let’s put this matter behind us, and no one should bring it up again," Gu Zhihan chid in.

Both Mrs. Gu and Mrs. Luo nodded, "Yes, let’s put it behind us."

Seeing that the two had finally let go, Luo ngng breathed a sigh of relief, smiling and saying to them, "I’ll go tidy up the guest room for you."

"Don’t busy yourself, you’ve worked all day, so just go take a shower and sleep. We have servants to clean up the room," Mrs. Gu hastened to stop her.

Unable to turn down such heartfelt persistence, Luo ngng could only nod her head, "Alright then, good night, both moms."

"Good night." Both of them replied in unison, about to pick up Dabao and Erbao.

"Babies, let’s go sleep," they cooed.

As they spoke, Mrs. Gu and Mrs. Luo each picked up one child, but just as they were heading to the guest room, suddenly both little ones started crying loudly with "wah wah wah".

"What’s happening?" The two moms instantly beca flustered and tried to soothe the infants in their arms.

But not only did the little ones not stop crying, they actually cried even harder, loud enough that even Luo ngng, who had entered the room, heard them.

"I’ll go check on the children," Luo ngng said as she pushed Gu Zhihan, who was pressing down on her, away.

Gu Zhihan’s face turned as dark as the bottom of a pot instantly.

Are the kids really doing this to him!

It was like at ripped right from his mouth, forced to spit it out reluctantly.

Once Luo ngng stepped out of the bedroom, she saw both moms sweating profusely while trying to calm the children in the living room.

The maids and nannies joined in the efforts to soothe them, but to no avail, the children kept on crying nonstop.

"Could they be sick?" Mrs. Gu, seeing how terribly they were crying, imdiately wondered.

"Should we call a doctor to have a look?" Mrs. Luo also began to worry that the children might be sick.

After saying this, she commanded the maid, "Go! Hurry! Call the family doctor over!"

"Right away!" the servant hurried to leave.

"Are they sick?" Luo ngng, upon hearing this, imdiately ca over, took Erbao from Mrs. Gu’s arms into her own, and cooed at him with a gentle gaze, "Sweetie, no more crying, okay..."

Strangely enough, the child who had been crying nonstop in Mrs. Gu’s arms beca suddenly silent as soon as he was in Luo ngng’s arms.

While Erbao stopped crying, Dabao was still crying hard, and the volu of his cries kept increasing.

Mrs. Luo, holding him, seed to have thought of sothing and imdiately pushed Dabao into Luo ngng’s arms, saying as she did so, "Could the children be missing their mom?"

Her guess was quickly confird when Dabao also beca quiet in Luo ngng’s arms, turning from tears to smiles in an instant.

If it hadn’t been for the tear stains on his little face and his red eyes, you would never have known he had just been crying hard.

"Ah! So they really did miss their mom!" Both Mrs. Luo and Mrs. Gu breathed a sigh of relief.

The maid who was about to fetch the doctor was frozen in place, asking, "Do I still need to go for the doctor?"

"There’s no need, Dabao and Erbao are fine," Luo ngng smiled at her then carried the babies into the bedroom.

"Wife!"

As soon as Luo ngng entered the bedroom, she was imdiately wrapped in the long, fervent embrace from behind.

"What is it?" Luo ngng, while playing with the babies, answered his question nonchalantly.

Gu Zhihan only then noticed that Dabao and Erbao were also in her arms. "How did the children end up here?"

As he spoke, his face suddenly darkened again.
