Dr. Carl couldn’t help but laugh softly and suddenly said with a hint of mischief, "Tom, take a look at the child in front of you."
The Tom he referred to was the man who had been pitching himself to ngng just a second ago.
"What’s wrong with the child?" Tom looked at him, puzzled, then at the child, still not grasping his point.
While he was confused, he heard Dr. Carl say lightly, "The girl in front of you happens to be his mother."
"What?" Tom was instantly stunned, looking up and down at Luo ngng in disbelief, "Oh my, you’ve got a kid? But you clearly look like a minor?"
If Dr. Carl wasn’t known for always telling the truth, he would have certainly thought he was being deceived.
"I’ve not been a minor for a long ti, I’m already in my twenties... and have been married for years." Luo ngng revealed a smile that was both embarrassed and polite.
Tom’s heart shattered in an instant, "OMG! I finally et a beautiful girl, and she’s already been taken by soone else."
Luo ngng felt awkward.
"Don’t mind him, he’s just a typical bootlicker, can’t resist flirting with a pretty girl when he sees one," said the girl who was the first to notice ngng’s presence, coming forward with a smile that was infectious and extrely likable.
Luo ngng couldn’t help but be amused by her words.
The girl then took her hand, "Co with , from now on you can sit in this seat next to ."
She directly led ngng to the seat next to hers.
"Thank you," Luo ngng said as she sat down.
The girl shook her head, "Don’t ntion it."
As soon as the words fell, Dr. Carl called her over, "Lirui, co take a look at this culture dish."
"Okay," Lirui nodded, then gave ngng a look, "I’m going to assist the doctor with the new drug research, get comfortable here, and we’ll chat later."
"Is the new drug coming out?" Luo ngng heard these words and was instantly thrilled.

After quietly celebrating for a while, Luo ngng picked up a book from the table to charge up her knowledge.
She too wished to research new drugs!

It was packed with English text.
And her English was at most good enough for daily use, but for these highly specialized books, she couldn’t read them at all.
Yet, her purpose for being here was to contribute to the research on this disease, so she refused to give up easily.
And so, ngng started reading the book, flipping through a dictionary along the way.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to ask others for help, but everyone here had their own tasks, and she couldn’t always be bothering them.
After a day of reading, by the ti Luo ngng left the research institute, she was utterly exhausted.
