In the coziness of the blankets, ngng opened her sleepy eyes and nodded instinctively, "Sure, I couldn’t ask for anything better!"
Gu Zhihan laughed, stroked her head, and continued, "Then you sleep a bit more, it’s still early for the exam. I’m going to make breakfast for you."
"Mmm!" ngng snuggled deeper into the blankets as she responded.
Gu Zhihan got straight out of bed, stuffed his feet into gray slippers, casually pulled on a coat, and headed downstairs.
Once in the kitchen, he began cooking with practiced ease, and anyone with eyes could tell he was used to this sort of thing.
Before long, the sll of food wafted through the air.
Gu Zhihan untied the cotton and linen apron he had been wearing, went upstairs, and pushed open the bedroom door, "Get up and eat, silly girl."
"You’re the silly one!" ngng erged from the blankets grumpily, "I’m going to take an exam today, can you please stop calling silly? What if you jinx ?"
"So I should go ’ptui, ptui, ptui’, would that be better?" Gu Zhihan was at a loss, not expecting her to take a casual comnt seriously, and now he couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the sa ti.
ngng wrinkled her nose and huffed, "That’s more like it."
Then she began giving orders, "Go get my cotton jacket, the dusty pink one."
"Alright." Gu Zhihan was more than happy to be bossed around, imdiately turning to the wardrobe, found the jacket she ntioned, and handed it to her, "Here."
"You have to help put it on!"
ngng pat the bed, playfully sticking to her child-like whims.
"Don’t you have hands?" Gu Zhihan gave her a look but ultimately still went over to help her get dressed.
After the jacket was on, ngng bounced downstairs.
Seeing all her favorite snacks on the table, she beca excited instantly and quickly picked up a knife and fork, "This looks so yummy!"
"Eat slowly."
Gu Zhihan shook his head as he watched the little girl practically bring her face to the plate.
After breakfast, Gu Zhihan personally drove her to the examination site.
"I’m off then!" As soon as the car stopped, ngng prepared to get out and leave.
"Hold on a second." Gu Zhihan pulled her back.
"Is there sothing else?" ngng turned back, blinking her clear, black-and-white eyes at him, puzzled.
Gu Zhihan nodded, "Yes, there is."
"Then hurry up and tell ," ngng urged.
"Good luck, don’t be nervous," Gu Zhihan said in a deep voice and kissed her forehead.
The warmth of his lips was slightly hot.
ngng paused before realization hit her, "Is that what you wanted to tell ?"
"What else did you think it was?" Gu Zhihan stepped back from her forehead, asking with an amused smile.
A sudden warmth blossod in ngng’s heart, as if the sumr sun had shone directly into it.
She reached out to hug him, rubbing her head against his chest, "Gu Zhihan, you’re so good."
"Alright, hurry to your exam," Gu Zhihan gently pushed her away.
If she didn’t leave now, she really would be late.
"Okay!"
ngng nodded with a smile and then finally got out of the car.
Gu Zhihan watched her run into the examination hall.
ngng’s exam was on the third floor, and she ran up all the way.
The examination consisted of two parts, the first being a test and the second, practical operations.
By the ti everything was done, it was already past one in the afternoon.
ngng let out a sigh of relief and walked out of the examination hall.
She hadn’t gone far when she ran into Cheng Suisui.
"ngng, let’s go together," Cheng Suisui took her hand.
