Chapter 424: Chapter 424: Have You Seen the Light?

“Doctor.” Viscount Li lifted his eyelids to glance at her. Although he didn’t know why she was asking, he still answered truthfully.

“Ah!?” Tong Mo couldn’t help exclaiming in disbelief, staring at him, “If you’re a doctor, why would you even do that kind of job?”

Good heavens.

She’d thought that Uncle Duck had at most a high school or college degree, but who would have thought he was actually a doctor?

What a waste for a doctor to earn money with his body!

Tong Mo simply couldn’t understand what he was thinking.

Viscount Li glanced at her oddly, “My family has been doing this job for generations, I couldn’t avoid taking it over.”

Well, that finally made sense to Tong Mo.

His family wasn’t just him being a duck; the whole family was…

“With so many decent jobs out there, why choose this…” Tong Mo couldn’t help but sigh deeply.

The morality of society is declining, truly declining!

Seeing her mumbling to herself, Viscount Li couldn’t help but stare at her suspiciously, “What are you saying?”

“Nothing, nothing.” Tong Mo quickly waved her hands.

She feared that if she said it out loud, it might hurt his pride, and then she might end up strangled to death.

“Oh.”

Although she said that, Viscount Li still felt sothing was not quite right.

Especially since every ti she looked at him, there seed to be a hint of… pity in her eyes.

Pity!?

Viscount Li felt more bewildered than ever.

He was born a privileged child of heaven, why would he need her pity?

Viscount Li couldn’t help shaking his head, thinking the girl must have gone stupid from writing too many extra questions earlier.

He completely forgot that he had not yet told her his true identity.

In the blink of an eye, it was ti for the weekly test.

This ti, Tong Mo unexpectedly ranked thirty-fifth in her class. All her scores were dozens of points higher than before, no single digits anymore.

The mont the results were handed out, everyone in the class was shocked.

Luo ngng was shocked too, unable to help but joyfully ask her, “Chun Mo, have you had an epiphany?”

Tong Mo thought about it, but decided not to tell her about Uncle Duck, lest she start worrying about her again, so she simply nodded, going along with her words, “Sort of…”

“That’s fantastic!”

Luo ngng imdiately showed a big, genuine smile, truly happy for her.

Although the timing of the epiphany seed a bit late…

But that didn’t matter, as long as she had it now.

After finishing the conversation with Luo ngng, Tong Mo turned her eyes back to her test paper, staring at it excitedly and joyfully.

Who knew that Uncle Duck would be so capable; he actually managed to boost her rankings by fifteen places in class!

Just then, the horoom teacher walked in, scanned the students below, and spoke with a stern face, “I assu everyone has received their test papers by now. Tong Mo, stand up, did you score in the single digits again?”

“What did I say last ti? If you score single digits again, then you’ll…” be removed from the class.

“Teacher!” Before she could finish, Tong Mo couldn’t help interrupting loudly, “I didn’t score in the single digits this ti!”

“No?” The disbelief in the horoom teacher’s eyes was glaring as she walked right up to her, “Not in a single subject?”

“Not! One!” Seeing that she still doubted her integrity, Tong Mo couldn’t help emphasizing.

The horoom teacher, still skeptical, flipped through all the test papers in her hands.
