Chapter 41: Chapter 41: You Idiot
All the students she scanned quivered nervously, swallowing their saliva, fearing that they were the ones she was talking about.
After looking around, the horoom teacher finally revealed the mystery, “This student is… Luo ngng!”
Her voice sharply rose as she pronounced the last three words, her large hand ceaselessly slapping the podium in front of her, spittle flying everywhere, “Luo ngng, stand up and tell , did you cheat on this test or not?”
“I, I…” Suddenly called out by na, Luo ngng’s small fra involuntarily shuddered, instinctively standing up from her seat, her gaze darting and avoiding eye contact with the teacher.
“What, you still don’t want to admit it?” The horoom teacher sneered again upon hearing Luo ng’s hesitant stamring without forming a complete sentence, took out her test and Gu Zhihan’s, holding them up high, “You even copied the wrong answers that Gu Zhihan crossed out, are you still going to claim you didn’t cheat?”
“Or are you trying to say that Gu Zhihan copied from you, and that he accidentally copied all the wrong answers you had marked out?”
The horoom teacher’s words were sharp and cutting, making Luo ng’s face turn red and tears involuntarily fall. Biting her lip, she shouted, “Of course not, my husband is so smart, there’s no way he could have copied my paper. It was who copied his.”
She was solely responsible for her actions and would never drag her husband down with her.
“Such bad behavior at a young age, who knows what you’ll be like when you grow up. Go to the cleaning area right now, and don’t even think about going ho for vacation until you’ve cleaned it all up!” The horoom teacher’s tone was extrely strict; as a teacher, she despised cheating on tests the most. Even copying howork was less forgivable than handing in a blank paper or not doing it at all.
“Fine, I’ll go!”
ngng wiped away her tears and marched off with her short legs to the back of the classroom to grab a broom.
“Wait a mont.”
Gu Zhihan’s voice suddenly rang out in the quiet classroom, prompting everyone to turn and look at him, clueless about what he was about to do.
Even Luo ng paused in place, turning to look at him.
The young boy stood expressionless from his seat, his gaze indifferent as he looked at the horoom teacher on the podium, and said, “This issue is not solely her fault. I am also to bla.”
“What do you an?” The horoom teacher couldn’t help frowning, possibly guessing what was on his mind, and imdiately signaled him with her eyes to speak less.
“During the test, it was I who took the initiative to let her copy from my paper,” Gu Zhihan said, ignoring her glances and openly admitting it.
While ngng was wrong to cheat, he who had knowingly provided the ans to cheat was even more culpable.
“Gu Zhihan, you…” With his straightforward confession, even if the horoom teacher wanted to show him favoritism, she couldn’t now. Clenching her teeth, she reluctantly punished them both, “You go clean the area as well!”
“Hmm.” Gu Zhihan nodded, then left his seat, took a broom, and led Luo ng out.
“Husband, why did you admit it, you dummy!” As soon as they reached a deserted area, Luo ng threw herself into his arms and looked up at him with her fuzzy little head, her eyes full of distress.
If he hadn’t co forward, the teacher would have never known that he was the one who had let her copy, and would have thought that she had sneakily looked at his answers when he wasn’t paying attention. But now he had laid everything bare, especially in front of everyone, and the teacher could no longer show favoritism even if she wanted to.
