Thinking that this balm was bought for her by Bei Heigou, Li Mumu hesitated for a mont, then took out her phone and found Bei Mo in her friend list. She sent him a voice ssage: "Good night."
After sending the ssage, Li Mumu didn’t receive a reply for a long ti.
Originally intending to sleep, she tossed and turned in bed, frequently checking her phone to see if Bei Mo had replied.
She checked once, but there was no response.
She checked a second ti, still nothing.
A third ti, and still nothing.
Li Mumu pounded her pillow in frustration, overwheld by an inexplicable feeling of disappointnt.
Yet she couldn’t quite understand why she felt that way.
In fact, the reason Bei Mo hadn’t replied to the girl’s ssage was because he was stunned, completely surprised that Li Mumu would wish him "good night" too.
At that mont, he was like dreaming, clutching his phone tightly, repeatedly listening to those two words, and letting out silly laughter.
Then he pressed the voice button himself and replied: "Good night, go to sleep quickly, see you at school tomorrow."
He released his finger and sent the ssage.
Originally, he wanted to say a few more words, but he felt like that would co off as too enthusiastic, so he reluctantly stopped.
Upon receiving the reply, Li Mumu’s earlier feeling of gloom disappeared instantly. She placed her phone aside with a smile and peacefully went to sleep.
The next day.
At the kindergarten gate.
They t by chance.
Bei Mo, closing the car door, raised an eyebrow at the young girl who also got down from her car, "What a coincidence, Li Wooden Head, good morning."
Upon hearing this, the driver in the car couldn’t help but glance silently at his Little Duke.
No one knew it was him observing with binoculars for ages, then instructing the driver to bring the car over when the Royal Family’s car arrived...
"Yes, such a coincidence." Completely unaware of the truth, Li Mumu thought their eting this morning was indeed just a coincidence.
This ti, instead of quarreling as they usually do the mont they et, they walked harmoniously side by side into the kindergarten.
Bei Mo asked, "How’s your leg?"
"Much better." Li Mumu replied.
Bei Mo nodded, "When you first begin practicing leg stretches it hurts, but once you get used to it, it doesn’t hurt as much."
"Mm!"
Li Mumu nodded her little head.
Just when Li Mumu thought they were running out of topics, Bei Mo said again, "By the way, have you heard about the kindergarten’s Mid-Autumn performance activity?"
"Is there such a thing?" Hearing this, Li Mumu raised her eyes, bewildered.
She had no idea about this.
"All you do is eat and sleep all day, it’s normal you wouldn’t know," Bei Mo couldn’t help but shake his head.
Indeed, he knew there was a ninety percent chance the girl didn’t know about this.
When they arrived in the classroom, the teacher formally announced the Mid-Autumn performance activity, "Kids, it’s half a month until the Mid-Autumn Festival. The kindergarten wants to organize so activities in advance. You can freely sign up for performances if you’d like."
"Li Wooden Head, do you have any talents you’d like to perform?" As soon as the teacher finished speaking, Bei Mo couldn’t help but look at the young girl beside him.
Li Mumu awkwardly touched her nose, "I don’t seem to have any talents worth showcasing."
She couldn’t dance, couldn’t sing, couldn’t play an instrunt, the only thing she might be able to show off is martial arts...
"At least you have so self-awareness!" Bei Mo snorted lightly, the corners of his lips curling slightly.
