"What's wrong with this floor? The change is so big, as if we've co to a completely new dungeon."
When Sylphy arrived on floor B3 and her eyes regained sight, she imdiately raised her voice.
It couldn't be helped, as everyone had the sa thoughts as her.
The structural layout of floor B3 was sothing no one had seen before when exploring a dungeon.
The mont they descended to this floor, they saw a 5-square-ter room. And all four corners had doors.
Then, when you opened one of the doors, what lay before it was yet another 5-square-ter room. Inside that room, there were four more doors. Obviously, this ti they were stuck in a real high-end maze.
Seeing this kind of troubleso trap, it was indeed reasonable for Sylphy to cry out in anger.
"I hate these types of floors the most," Aisha, beside Myne, started cursing in a low voice. Usually, she didn't lose her temper over such things, as there were many things or people around to make her angry, but this ti, she also couldn't control herself.
"Waffle, can you sense mana inside this floor? What's the situation? Can you locate the right path?"
As if predicting he would say that, Waffle imdiately raised his head high and sniffed around for mana.
"Mana density here is quite good, but... for so reason, I can't figure out the route leading to the boss room. Sothing is blocking my senses."
"Maybe it's so kind of security asure of this floor to stop cheaters like us. After all, soone went to great lengths to build such a complicated maze; it would be a pity if soone ruined the other party's effort because they had a special way to find the real route."
Aisha, after hearing Waffle's words, spoke with a thoughtful look. Among all the people and pets in their group, she was the one with the most experience regarding dungeons and their chanisms.
"Well, if that's the case, then let's go with the original plan and quickly clear this area," Shaking his head, Myne was about to walk forward when Aisha stopped him.
"Wait a minute, idiot. If we walk around this floor mindlessly, I'm sure we'll get lost eventually. I've heard rumours when I was still an adventurer, and that the rooms don't connect together in a straight line like how you perceive them. The real route would most likely be zig-zag, or circular, or sothing like that."
"Just now, Waffle was unable to figure out the direction, right? What I speculate is that the four doors we're looking at right now, if we do not choose the correct door, I think we will be transported back to the sa area again, and stuck in so kind of loop. This was the chanism I've heard of from adventurers."
"Should we put a landmark for each area? Then even if we get stuck in a loop, we don't have to take the sa path again and again," Myne thought a bit and spoke with so uncertainty. He didn't know if this trick was going to work or not. This floor of the dungeon seed a hard nut to crack.
Hearing Myne's words, Aisha fell into deep thought, and after a minute or so, she ca up with a quick plan.
First, Myne and Waffle would go ahead first. This was to check whether they would return to the sa area or not. So if they t up with Aisha and the rest, who were waiting at the sa spot, then Aisha's theory of opening the correct door was right.
Then, another situation occurred whereby they did not et up with them even after proceeding forward and got lost in this weird maze. Then Myne could use his teleportation skill to return to the floor entrance, and they could make another plan.
"This certainly is a good idea, but what if my teleportation skill didn't work? This floor doesn't look normal. Don't you guys think we're stuck here?" Myne asked with concern.
"Cough, cough... Myne, I think you should care about yourself more than us," Sylphy interrupted Aisha, who was about to give Myne a 'love fist,' and pointed at the glowing crystal behind her.
"We can leave the dungeon whenever we want, but if you get stuck in the maze, it's hard to say about you, so you care about yourself more than us."
"You..."
Hearing Sylphy's shaless words, Myne for a mont felt like he was surrounded by traitors who wanted to take his life. Otherwise, whose wives are so cruel that they didn't hesitate to sacrifice their own one and only husband?
"Whose side are you guys on? One day, when I really disappear, only then will you realise my importance..."
Bang!
"Ouch!"
"Bastard, you've disappeared God knows how many tis without telling us! We've long ago experienced the feeling of being widows at an early age... Now stop ssing around and move your ass. We don't have all day to waste!"
Aisha hit Myne's head irritably, interrupting his nonsense. There was so much work to do at the clan; if she had known that this simple exploration would be so troubleso, she would never have co here.
Today was the first day of their business; it was truly unlucky to hand everything over to a bunch of noobs who didn't understand anything. Now, Aisha felt that if they continued to be so careless, the future of their clan was not very promising.
"Fine, fine. Also, Waffle, you don't have to co with . I alone will be able to move faster," Saying that, Myne start stretching his muscles as if he is about to run rathon, but corner of his eyes he was looking at Aisha, and when she wasn't paying attention, he quickly pinch her buttock hard, taking revenge for her hitting him twice, and ran away without giving her a chance to fight back.
"Idiot, where can you run? At the end of the day, you will co back to ," Aisha spoke, gritting her teeth, while rubbing her buttock, which was hurting like hell, because Myne used too much force.
Sylphy, Waffle, and Ted, looking at Aisha, whose eyes were about to spit fire, could only shake their heads. They could already imagine Myne's miserable state after he fell into her hands.
...
After entering the first room, Myne, out of curiosity or maybe to prove Aisha wrong and make fun of her, went straight without any stop. To leave a mark, Myne, who didn't lack mana, at least for the ti being, directly summoned a random big rock the size of an adult with the help of his skill, Unique Magic・Subli Obscurity, which can summon or even create anything out of thin air he wants, as long as he has sufficient mana. This way, even if he is blind, he can't miss such an obvious sign.
Right, right, left, right, left, right, left, right... was the pattern he followed when choosing which doors to open. Anyway, no matter which way he went, everything looked the sa.
Then, after going through 10 rooms, he, like previously, continued to rush forward, but seeing Aisha and the others sitting on the floor casually while talking and laughing as if they were on a picnic, the corner of his mouth couldn't help but twist.
"Yo, Myne, you're back... Want to eat sothing?" Aisha, seeing Myne rushing out from the maze as if soone was chasing him, instantly understood that her prediction was right, and this floor was so kind of loop maze, very difficult to crack.
"You eat yourself! I still have to work, otherwise, you two will definitely drag into this ss again tomorrow," Myne gave Aisha the middle finger while the others weren't paying attention, since he know very well why she was being so nice, and inviting him to eat, making her raise her eyebrow irritedly, she didn't expected that he would see though her plan.
Then Myne again rushed into the sa-looking room with four doors.
"By the way, if this entire floor is a loop maze, then why didn't we encounter rlin's friends? Aren't they just a little ahead of us? With Myne's speed of running, they should have already encountered him, right?" Sylphy, who rembered that there was also a group of people whom she wanted to beat with them in the dungeon, couldn't help but ask Aisha.
"Maybe after barely defeating the previous boss by sacrificing their so-called friend, they realised that they were overestimating their strength and had left the dungeon instead of continuing forward and risking their lives. After all, it is indeed very profitable to explore an unknown dungeon, but they have to be alive to enjoy the benefits they gain from the dungeon," Aisha thought for a mont and replied while rubbing her chin.
Although most adventurers are very reckless and play with fire all the ti, this doesn't an that they are fools and throw away their lives despite knowing that they are going to lose. Rather, they are more insightful and smart when it cos to saving their lives.
After running into the endless rooms with four doors for half an hour like a mad dog, and dumping nearly 87 big rocks as marks, and ending up eting his gang around 5 tis in this entire process, Myne finally encountered sothing different.
