Chapter 94: A Leisure Bath With Her Comfort
"Why are you going to stay in your room for tonight?" That was the first thing Night asked with his forehead furrowed.
I expected this but why am I forced to be with this guy right now? "Did you call
into your room just to ask that?"
Night nodded. "Why aren’t your friends coming ho?"
"Because we’re having a sleepover," I said. Although it’s Wednesday today that’s why we can’t stay until late at night. "And grandpa Kenta approved this sleepover. He was the one who said to make my friends stay for the night." He can’t retort with that.
"I don’t care about that." Night said. "You can just let them sleep in your room, and go sleep in our room."
Does he even hear what he’s saying? "Why should I do that? Do you want my friends to sleep in the sa room as you too?"
Night frowned. "Not them. You." He said.
"I don’t want to sleep with you though," I said causing him to make this look in disbelief.
"Why not?"
Is he really asking? "Anyway, I won’t so stop disturbing us, would you?" I rolled my eyes as I walked towards the door and went out of his room. Night’s really weird, sotis he acts so cold and so mature, but sotis he acts like a selfish kid.
"Did you talk well with the young master?" Kenji asked as soon as I got outside the room.
"Yeah," I said as I was about to walk away, but Kenji’s smile made
stop. "Stop flirting with my friend." I looked at him and said that.
Kenji giggled and shrugged. "I’m not." He said as if I don’t notice his weird smiles toward Andy. "I’m not even interested in your girl friend."
"Not Ace! Andy!" I said aloud which caused Kenji to tilt his head.
"Your guy friend?" He asked making
realize that what if Kenji’s just being his usual self and he doesn’t even know that Andy’s gay!
"N-No, never mind." He might hate Andy if he realizes that Andy’s eyeing him romantically. "Just, don’t smile too much. It’s weird."
Kenji smiled. "You an like this?"
I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head. "Just don’t disturb us," I said and walked back to my room. Rika was talking to Andy and Ace and it looks like she was having a great ti. It makes
happy to see my important people getting along well.
"Did your talk with Night went fine?" Andy asked with his eyebrows raising at the sa ti. "Did you have fun?"
I grimaced. "Have fun?" How am I going to have fun with Night?
Rika stood up from the floor. "I’ll prepare the bath for the miss and her friends." She said as she went out of the room.
"Why do I feel Fuentes has feelings for you?" Ace asked while chewing the gum that Rika brought. "He’s weirdly obsessive too. Or maybe he only sees you as a pet that he started taking care of." She added.
Andy nodded. "I agree. Are you sure he’s being forced to marry you? Oh, by the way, I only agree about the liking part and not the pet one. Cause in our eyes, he looks like Night adores you."
What adores? "Stop talking nonsense." I shook my head while laughing. "He’s just acting, okay? And if he looks like he adores , he’s just playing with ." As if I’ll fall into his tricks. I’ve heard it before, Kenji said that I’m not like a pet. If that’s really about . But who else would they be talking about except for ? It’s not like it’ll be about Tomoe, or maybe Night has other girls.
I don’t really know much about him.
Andy and Ace looked at each other. "It’s okay if you don’t believe us, but you really don’t like him anymore?" Ace asked with a serious tone.
Do I really? I an, it feels like I’m going to betray myself and my pain if I keep liking him. "I don’t want to like him anymore," I said.
"So you’re saying that there’s a possibility that you still like him?"
I looked at them after Ace said that. ’Is there? Wait! What’s with this hesitation!? There’s no need for hesitations.’ I shook my head. "No. There’s nothing left." Even if there is, I wouldn’t let it out. I’ll keep it hidden so that no one would ever try to find it.
Rika told us that the bath was ready. "Let’s go. I’ll just ask Kaoru for your clothes, Andy." I said as I lead the way to the baths. It feels like we’re on a vacation, except that Night’s family is here and I feel like Shiho wants to get along with my friends.
"I think Night’s sister, what’s her na again?" Andy asked while we were on our way. "Right, Shiho. I think she’s genuinely attached to you."
I nodded. "She’s indeed attached to ." It might beco a problem soon, but I don’t want to think about it yet. Maybe because I’ve been wishing for a younger sibling my whole life, I don’t want to hurt Shiho.
As soon as we entered the baths, Andy went to the other side while Rika waited outside. "What will you do? What if Fuentes’s sister learned of your secret?" I took my clothes off while I stared at the basket where we put our clothes. "You’re attached to her too, aren’t you?"
I nodded. There’s no point hiding it from Ace, she can figure out everything about . "I don’t know what to do. It’s not like I can tell her my situation since it’s confidential." Ace patted my head as I covered my body with a bath towel.
We soaked our bodies in the warm bath and I couldn’t stop the feeling of guilt. "Don’t think about it for now." Ace said after noticing that I’ve been oddly quiet since we got into the bath. "I don’t want you to think too much. I just want to know that you’re aware of the situation you are in."
I pouted. "I didn’t want to lie, but I didn’t want to make her unhappy too." Why do I feel so attached to Shiho? It’s not like we’ve known each other for so long, so why? "I’m glad that you finally know my secret and I don’t have to suffer lying to you and Andy anymore."
Ace smiled. "I’m also glad that I didn’t have to lie to you." She said. "Lying was exhausting more than working every day."
I nodded. "I couldn’t agree more."
"I feel bad for not being able to understand you when you needed
the most." She said. "Don’t keep everything to yourself from now on, okay? I will help you with whatever I could."
That’s reassuring, now I’m not that afraid anymore. "Thank you, Ace." I smiled. We talked about how she’s holding on to her work, and I don’t even know what to say. If it was still the past I would offer to help through my parents because it’s their wealth I’ll use. "I’m sorry that I couldn’t help you right now." I’m already ashad to ask for help from grandpa Kenta since he’s already helping
every day, he’s keeping
safe and letting
get whatever I need in my daily life.
"Why would you apologize about that?" Ace chuckled. "I’m fine, silly. I’m handling it well and I think it teaches
how to manage my ti well." She added and gave
head pats again as if comforting . She’s the one suffering but I’m the one getting comforted again.
After taking a leisure bath, Ace and I went back to my room but Andy was still nowhere to be found. "Isn’t he enjoying the bath too much?" Ace said while drying her hair but I feel nervous since Kenji might have gone and taken a bath with Andy.
"Did tita Alia send another letter to you?" Ace asked after we were done drying our hair.
That reminds , they haven’t sent
anything yet. "No, I miss my mom so much but I’m too afraid to ask grandpa Kenta to get
a letter from my parents."
Ace didn’t say anything about that anymore. "I think they’re doing fine, tita Alia must be thinking that it’ll just distract you if she keeps sending letters." I guess that could be it, but there’s a part of
that thinks that maybe... what if they’re not okay?
I shook my head to imdiately remove that thought. ’They’re fine. Grandpa Kenta will tell
about it if sothing happened to them.’ I thought as I smiled. "About the school festival, we’re doing the exhibition for Ryzen’s arts right?"
Ace nodded. "Yeah. I think it’ll be great since Ryzen’s a famous artist on the internet after all." That’s true. He’s the most well-known artist in our school, and he’s also doing digital arts so he’s also famous on social dia. He’s really talented that’s for sure. But so people still belittle people who are good with the arts because they don’t get it.
I’m excited to explore the school during the school festival. "Oh, I rember sothing." Ace said causing
to look at her. "What is the swimming club planning to do for the school festival?"
Oh, that’s right. School clubs also need to participate in the school festival. "We still haven’t talked about it." Or did we?
