Chapter 90: Annoying!

"El!" I called for his na as I took a step on the bleachers. All eyes were on us and I didn’t have the ti to care about that. "What are you doing here?" I asked as I pass Night by.

A smile quickly ford on El’s face as he grabbed my arms. "Hi, it feels like it’s been so long since we last t." He said with that bright and broad smile.

"Why are you here?" I whispered while forcing a smile since I can feel everyone’s eyes on us. El placed my hand on his cheek causing my teammates to squeal. "What are you doing?" With my eyes wide, I asked him that in disbelief.

El’s still smiling from ear to ear. "I missed you that’s why I ca." He said with a loud voice.

I tried to pull my hand back but El didn’t let . "Could we talk sowhere else?" I asked him that while trying to communicate with him through my eyes.

"Why? You can’t go outside wearing your swimsuit." He said as he removed his jacket and put it over . "Now I think we can." El placed his arm over my shoulder as he was about to make

go with him, but soone grabbed my arm from behind causing us to look back.

"Oh my, isn’t this a total drama?" I heard Ericka say while she was sitting near the pool. ’Can she stop?’ Ericka said that because Night grabbed my arm.

I looked at Night. "What are you doing?" I mouthed as I signaled that everyone was looking at us. "Let my arm go." Night’s only staring at

as I could feel his grip tightening.

"She said to let her arm go." El grabbed Night’s hand and forced it to release my arm. "We have sothing to talk about." He said as he pulled

over to the side so that we could talk to each other more privately.

Leslie made our teammates focus on the training while I sat on the farthest end of the bleachers. "Why are you here?"

"Just like I told you, I missed you—"

"I know that’s not it."

El scratched the back of his head as he sat beside . "I really did miss you." He said. "But also, I ca here to tell you that I’m going back to Italy."

"For good?"

El smiled as he shook his head. "Nope. It’s only temporary."

"You could have just texted

that. Why bother coming here?"

He giggled. "It’s because I missed you. And I’ll miss you more if I leave now." El placed his hand on top of mine. This will make my teammates misunderstand our relationship. "I don’t know when I’ll co back but I promise to co back before the finals of your swimming competition." How is he so sure that we’ll be joining the finals anyway?

"Is that it?"

"Wow, that’s quite cold."

I scoffed. "I don’t know how I should react after you caused a commotion here."

"Oh, I apologized for that." He chuckled while scratching the back of his head. "But that guy’s here too. Night Fuentes." El said talking about Night who’s glaring at him right now. "I can feel his gaze as if he’s trying to drill a hole in my face."

I shook my head. "Don’t mind him." I stood up after that. "I have training now so I’ll just text you later."

"Are you sure about that? You might forget about

again."

I smiled. "I’ll try my best not to forget this ti," I said as I walked toward the pool.

"That doesn’t sound assuring at all!"

I shook my head and ignored him. "What was that about? Is he courting you now?" Tristen imdiately asked as soon as we started stretching.

They keep on forcing

to tell them what El and I talked about but I keep saying that it was nothing. "So stingy." I ignored that. ’Today I must focus on the training and then as soon as I go ho, I’ll receive so hurtful words from Night again. I can’t wait, ha-ha.’

"You did really great today." Coach Samantha said while I got up from the pool. "Did you get inspired because of Night?" She asked with a teasing smile. ’See? Even teachers tease

when it cos to this thing.’ I laughed it off as I started wiping my body.

"It’s not like that, coach," I said.

"Is that so? Anyway, great job everyone!"

Like usual, Ericka and I went to the shower room after doing our sets. "Doesn’t it bother you that Night was just sitting there the whole ti?" Ericka asked while putting her clothes on.

I tilted my head. "Why would it bother ? I told you already, I’m over him."

"He seems interested in you though."

"What? I didn’t hear what you said."

"No, it was nothing."

I pretended not to hear to stop that topic already. So what if Night looks like he’s interested in . ’He’s not. It’s all pretend for him.’ And he will never be interested in . "Should we eat dinner together today?" Ericka asked as soon as we finished changing into our clothes.

"I don’t think I can today." Since I promised Shiho that I’ll get along with her brother, I’ll be going ho with that guy, ’I think.’ "I need to go ho early today."

Ericka understood that without asking why so we parted ways because she said she’ll be asking the others if they want to get dinner. I walked my way to the hallway, and I can feel two people’s presence behind . It must be Night and Kaoru. ’Who else would it be?’ "What was that about?" I heard Night’s voice behind .

"I don’t know what you’re talking about." Even though I know that he’s talking about that thing with El.

"That guy again." Night said as he walked by my side.

"Could you stop walking beside ? What if soone sees us?"

"So what?"

My forehead furrowed as I looked at him. "It might not be important to you since you’re not the one who’s going to end up being bullied by your fans." I rolled my eyes as I walked faster but he just matched my pace again. ’Annoying! Really, really annoying!’ I thought as I blew air to my bangs. "Anyway, I already told my friends about us and they want to go to the house this Wednesday," I said that with annoyance.

"Sure."

"And I know that you don’t want to et them that’s why I’ll do my best to— what?" Did he just agree without scowling at ?

"I said sure. Make them go and et everyone."

I stopped walking as I felt weirded out by that. "Why? Don’t you want to scowl and get mad at

for what I did?"

"I thought you’ll like it if I agree?"

No, I do like it but it’s weird. It’s weird for Night to do sothing that I’ll like. "Right, I forgot to put another rule for us," I said. "Mind your own business and I’ll mind mine."

"Does that an I can’t ask about that guy?"

"Yes, I’m glad you’re smart."

With that, I went to the car and rode it with Kaoru. When I thought Night will be riding in the other car, he sat beside

making my forehead crease. "Why are you here?"

"I can’t walk back ho."

Why is he answering as if he doesn’t know what I an? "I ant why are you riding this car? Don’t you have another car? The one you always ride."

"Kenji has sothing to do." He said as he told Asahi to drive already.

’He’s so annoying! Let’s just forget about him.’ I thought as I placed earphones on both my ears and listened to my favorite music while looking at the window. It’s the usual view, but sohow I feel better than I was the past week when I was still suffering due to my lies.

I’m so glad Ace accepted

and now we’re back to normal. I learned that she also went through a lot and I will always worry for her, I can’t help her right now since I don’t have money and I don’t have the ans to get any money either. ’I want to be able to help her.’ I thought.

I felt Night’s elbow on my arm making

look at him with confusion. "There’s lots of space, why are you cramping

here?" I asked him but he just smiled at

as if he didn’t hear anything. ’He’s annoying.’

When we arrived at the mansion, Shiho was with grandpa Kenta and they greeted us. "It’s rare to see the two of you coming ho together," Grandpa said with a smile making Shiho smile too since she can’t see us. "Did Night wait for you, my dear?"

I nodded with a smile. "Yes, grandpa," I said as I hugged grandpa Kenta and Shiho. ’It’s annoying but I need to pretend that Night and I are getting along well.’

"Are you going to have dinner with us?"

I nodded again. "Shiho will join right?" Shiho smiled happily as she grabbed my arm and nodded.

’This is good.’
