Chapter 78: Hot and Cold
That was sothing unnecessary coming from Makoto. I ignored him and carried Mizuki towards Dr. Tricia’s office since she got bruises on her chin and knees. "Should I carry her?" Night asked while he was following , causing my forehead to crease.
"Do you want to be carried by Night?" I asked Mizuki and she nodded so I let Night carry him while his other hand holds mine. ’Why does he has to hold my hand, though?’ "Why are you holding my hand?" It’s not like I’ll get lost here if he doesn’t hold my hand.
Night didn’t answer while I hold onto Taka’s hand on the other. "You guys look like a family; it’s making
tear up," Makoto said. He’s still following us on our way to Dr. Tricia’s office. I ignored him and it looks like Night doesn’t care about him either. "Wow, you guys are cold to . You really suit each other."
"Just go to the dining area, Makoto." Taka was the one who said that which caused Makoto to ruffle his hair and left. "He was annoying, wasn’t he?" He looked at
while saying that. "I guess he likes Noelle too, I like Noelle too."
Night imdiately stopped and looked at Taka after he said that. "What?" He asked with that cold tone.

laugh because of how cute that was. "I’ll beco the boss for you," Taka added.
"You know it’s bad to covet soone else’s wife, Taka," Mizuki said while hugging Night. "Noelle onee-chan is Yoru’s wife." She said and Night nodded in agreent. ’What is wrong with him? It’s really weird. He’s acting too much. It’s only the four of us here so why is he acting like the best actor he could be?’ I thought while shaking my head.
When we arrived in Dr. Tricia’s office, she greeted us with her lovely smile and helped Mizuki get treated. "We should go to the dining area too. Shiho’s been waiting." Night glared at Taka after he ntioned Shiho’s na without honorifics.
Night was still carrying Mizuki, and the four of us walked towards the dining area. Grandpa’s waiting and I feel like I’m about to get the sa comnts from the others as what Makoto said. "The lady and young master have arrived," Kenji announced as we arrived in front of the dining room. He’s smiling at
with that sa annoying smile. As soon as we entered the room, grandpa greeted
with a huge smile on his face.
"You two look great with children." Grandpa Kenta said making
feel weird. ’It doesn’t feel good when they say that to us. I don’t want to have children with this person anymore. And grandpa Kenta said that I don’t need to do those mature things with Night since I’m not his real wife.’ I thought as I just smiled. "Sit, let’s start eating."
Mizuki sat beside
and when Taka tried to sit on my other side, Night beat him to it and Taka was forced to sit beside Mizuki. ’What’s with this guy? Is he doing this to show grandpa that he’s being kind towards ?’ It made
wince thinking about it like that. I’ll just ignore it.
"It’s my brother’s birthday today, grandpa," Shiho said. That reminds , it is indeed Night’s birthday. "Shall we do sothing to celebrate?"
Grandpa Kenta smiled at Shiho. "Sure, my dear. What do you want to do?" Why is he asking Shiho though? It’s Night who’s the celebrant so why is he asking soone else. It makes
think that grandpa Kenta hates Night at this point.
"What does older brother wants to do?" All eyes went to Night.
Makoto giggled. "Maybe he wants to spend the whole day with his lovely wife." He said. Why does he keep getting on Night’s nerves? Does he want to be punched by him or what? "If I have a pretty and lovely wife like Noelle, I will spend all of my ti with her." Makoto winked at
again.

right in front of grandpa Kenta.’
"Won’t you stop?"
Silence followed after Night told Makoto that. Makoto raised his hands again. "It was a joke. I wouldn’t try to steal your wife." Night scoffed after hearing that causing
to blink. ’Did he just scoff at his cousin?’ "What was that? Are you that confident that I wouldn’t be able to steal Noelle from you?"
"Try." Night said.
"Stop it. We’re eating." Grandpa Kenta said before things get worse. We continued eating with the tension still in the air. I don’t really understand what’s Makoto’s problem with Night and why does he keep using ? Can’t they fight without including ?
After we finished eating, grandpa Kenta told us to spend money for Night and that he cannot be with us since he has work to do. "I also need to do sothing." Night said as he grabbed my waist and pulled
towards him. He kissed my forehead making my eyes widen. ’What was that?!’ "I’ll co back later." He added causing
to look at Kenji who was also confused with the situation.
Night and Kenji left while I am still dumbfounded. ’Is Night playing with ? The last ti he was cold, even colder than the frozen ice cream that I once ate when I was 7 years old that gave
a brain freeze. Now he’s being all sweet and clingy towards . What is his problem?’ I shook my head as I followed Shiho and Himari toward Shiho’s room. She said that she wants to spend ti with
today while Mizuki and Taka are attending their lessons.
I still don’t understand why Night is acting this way, was it because of what happened yesterday? "I don’t understand."
"Shall I explain the ga again?"
I went back to reality after Shiho said that. "C-Co again?"
Shiho chuckled. "Let’s just have a girls’ talk." She said. "What flowers do you like, Noelle?"
"I like lots of flowers, so I don’t really have a favorite."
Shiho nodded. "Then what are your hobbies?" She asked. "For , I like knitting before, but now Himari read
stories."
"Uhm, I like sports."
Shiho’s face brightened. "Really? What sports is your favorite?"
"I think swimming? I’m actually in our school’s swimming team, and we’re competing in a competition."
"Wow! I didn’t know you were so talented."
I heard Shiho laugh causing
to smile. "We’ll be competing in the semifinals this January, and if we passed, we’ll be joining the finals." That reminds , I should be training right now not doing unnecessary things. "I want to train a little even while I’m still on vacation."
"Then we should go to our indoor pool."
My forehead creased. "There’s an indoor pool?"
Shiho nodded. "Himari-san." Himari entered the room. "Can we go to the indoor pool today?"
"Yes, I shall call Asahi for the car."
Oh, I thought the indoor pool is in this household, but I thought wrong. Asahi prepared the van for us, Mizuki and Taka are already done with their lessons so they’ll go with us to have fun. ’Although Makoto will be coming with us. I guess this is how we’ll spend ti with each other.’ "Are you allowed to swim?" I asked Shiho while we sat side by side in the car.
"As long as I won’t drown." She said. "Even if I drown, I trust Noelle to save ." I’m not confident with that, after all, I drowned while training before.
We rode the car towards the said indoor pool owned by the Yamaguchi-gumi. "Let’s change clothes." I helped Mizuki change into her clothes, while Himari helped Shiho. As we got out of the locker room, I heard Makoto whispering causing Himari to throw her paddle at him because of that.
"Stop fucking around." My eyes widened after hearing Himari curse like that. "You’re disgusting." She added while shaking her head. I’m so glad I was fast to cover Mizuki’s ears before she could hear Himari curse at her brother like that.
"Uhm, just to remind you, I’m older than you."
Himari ignored Makoto and she told us to go to the pool area now. Makoto followed us and as soon as we entered the pool area, there was nobody else there but us. "This is our private property; you don’t have to worry about other people." Makoto wrapped his arm around my shoulder, but I pulled it off.
"Please stop being all touchy with ." I tried to smile. "It’ll make things harder for you." Honestly, it’s harder for
but there’s no way I can say that. I’ll just use Night’s acting before since it’ll be more convenient as an excuse.
Makoto smiled at . "Is it really?" I faked a smile. He’s as annoying as his cousin.
"Let’s stretch first before going in the water."
