Chapter 126: Couldn’t Resist
I was surprised when Night suddenly apologized and stood up from the bed. "I know I shouldn’t be selfish." He looked at . "Receiving comfort from you made
realize how much of an asshole I was and I still might be. I’m talking about the freedom that I lost, but I’m trying to take your freedom away. That’s why I apologize."
Night walked towards the bathroom, but before he could get inside, he glanced at . "I’ll help you study today too." He didn’t let
say anything as he entered the bathroom without waiting for my response. He’s acting as if nothing happened.
’Why would he apologize like that?’
I sighed as I stared at my hand. His warmth still lingers and I couldn’t stop feeling all mushy. Night said that he’s taking my freedom away, sotis I do feel like that when he gets overly jealous of other people. It’s weird because I don’t particularly hate it when he does that. Although sotis, I feel annoyed with him, those feelings don’t last at all and I kept on forgiving Night for his actions.
I lay on the bed while still wearing my uniform. ’What did Night an with what he said? Is he going to let
go? Will he stop proving to
that he loves ?’ The mont I thought of that, I felt a sharp pain in my chest and I curled up due to the pain. If he does that, would it make
happy? These thoughts wouldn’t leave
alone.
"Aren’t you going to change clothes?" I heard Night’s voice as he went out of the bathroom. His hair was still wet and he was just covering his lower body with a towel.
’Was I laying here too long that Night already finished his bath?’ I got up and stared at Night.
"Is there sothing wrong?" The way he talks, the way he looks at , and the way he touches
are all different now. He treats
differently. It’s not like he beca a different person, he still treats other people the sa as before, I’m the only one he treats differently. More gently, and with care.
I smiled as I walked towards the door. "I’ll change clothes first and go back here with my books." I felt Night’s hand on my arm right when I was about to walk out of the room.
"It fell out of your pocket." He said as he got up from the floor after picking up the handkerchief I dropped. I gulped as I saw water droplets flowing through his huge pecs. ’Why am I thinking like so kind of pervert? Get a hold of yourself, Noelle!’
"T-Thanks," I said as I reached for the handkerchief, but Night suddenly raised it away from . "Uh... Night?" I called for his na but he was literally just staring at the handkerchief and wasn’t responding at all. ’Is there sothing wrong with the handkerchief?’ If I rember it correctly, there’s no hint of blood on it anymore since I already washed it yesterday. It’s the handkerchief El lent
the other day.
"Where did you get this?" I can’t figure out what he was feeling just by the tone of his voice. ’Is there sothing wrong with it?’ Night looked at
and pointed at the embroidery on the edge of the handkerchief. "This, this was once the Yamaguchi-gumi’s insignia."
I tilted my head. "What do you an?"
"That ans, this handkerchief exclusively belongs to the Yamaguchi-gumi." Huh? How could that be? This handkerchief belongs to El. "I don’t know the reason why grandfather changed the family insignia, but this handkerchief wasn’t sothing that every mber of the Yamaguchi-gumi could have. It must have belonged to an executive or even grandfather’s children based on the material used."
E-Executive? Grandpa Kenta’s children!? Wait, wait, wait!
"This might also be stolen." Night added making
gulp. ’El said that it belongs to his mother... could his mother be a part of the Yamaguchi-gumi before?’ I thought. "That’s why I want to know where you got this." Even though I wanted to be honest with Night, I am afraid that El might get hurt if I tell the truth without asking El.
Maybe he’s in the sa situation as . My father used to be a mber of the Yamaguchi-gumi, maybe that’s how it is for El too.
"I just... picked it up in the storage room and thought it was pretty." I lied.
Night doesn’t look convinced, but he didn’t bother asking any more questions which made
feel relieved. He gave
back the handkerchief and went to the closet. I wonder if he wanted to show it to grandpa Kenta?
"Do you want to eat dinner together?" I heard him before I could go out completely.
"S-Sure," I said as I opened the door and sighed aloud. "That was close." The strength on my knees disappeared almost causing
to sit on the floor if it wasn’t for Makoto that passed
by.
"What happened?" Makoto asked and without even waiting for my answer, a smirk ford on his face. "Ooh... don’t tell . Yoru and Noelle did so intense exercise?" He asked which made my forehead crease. What is he talking about?
"What do you an with exercise?"
Makoto started laughing so loud that Night imdiately went out of the room after hearing it. "What are you doing here?" He asked Makoto. That’s right, why is he here anyway? I thought this part of the mansion was only for Night and ? ’Even though they don’t need to do sothing like that, I am still thankful that I can escape from Makoto whenever I’m here.’
"I just passed by. Why are you being an already?" Makoto smiled but he only received a glare from Night. "Fine. I’ll leave."
When Makoto was nowhere in sight, Night made
look at him. "What did he do? Did he say sothing weird to you?" He asked as if he was anxious about sothing. ’Maybe it’s because of what Makoto did to
last ti.’
"He only asked if we did an intense exercise." Night’s face turned beet red which made
tilt my head. "Is there sothing wrong? Why is your face turning red?"
"I-It’s nothing. You should change clothes now."
I nodded and rushed towards my room. I’ll take a bath first since it’s been hot today and I guess I wouldn’t want the clean freak Night to lash out at .
"Young miss! Shall I prepare the bath?" Rika asked as soon as she reached my room. Was she waiting for
all this ti?
"Yes, and please prepare so snacks while I bathe." Rika smiled and nodded.
After my leisure bath, I told Rika to bring our food to the room. I walked in the hallway towards the said room, and when I arrived, I saw that Night was already sleeping on the bed. ’I guess he’s been really tired today.’ I thought as I smiled and sat on the bed. Observing him, he looks so innocent when he’s sleeping like this.
"Are you willing to let
go?" When I was about to touch his forehead, Night grabbed my hand and opened his eyes.
"If that’s what you want, I’ll do that."
I could feel my heart aching, I couldn’t look away.
"I’ve hurt you a lot. This ti, I’ll do everything to make you happy. Even if I’m not in that happiness." He’s holding my hand as if it was sothing precious. "If I could be selfish, I would want you all for myself. But I shouldn’t, right?"
With the way he stared at , it felt like I could get lost in his gaze and I might do sothing I shouldn’t.
"I... want to kiss you."
Hearing that caused
to swallow the saliva in my mouth. ’Rember the rules you have made. Do not be swayed by his words.’ This is what I kept repeating inside my head, but when he gradually moved towards , I didn’t resist. Instead, I closed my eyes and waited.
"Young miss, I have brought the food."
I pushed Night away as I open my eyes after hearing Rika knock on the door. Due to that sudden action, Night fell off the bed and caused a loud thud.
"Young miss? Is everything alright?" Rika asked, but I couldn’t answer.
"I-I’m sorry," I muttered as I helped Night up.
Night accepted my hand as he stands. "I should be the one apologizing." He said and the corner of his mouth quirked up. "I’m sorry for forcing you to do sothing you hate like that." He said, and he walked towards the door to open it.
I bit my lower lip. ’I clearly didn’t resist.’ It wasn’t sothing I hate, that’s why I didn’t resist. But admitting it myself makes
feel so embarrassed. ’Why did I not resist at all!? Was it okay for
to be kissed by Night?’ I touched my lips as I imagined it happening.
It made
blink thousands of tis as I slapped my face with a pillow. ’AM I CRAZY? WHY AM I IMAGINING IT? STOP IT!’
