Chapter 108: So Not Like Him

"Do I really have to dress up for this?" I grunted as I looked at Ericka and my swimming club teammates. Ericka even invited

to her house just to make sure that I’ll be all dressed up for this date.

’It’s weird because Night and I live in the sa house, so going out like this to prepare for our date is funny.’

"And why is Kaoru here too?"

Kaoru who was eating the snacks on the side tilted his head. "I can’t let Noelle be alone." He said while munching on those cookies Ericka’s mother gave us. What does he an he can’t let

be alone? I’m with my teammates.

I shook my head. "What would I even wear? My clothes aren’t here." Ericka and Doreen giggled as they looked at each other.

"Of course, we prepared your clothes," Ericka said. "What do you think Kaoru’s purpose here?" She reached her hand to Kaoru, and Kaoru gave her a huge paper bag.

’So what Kaoru said was a lie? These scheming foxes!’

"Girls, let’s do this!"

I looked at Leslie to ask for help, but she just shrugged at

and ate snacks with Kaoru. With that, Ericka, Tristen, and Doreen started playing with

like a doll.

"Noelle’s clothes are really fantastic. It’s hard to find a top like this at the mall." Tristen said while looking at my frilly caral top.

That’s the one grandpa Kenta bought

for my birthday. Even though I don’t wear them that much since I still prefer my pink clothes.

"This light blue skirt looks so pretty too."

I don’t even have a say in this anymore. "What should we do with her hair? Should we just let it down? Or tie it up?"

Ericka looked at . "What are Night’s preferences?" She asked.

"How would I know?"

They looked at each other and said in chorus, "You’re Night’s stalker." I grimaced after hearing that.

’Yeah, right. I’m Night’s stalker, but that was in the past.’ I thought as I sighed.

"Then we’ll just decide on our own," Ericka said as she pulled out a comb from her pocket.

’What the? How did that comb even fit inside her pocket?’ I had too many questions inside my head but they remained unanswered because these girls were all busy dressing

up.

"I think simpler makeup would suit Noelle more since her skin’s already pretty," Tristen said.

"I agree, and since they’re going to an amusent park, they’ll be walking a lot. So you should go with these adorable flat shoes." Ericka showed

my white flat shoes that Kaoru also brought here without my consent.

’How did he even get into my wardrobe?’

"Are we so kind of genius, or is Noelle just really pretty?"

I sighed as I turned to them. "I think it’s the latter," Leslie said as she looked at . "Isn’t she good to go now?" She said but sounded reluctant.

"That’s right. Kaoru, you should go and help Noelle arrive at the train station on ti."

"Roger that!"

And that’s how Kaoru accompanied

to the train station. ’Although it would have been easier to just ride in the sa car with Night.’ I thought as I sighed. "Did you tell him about this?"

Kaoru nodded. "Kenji told the young master about it."

Kenji who was driving us to the station chuckled. "I didn’t know you’ll dress up well for this date."

"It’s not ." I rolled my eyes. "My teammates made

do this."

"Yes, yes. The lady hates the young master, we know that." Kenji said sarcastically making

sigh.

’He’s making fun of

again. I don’t have the energy to get angry at him now.’ Those girls woke

up too early for this, and now I want to go to sleep again.

When we arrived in front of the station, Kaoru went with . "I’ll be waiting here with the lady, but I’ll leave as soon as the young master arrives," Kaoru told

and I just nodded. I’m glad I wore thin clothes since it’s too hot today and I don’t want to sweat too much.

"Oh, right. I almost forgot." Kaoru pulled out his backpack and opened it. "Here, Rika reminded

to give the lady her umbrella just in case it’s too hot or it might rain." He said as he gave

my pink folding umbrella.

"Thanks," I said.

What’s taking Night so long anyway? Why is he still not here?

"I’m here." I turned to my right and I gulped after seeing Night. "What? Did you fall for

again?" He asked after I didn’t say anything even after he approached .

"T-There’s no way," I said as I cleared my throat. It was the first ti I saw him wearing sothing that isn’t black.

"The lady must have felt stunned by your handso features, young master," Kaoru said making

turn to him with my eyes wide open. "I shall take my leave now." He hurried away after that.

’What kind of lies is he saying?’

"Shall we go?"

I glanced to Night, it’s not because I fell for him again. It’s only because I was surprised. Night’s wearing a light blue polo shirt, matching the color of my skirt, and blue denim pants. Like I said before, it was the first ti I saw him wearing casual clothes that aren’t black color.

He has his hair down too and even wears black shades. ’No matter how much I stare at him; he looks like a supermodel.’

"It would have been easier to ride the car instead of the train." I heard him say as we boarded the train. ’Who suggested this anyway?’ "But I can have you for myself this way." The girls sitting beside us squealed after hearing what he said making

blush.

"S-Stop spouting nonsense," I whispered to him but he only removed his glasses as he smiled at . "W-What are you doing?"

"These glasses are in the way." He said causing my forehead to crease. ’Why wear it in the first place?’

"I can’t see your beauty too well."

I felt my face heating up as my grip on my skirt tightened and I couldn’t look at him anymore. ’This is unfair.’ Even the girls around us can’t help blushing with the way Night’s acting. He’s attracting too much attention and I don’t like it.

’What if people start talking bad about

because I’m with a handso-looking guy like him?’

When we arrived at our station, I rushed out of the train and even stumbled on the gap, almost making

fall face first. If it wasn’t for Night’s quick reflex, I would have already fallen to the floor.

"Are you okay?" He asked while still holding onto my waist.

The girls that were still on the train started taking our photos making

push Night away from .

"I-I’m fine," I said as I walked towards the exit of the station. ’This isn’t going well. Was it because the weather was too hot? My face’s heating up.’

"Wait for ."

Night’s being talkative, that must be it. I would prefer him to go back to the past, the one that would always scowl at

and ignore . ’This one with

isn’t good for my heart.’ I thought as we arrived in front of the amusent park.

Night gave the lady in the register our tickets, and the lady was staring at his face with hearts in her eyes. ’Don’t be fooled! He’s a devil with a handso face!’

"What do you want to ride first?"

I looked around and lots of people are there. Is there an important event or is it always like this? "They said there will be a hero show at 12 NN." So that explains why there are lots of children around us, huh?

"Do you want to watch the hero show?"

I turned to Night with my forehead creasing. "Do you want to?"

He smiled at . "I’ll do everything you want to do."

He’s doing it again. Don’t be fooled.

"Then can we go ho now?"

His smile didn’t vanish, instead, it beca scary. "Except for that." He’s smiling, but his eyes aren’t all that happy with what I said.

"Don’t you want to ride the rollercoaster? Or do you want to ride

instead?"

"What!?"

Night tilted his head while still smiling. "What?"

D-Did he just— I shook my head to remove embarrassing thoughts inside. "I-I’ll go ride."

"?"

"The rollercoaster!" I couldn’t control my voice because of the way Night’s teasing . ’He’s so annoying!’

Night chuckled making

glare at him. "Okay, let’s do that." He said as if he was sowhat disappointed with my choice. Is this really the sa Night that aid a gun at ? I can’t believe it, with the way he’s acting, sotis I wonder which one is the real him.

I sighed. This should be better, but why do I feel anxious?
