Damian’s POV
"ssage received my foot!" Evander growled, gritting his teeth as he leaned back in his chair, exhaling deeply to keep his composure. "Well... to be honest, I am not that mad now since I talked it out with Claire. And, moreover, you are my friend. No matter what kind of leech you are, I know one thing—you fear death." He said it so casually that I couldn’t help but glare at him.
"You have done such a great favor by acknowledging my fear of dying," I retorted, rolling my eyes. "Either way, I have already got a plan to refute all these rumors soon."
Evander’s eyes narrowed as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. "Damn it, Damian. How much more of a ss are you planning to make now?" His tone was exasperated, but there was a spark of curiosity in his gaze, like he couldn’t resist knowing what I was scheming.
"It’s not a ss," I replied, smirking slightly. "It’s damage control. There is a difference, you know."
Evander gave a long, unimpressed look, but he didn’t interrupt. Instead, he gestured for to continue. "Alright, before you go on with your brilliant idea, let make one thing crystal clear," he stated firmly.
I raised an eyebrow, waiting for his inevitable lecture.
"Since Claire signed with you," Evander began, his tone dangerously low. "I don’t want you linking her up with other stars for the sake of fa. I won’t tolerate it." His eyes locked onto mine. "Tolerating you is already more than enough."
I sighed, raising my hands in mock surrender. "Relax, Evander. I am not planning to use Claire as so kind of publicity pawn. I am trying to protect her reputation too, you know."
"You better be," he snapped, leaning back and crossing his arms. "Because if I even suspect you are using her for clout, I will personally make sure you regret it."
I laughed nervously, scratching the back of my neck. "Noted, boss. But can you trust for once? I have got this under control."
"You having things under control is what worries ," Evander muttered, shaking his head.
I smirked, deciding to let the jab slide. "Just wait and see. By the ti I am done, no one will even rember those ridiculous rumors. You might actually thank for this one."
Evander didn’t look convinced, but he waved off, clearly done with the conversation. "Fine. But rember, Damian—one wrong move, and you will be cleaning up more than just your own ss."
I grinned as I pronounced. "Noted. You will see, Evander. This ti, I will actually impress you."
"Go find a girl to impress, Damian! And for heaven’s sake, stop trying to impress !" Evander grumbled as he pinched the bridge of his nose. His tone was sharp, but the exhaustion in his voice gave away just how much he had on his plate. "I have already got a massive headache dealing with the company these days and then you two keep making ss for to clean!"
"What’s the matter at the company?" I asked, leaning forward with genuine curiosity. "Need so help?"
"No need," Evander replied in a low tone, waving off. "But if you are so eager, tell —what exactly are you planning now?"
I smirked, leaning back with a hint of excitent. "Well, how about this? I could just tell everyone that Claire is married and keep her husband hidden. That will put an end to the rumors in no ti, right?"
"Are you mad!?" Evander suddenly shot up, slamming his hands on the table as he stood. His fiery glare was enough to make anyone take a step back—anyone except .
"Claire is just starting her career!" he snapped. "Do you have any idea what would happen if you spread sothing like that? What if people accuse her of nepotism or start questioning her talent?"
"Man, you care way too much," I chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. His protective streak was nothing new, but it never failed to amuse .
"Of course, I care!" Evander retorted, his tone sharp and unwavering. "She has worked hard to get here, and I won’t let anyone ruin her reputation—not even you, Damian."
"Relax," I said with a casual wave of my hand. "I am just kidding. I wouldn’t actually do that. But you can rest easy knowing one thing—I won’t let anyone, not even , get linked up with Claire. Sis-in-law deserves better."
Evander sighed, his tension easing just slightly, though his sharp eyes stayed fixed on . "You better an that, Damian. Because if you try anything reckless, I will make sure you regret it."
"I got it loud and clear, boss," I said with a grin, raising my hands in mock surrender.
Evander rolled his eyes and sat back down, shaking his head as if dealing with was just another chore on his endless list. But deep down, I knew he appreciated my efforts—even if he had never admitted it.
"Okay, dude! Let know if there is anything new about Cas!" I said, standing up and brushing off my pants. "For now, I am out of here."
Without waiting for a response, I turned on my heels and walked out of the room. Who would want to stay with soone looking as grim and dangerous as Evander? He was like a storm brewing, and I had no intention of getting caught in the middle of it.
I would rather take my chances out there, maybe have so fun, and play around with girls who didn’t co with a side of drama like Evander did!

Diana’s POV
It had been months— months of hell in that jail. My father had pulled every string and moved mountains to get out of that wretched place. Only I knew the horrors I endured behind those cold, tal bars.
But now? Now I was free.
And I wasn’t going to let Claire get away with ruining my life. Not this ti.
"Claire," I whispered, my voice laced with venom as I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My face was hardened by rage and a thirst for vengeance. "You were my sister once. I went easy on you back then, but this ti? I won’t be so kind."
A slow, wicked smile crept across my lips as I leaned closer to the mirror, my fingers tracing the edge of the glass.
Because this ti, I wasn’t alone.
This ti, my man— the one I loved— was back. And he wasn’t just anyone. He was powerful. Far more powerful than your precious Evander could ever dream of being.
Back then, I thought my life was over when you married him. You took everything I wanted, everything I thought I deserved. But now? Now I have soone who surpasses him in every way.
"I will make you pay, Claire," I hissed, my eyes narrowing with determination. "You and your husband will pay tenfold— no, a hundredfold— for what you did to ."
I straightened up, brushing my hair back as I steadied myself. The mirror reflected a woman reborn, fueled by anger and a plan for revenge.
"How dare you treat like this? I muttered under my breath. My gaze burned with unrelenting fire. "None of you will escape . You will all fall into my clutches sooner or later."
With that, I turned away from the mirror, my mind racing with the steps I would take to bring Claire and Evander to their knees.
The ga had only just begun.
"What are you thinking about?"
The voice pulled from my thoughts, snapping back to reality.
I looked up, narrowing my eyes at the person in front of . "Why are you here?" I asked sharply. "What do you want from ?"
"Co on now!" The person replied, a playful smile tugging at their lips. "Is that how you greet your savior?"
"Savior?" I scoffed, leaning back as a bitter laugh escaped , echoing in the otherwise empty room. "Who do you think you are to call yourself that?"
The person didn’t flinch, instead pointing to themselves with a smirk that only fueled my irritation. "Who do I think I am?" they repeated. "I am the one who pulled you out of the abyss, rember? If it weren’t for , you would still be drowning in your misery. Shouldn’t you be thanking for that?"
I folded my arms across my chest, my gaze unwavering as I stared them down. "Pulled out?" I said, my voice laced with sarcasm. "Is that what you call it? Don’t act like you did so great favor. I never asked for your help."
"True," they admitted with a casual shrug. "You didn’t ask. But I gave it anyway. And whether you like it or not, you owe for it."
"Owe you?" I scoffed again, shaking my head. "You are delusional if you think I will ever repay you for sothing I didn’t want in the first place."
The person’s smile faltered slightly, their eyes narrowing as their voice grew colder. "You can deny it all you want, but deep down, you know I saved you. And one day... one day, you will realize just how much you owe ."
"Dream on! I am Diana! Who owes nothing to anyone but if you are here for what I think you are here for..." I said as I took a slight pause as I continued. "Then you are at the right place!"
