Claire’s POV

It’s been two weeks since the scandal broke, shaking the entire nation to its core. The aftermath was devastating for those involved—not just for Brian and Mia but for their families as well. Brian’s father, who was a prominent businessman, lost everything he owned, including his company, leaving him in ruins. Mia’s father, who had been gearing up to run for mayor, was thoroughly disgraced by the public. The netizens tore them apart, and the dia ensured their downfall was on full display for everyone to see.

Diana’s father was still safe, as he had cut his relationship with his daughter and publicly criticized her. It seed he only loved his wealth.

The revelations were massive, implicating influential figures and uncovering layers of corruption. Almost the entire country was in disbelief, struggling to process the scale of the scandal.

On the other hand, I finally felt a sense of relief. The weight I had carried for so long had been lifted, and justice had prevailed. With the chaos subsiding, I could now focus on my project with a calm mind. For the first ti in a long while, I felt like I was living life at my own pace, free from the shadows of my past.

"Cut!" The director yelled, snapping out of my thoughts. "That was an amazing shot!" he exclaid, giving an enthusiastic thumbs-up.

"Thanks a lot!" I replied politely, stepping away from the window where I had been gazing in deep thought, dressed in a hospital gown for the scene. The mont felt surreal; I had truly lost myself in the character, reflecting on her life, just as I had been lost in my own thoughts a few minutes earlier.

"That was really good, Cally!" Damian’s familiar voice interrupted my conversation with the director. He walked over, casually handing a bottle of water. Seeing the Damian Stor, the biggest superstar in the industry, offering water would have made faint a few months ago. But now that I knew him personally, I took it with a smile and gulped it down.

"You were amazing," he said, his tone warm. "I an, the scene didn’t have much dialogue, but your presence alone made it impactful."

That was Damian— always supportive, always attentive. Ever since the incident at the party, he had been by my side like a protective big brother, refusing to let out of his sight. At first, I found it overwhelming, but I had co to appreciate his concern for .

What none of us expected, however, was the new scandal that had erupted.

Damian, known for his clean image and infamous for his harmless flirtations, had now found himself in the spotlight alongside . It was no secret that he had never been seen with a woman for more than a day, and yet here he was, publicly attentive to in a way that was impossible to ignore.

"What the hell!" Sissy’s voice cut through my thoughts as she stord onto the set, visibly upset. "He has been wooing nonstop for days, and yet you are the one all over the news with him?"

"Sissy, I—" I started, unsure how to explain the situation, but she waved off dramatically.

"I am not mad at you," she clarified with a huff, her frustration aid elsewhere. "It’s whoever leaked those pictures! The nerve of them." She said as she clenched her fist.

I sighed, unsure what to say. While Sissy’s outrage was directed at the dia frenzy, my own concerns ran deeper. How would I explain all of this to Evander? We still hadn’t fully reconciled, and I wasn’t sure how many more things we had to go through before we would finally be together.

Evander’s POV

"What the hell is this!" I roared, hurling my tablet onto the couch. My eyes, however, stayed locked on the article and the photo that had just turned my simring frustration into full-blown fury.

Damian, that bastard! He had been hovering around Claire for weeks, always finding ways to insert himself into her life. And now, this scandal— this public spectacle of him and my wife— had erupted like gasoline on an open fla. How dare he!

"Boss!" Zaniel’s voice broke through my rage as he flicked his fingers in front of my face. "What would you like to do?"

"Don’t do anything!" I barked, though the anger in my tone was evident. I looked look an angry bull.

"But..." Zaniel hesitated, clearly struggling with his words or he was just pretending in front of .

I shot him a warning glance, but he pressed on. "You know Mr. Stro’s nature. He is a flirtatious man, and I am concerned he might—"

I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms as I fought the urge to lash out. What the hell was Zaniel even talking about? Did he think I needed a lecture about Damian’s reputation?

Zaniel, oblivious to the dark cloud brewing over , continued carelessly, "Seeing how caring and considerate Mr. Stro has been toward Miss Reed... I am afraid she might actually fall for him."

The words were like a dagger to my chest that almost made puke blood. My jaw tightened, and my hands trembled with barely restrained rage. The thought of Claire—my Claire—falling for soone else, especially Damian, was unbearable, though I knew it was impossible I couldn’t control my jealousy.

"Zaniel..." I growled, my voice low and laced with venom as I turned to glare at him. His nonchalance was infuriating even more.

"It’s Mrs. Kensington," I corrected him, enunciating each word with deliberate intensity as I gritted my teeth.

"But boss, Miss Reed had still not accepted you, so I think she is still Miss Reed!" Zaniel responded. He was clearly teasing .

"Get out," I commanded Zaniel, my tone brooking no argunt. "I don’t want to see your face."

I huffed in anger as I finally accepted that I was going mad in jealousy.
