attractive" he asked, pushing her further into a more embarrassing situation.

to tell him that? Doesn’t he already know the answer? Then why ask .’

Alice wanted to dig a hole for herself. Noah was testing her, and she found it hard to remain calm.

How was she supposed to tell him that he was that handso man making her go nuts with just his one glance? Alice was getting increasingly drawn to him, and not to forget, his taking care of her made her irresistible not to like him.

Alice looked at him and saw him smirk. Will he let

go if I answer him? she thought.

Building up the courage, she looked at him and answered," Y- Yes."

disappear from her,’ she prayed silently.

"Yes, what, Alice? Do you find

attractive or not" he asked, making her hard to stand on her ground.

’Why was he doing this’ she muttered to herself and watched him raise his brow, waiting for her to answer him.

"Attractive. If-find you attractive, Noah," she finally said and covered her face falling on him, burying her face into his chest.

Noah burst into contagious laughter making her look at him in anger. Her face had turned red due to embarrassnt. She frowns when she sees him laugh at her and that too shalessly.

Pulling herself up, she slapped his arm and climbed down from his body before walking towards her bedroom.

Noah watched her storm out from his hold, got up, and ran behind her before pulling her and pinning her to the wall next to her bedroom.

"Noah..." she looked at him with wide eyes. His eyes weren’t playful at all, and he could see their seriousness.

"You shouldn’t run away from

Alice. Not after you woke up the beast inside " his eyes had turned dark, and his words ca out like a warning.

Alice was rendered speechless as she watched him lean closer to her until their lips brushed." I know you like , Alice, and the day you confess it to , I won’t stop with a kiss" his breath fanned on her face making her fall weak.

Her legs beca like jelly, ready to lose their strength, when he smirked, his grip around her waist loosen, and he took a step back, confusing her.

Alice was expecting a kiss, but that didn’t happen, and he just let go of her after building the heat between them.

Winking at her, Noah turned and walked out of her house, leaving her in surprise.

"What did he just do?" she placed her hand on her chest and tried to calm herself.

She felt her body burning with his intense gaze, and she found herself losing her stand.

"This man is sothing," she turned and walked inside her room.

Karl was on ti to pick Gwen up from the Knight’s mansion. He made sure to look into the schedule for the day and found it almost free.

Imdiately texting Gwen and asking her to be ready on ti, Karl drove to pick her up.

Gwen stepped out looking beautiful as always and walked towards him. Gwen was so happy to receive a text from him early morning, and she didn’t waste ti and got ready as soon as possible.

Karl smiled at her, opened the car’s door for her to hop in, and then joined her to take the driver’s seat.

They had been so secretive from the beginning, as Tristan wanted Gwen’s identity as Knights heir to be kept under wrap that Karl made sure he wouldn’t give anyone a chance to doubt her.

He used to pick up and drop her at the company making sure no one could see them, and till now, he had successfully managed to hide it. Just keeping that in mind, even today, he made sure no one caught them and took the chance to bring her to have breakfast with him.

Driving a few distances from their company, Karl stopped the car in front of a restaurant that made delicious pancakes.

Karl had been very observant when it ca to Gwen’s liking, and pancake ca out to be her favorite.

Gwen’s eyes sparkled looking at the restaurant, and she turned to look at Karl, whose eyes were already fixed on her.

"After you my lady," he said and watched her step out of the car like an excited kid and they both headed inside the restaurant.

Inside the restaurant

"Um.. they taste so yummy. I can keep eating until my stomach bloats" Gwen was a fan of pancakes and could eat as much as she wanted.

Karl watched her take the bite and savor it with total pleasure. His eyes looked at her face as she closed her eyes and licked her lips making him gulp hard.

This girl was so innocent with her actions that she thought the man in front of her was as clear as her.

Karl pursed his lips, looking at her luscious lips as she traced the tip of her tongue on it, wiping off the honey syrup. He had no idea her small action would make him want to kiss her.

All this ti, they had only held hands and never initiated a kiss, s he thought it was too early since it was just the beginning of their relationship. But now, his thoughts were wavering because this girl in front of him was making it hard for him to stay still and don’t do anything.

"Karl, why aren’t you eating?" suddenly, he heard her call him, and his thoughts got distracted from their muse.

"Huh!" he gave her a confused look and saw her point on his plate." Why aren’t you eating?" she again said and looked down at his pancakes which weren’t touched yet.

"Oh... I w-was eating them," he said, clearing his throat and beginning to eat.

Gwen looked at him for a second before she resud eating the pancakes. A smile ford on her lips, guessing his actions.

They quickly finished their breakfast and walked out of the restaurant. All this while, Karl didn’t look at her as if he was trying hard to control his urge to kiss her.

Steeping into the car, he was about to put on the seat belt when suddenly Gwen grabbed his collar and pulled him, capturing his lips.

Karl was left in utter shock when he felt her lips on his, and his eyes were wide while his brain tried to process what was happening." Kiss , Karl," he heard Gwen’s voice against his mouth, and the next second, he closed his eyes and gave in.

It was as if her words ordered his brain and his body according to it.

The kiss they shared was so pure and wasn’t rushed as they took their ti to savor the mont. After about a minute or two, they finally pulled back, trying to catch their breath.

Gwen was blushing because the kiss with Karl turned out to be her first kiss, and she was glad to share it with the man she loved.

On the other hand, Karl felt the sa because even Gwen was the first woman he had kissed and fallen in love with. She was the first woman who made him feel love.

"Karl," she called him softly and saw him stare at her." You don’t have to control whenever you want to kiss " her words widened his eyes, and he realized that she had earlier noticed his actions.

Pulling her closer by her neck, Karl rested his forehead on hers and muttered," I didn’t realize it before, but... you are inevitable, Gwen" his words sent a shiver down her spine, and she t his eyes that held both love and lust for her.

He inched closer for another kiss when his phone buzzed and pulled back in frustration. He was about to curse, but when he saw the na flashing on the screen, his anger vanished and was replaced with politeness.

Picking up the phone, he answered Tristan’s call, which inford him about his leave for today.

Karl kept nodding his head and listening to every instruction Tristan gave him. After about five minutes, the call ended, and Karl looked at Gwen with sadness.

"Boss won’t be coming today. He has asked us to attend today’s etings" his words startled Gwen, and she fisted her palm in anger.

"How can a brother do such a thing? I was so happy that, at least for today, we would be spared, but no... he won’t let us live at peace. Wait, let

call him and ask him to talk back about all the instructions he gave."

Gwen rushed to get her phone out from her back and was about to make a call when Karl stopped her." Gwen, you can’t talk with him like that. Did you forget we are his assistant and more than that, he does know we are a couple" his words made her stop and she looked at him in shock.

"You are right. God... how did that skip from my mind" Gwen was going to ss up everything, luckily, Karl stopped her, and she realized what she was going to do.

"Does it an we won’t be having quality ti with each other?" she asked with a pout that lted Karl’s heart.
