Chapter 228 226: Eldertail Snake's Trump Card

"That's why you shouldn't underestimate foes you know nothing about. Use this lesson well in your next life," Val laughed wildly, throwing caution to the wind as he sprinted toward the creature he had immobolized.

The snake has been put in its place, but Val wanted to kick it down even further, send it to hell.

"The one that's going to die is not ! It's you!!"

The snake was the one that spoke, but its speech was incomprehensible.

Thus, Val couldn't understand what it said.

However, even though it spoke in a language that was well beyond his understanding, Val was certain it was cursing him as it didn't hiss mindlessly and instead uttered venomous words laced with murderous intent.

"What did it just say?" Val muttered under his breath, glancing at the snake warily.

"Master, it is threatening to kill you," Voidslayer said, clearing Val's confusion.

A smirk ford on Val's face, "In that state, what can it even do to ?"

"Master, don't listen to its nonsense and just kill it. The faster it dies, the better," Voidslayer advised Val.

Its advise was't bad per say.

The battle have been going on for a while.

It wasn't good to fight prolonged battle in the Shadow Valley.

After all, it could easily attract the unwanted attention of devils.

'Voidslayer is right. I should end this quickly,' Val thought.

A trace of coldness flashed in Val's eyes. The pace at which he was sprinting towards the immobilized beast increased substantially. He had activated the Titan's Reinforcent Bloodline skill, gaining a 10% increase in his strength, stamina, and agility.

It seed like it wouldn't even took two breaths of ti for him to reach infinitely close to the Eldertail Snake.

He didn't use the Blood Manipulatiom Bloodline skill to deal with it because it might be ineffective against the beast that was covered in strong and sturdy scale from head to tail.

Even if it wasn't ineffective, it would be insufficient.

For the sa reason, he didn't bombard it with Soul Power.

He also had one more an of long-ranged attack, but using it against the Eldertail Snake would be the height of folly.

After all, Val had co all the way here despite all the risks involved for its scales, but the Hellish Fist would reduce it to ashes.

Thus, no natter what, he couldn't use it.

In the end, he resorted to finishing the beast the old fashioned way. Voidslayer could bypass all defense because it was engraved with spatial runes. Val would only need one attack to strike it dead with his sword, and it wouldn't even be hard.

The snake, watching him draw closer, grew more troubled.

'I can't allow him to get any closer to .'

The Eldertail Snake was clear in its heart that if Val bridged the gap between them then all that awaits it would be death. Its eyes brimd up with malevolence and it opened its mouth wide.

It decided to use up its trump card as not only was it pissed off by his attitude, but it was also scared for its life.

The Eldertail Snake didn't have a poison sack, but every drop of their essence blood could be converted into a highly toxic globe of poison.

Essence blood was akin to its vitality. Exhausting it ant irreversible damage. Once its reserve of essence blood was exhausted, it would age rapidly, and its strength would permanently decrease.

Its level would drop significantly.

Recovery would be impossible.

It would have to start from scratch.

But considering the situation, it had no other choice. It had to part with its essence blood if it wanted to survive. There was no other way.

And it was also clear that if it didn't make a imdiate choice, it would be too late to regret.

"You brought this upon yourself. I will send you to hell!" the Eldertail Snake hissed, spitting out dozens of burning poison globs as it spoke.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Shua! Shua!

These globs were so fast they pierced through the wind. Undoubtedly, they were faster than a bullet launched from a gun. On top of being ridiculously fast, they were so toxic that the air around them seed to sizzle, as if warning that they could dissolve flesh to nothingness in seconds.

Dozens of them ca flying towards Val. It was a lethal rain that left no room for evasion, or so it seed.

'They are faster than anything I've ever seen. Even Level 5 bloodline users might not necessarily be able to dodge them.'

Val's eyes narrowed to slits.

He knew that with his current speed dodging the Eldertail Snake's most fierce move was impossible.

'I need to speed up,'

Thus, he decided to increase his speed on the spot by activating his Blood Rush Bloodline skill.

As it activated, his agility points surged to a 100 point in an instant, causing him to beco insanely fast.

The surge was too sudden and too great!

He beca so fast that it was simply impossible for the Eldertail Snake's eyes to keep up with him.

Val moved with such speed he seed to defy the very laws of physics.

The Eldertail Snake was taken aback as Val's figure blurred out of existence.

He hadn't actually disappeared.

He was just moving so fast that it gave off the illusion that he had teleported.

In actuality, Val dodged each glob of poison that the snake had spat out by darting left and right with extraordinary nimbleness.

At the sa ti, he shortened the distance between him and his adversary.

The Eldertail Snake's eyes widened beyond belief, almost popping out of their sockets, its tongue lolling out in utter disbelief. When it saw Val's figure reappearing just 20 feet away from it, the truth of the matter was finally exposed to it.

'How can this be?!'

The Eldertail snake thought.

It was utterly shocked.

After all, Val navigated the lethal storm that cost it all of its essence blood as if it were child's play.

It had never expected this.

Its trump card, which could kill beasts 10 levels above it, failed to even put a scratch on Val.
