What if he shared her concerns to his parents or siblings?
Evelyn realised that he had every other reason with himself to rely on her concerns to the concerned family mbers.
By that ti I would have realised that Lucas had already turned around and started to clear the dishes away into the dishwasher.
Sighted in confliction, she just went back to eat her food which was now cold but left a horrible taste in her mouth but respecting it, Evelyn wiped the plate clean before placing it into the dishwasher.
By the ti she did that Lucas was already gone. Evelyn went back to her room before she realised that this was the apartnt of soone else and she was supposed to get her stuff from upstairs where she had been attached last night.
With a small sigh, Evelyn wondered if he was supposed to say goodbye to Lucas or just move out of the house without a word to him but that would seem rude. . . Because at the end of the day Lucas had given them a room in his house.
She knew where his room was so she went there and knocked on the door twice before look is opened it with a bathrobe wrapped around him.
"I was going back up the change my clothes," she told him, "thank you for allowing to stay here."
Lucas raised an eyebrow. "Thank-you? I have to keep my brother and you are under my roof until the ti called for it. I have no problem if you bring your clothes down for a week or two."
So he was alright with having her stay with him for another week or two?
"Did the don ask you to say that?" She asked, slightly concerned if he was willingly wanting her to stay with him or not.
Lucas chuckled and shook his head in amusent. "No, Salvatore did not ask to say that, nor did he command to let you stay here. But this one is safe because I do not have a huge ass window as a wall."
Which was very much true. I like Salvatore who had a huge wall made out of glass overlooking the entire City. It was not the sa with Lucas who had normal sized windows.
And about what Lucas said Evelyn did not have the mind to go back to the apartnt where she had been attacked previously. She could still imagine the dead eyes and the flashed constantly in front of her as if she was still staring at him.
Maybe it was not the best idea to go upstairs and just say there. Perhaps a change of scenery was required.
"I appreciate the offer and I would love to take it up." She smiled. "I will co back after I pack so stuff."
Lucas replied, "Julian is standing outside as the guard. He will follow you in the apartnt and make sure you let him take care of your bags and let him check the entire apartnt before you enter. Alright?"
No wonder the siblings changed according to the needs of the situation. When Lucas said that he seed pretty form on it just like any of his brother’s or like the man and his family.
Giving her agreent to what he said everything moved out of his apartnt and into the left. When Lucas said that Julian was going to be waiting for her he was outside the apartnt just as told to her. He followed her into the lift too.
"Please wait here madam," Julian said just as the lift stopped in front of the floor on the top, "I and the other guards are going to check inside."
Evelyn gave an not in agreent and Julian walked out of the lift which closed behind him making Evelyn alone inside the tal walls.
Maybe Evelyn should have gone with him because being alone in a lift did not seem like the best idea.
When the beat the doors opened and Julian stood with his hands clasped in front of him. "Everything is alright, ma’am." He stepped back and allowed her inside.
For a brief mont Evelyn was going to look around but then she did not bother to and straight away walked upstairs without giving a look to the kitchen.
If she looked in the kitchen, she knew that what flashbacks she was having for the previous night were going to be a full blown panic attack now.
She opened the door to her room and pulled out the bags from her closet. She picked two of them, finding that enough otherwise she would co back later to take so more on whatever it was that she needed.
Shipping the bathroom essentials in one smaller bag than the other two before packing her clothes for at least a week. Other than that she also took her book bag which had the notes that she required to have to go to the university.
Just Evelyn rolled the bags, all four of them, out of the room Julian took them out of her hands and walked down stairs without a word.
Without a word as well from her side she followed him outside and closed the doors to the left by pressing a button without turning to look inside the house again.
Her chest felt heavy and breathing beca a little bit difficult. It was like sothing was constricting her from breathing and Evelyn could not help but bla it on her bra. Maybe the first thing she would do would be to take it off and go for sothing lighter.
When she went back to Lucas’s apartnt she did not imdiately put away the clothes into the clause but rather put out sothing that she could wear for the day before taking a bath and grabbing her book bag.
Evelyn was going to the university.
"Where are you going?" Lucas frowned from the sofa that he was sitting on. He had a cup and he had a huge frown over his face.
"To the university," Evelyn answered, "why? Is there a problem?"
Lucas tilted his head as if in confusion. "Did you ask Salvatore because he did not tell anything about you going outside. Maybe, you should take the day off and just rest?" He added a suggestion by the end of it.
Even if Evelyn wanted to consider what he said, she would always have an underlying fear in her mind that she was going to be attacked which is why the best thing to do would be to leave the house for soti.
She shook her head saying, "I think going out would be better for . Do not worry, I will not overwork myself." She joked but Lucas did not find it funny.
"No," he said straight away, "not that I don’t want you to complete your education. But after last night I really think that you should take the day off."
Evelyn stared at him before huffing. "I said that I’m not going to overwork myself. The least I do want to do is to get out of the building at the mont. Can I please do that?"
Lucas placed his cup down instead of addressing or replying to her, he moved out of the house and from what Evelyn saw he whispered sothing to Julian.
"Alright," Lucas said as he closed the door, " you can go to the university. But do not forget to hydrate yourself and eat sothing healthy."
Not wasting the ti to grab the chance that she was given, Evelyn nodded and with a small thank you to him she left the apartnt building with Julian and one other person in the car.
Finally being able to leave the house made her feel better.
The car was parked in front of the campus but after getting off Evelyn realised that it was the wrong building. Instead of moving to the building where business administration was, the driver had dropped her in front of the library.
But that was no issue because she would not mind a walk.
"Ma’am," Julian’s voice halted her as she turned around to leave,
"What?" Evelyn softly asked. Julian was not soone who initiated conversations until unless needed.
Julian stepped in, yet maintained a respectful distance, "you have been allowed to step inside the library. You have not yet received permission to go to the classrooms."
Her face turned as she gradually understood what happened. "What?" She hissed and glanced at the library. So there was a reason why she was dropped in front of the huge building.
That was what Lucas said to Julian. He had demanded him to not let her go to the classroom and instead let her stay in the library.
Of course she had said sothing like that. Evelyn should have anticipated that and she wondered how she had not thought of that. She had completely forgotten that Lucas had a small heart to heart talk with Julian.
She understood the need for Salvatore to protect her because she was her responsibility but like hell if she was giving in to Lucas’s decisions.
