"So, the man is a certified human traffickers and he is soone related to Carlo Bianchi, not only that but he has my wife at the mont."

Salvatore huffed before banging his fist on the table in his office loudly, making all the articles on the top of the table rattle and so of them fall.

"Yes sir," Michelle said, his eyes downcast to the ground and not looking at the angry don.

"A sex trafficker who we know nothing about as my fucking wife and can any of you explain why has the signal not been received yet?!"

The only thing that they were having problem in doing was receiving the signals from the transmitter that Salvatore had implanted in her spine.

Unless they received the signal, they could not move anywhere.

And until now they have not received anything clearly because the transmitter was unreachable. The tracker was simply not doing its job and they were sitting and shiting ducks.

That’s it.

That was all they could do until the tracker gave them so signal to where Evelyn was.

"I don’t know sir," The techy; Julian, said, "They must have sothing that is blocking the signals from the tracker. A jamr can do that very easily."

Salvatore snarled and within two quick steps, reached to the technician before looming over his face, " And you could not use that fucking think brain of yours to make sure that no one Jama ever stopped the trackers from sending signal? What is stupid fucking cunt are you who does not understand that I needed that tracker to be operational at all tis?!"

Julian shook, literally shook before his hands gripped the arms of the chair just to control himself and appear brave in front of the raging Don.

"Don," Dante called, " please. It will be taken care of the mont she is found and safe. For now we just have to wait for that one signal."

"And until when do I wait?" Salvatore turned to look at his consigliere. " Explain it to , Dante. If I signal does not co until an year, do I wait for an entire fucking year?"

Dante Averted his eyes and awarded them. Salvatore scoffed before moving out of the room. No one was able to give him the answers he needed and before he killed soone, it was better to get out.

He remained on the sa floor but left the area where his business was conducted.

On reaching the room of the little girl he called as his daughter, he signalled out to the nanny who left imdiately before he sat down next to his daughter on her play mat.

"Hey,"

Arabella looked up, "hello papa." She whispered with a slight slur that ca with her age. "Mama?" She looked up again, This ti questioningly.

Even his two year old daughter was intelligent enough to understand that Evelyn was not inside the house. When it was not her mother Who had woken her up, prepared her for the day and was unable to be found in the entire house, Arabella concluded that Mumma was not at ho.

"Mumma will be here soon." Salvatore answered. "What did you have for breakfast?"

"Gelato." She answered with an Italian dialect that he loved. Arabella was growing closer to Italy and he loved every bit of it.

"Pistachio?"

"Yummy," she grinned before placing a finger in front of her lips, "shh, don’t tell mummy!"

He grinned, even though his heart pumped ferociously because Evelyn was still sowhere unknown. He tapped her nose, "as you wish."

Even though she was playing with huge building blocks, bigger than her little hands she still wanted to be closer to him and ended up climbing on the lap of a father before playing with such concentration that she almost forgot he was there.

Salvatore kept his hand on her little back. Patting it as if reminding her that he was there but instead had been doing it for his own contentnt. He was patting her back to remind himself that she was there, Arabella was still with him. Soone he needed to protect and soone he needed to think with a sane mind for.

"Lunch?" He asked her, after glancing at the clock. In Evelyn’s absence, she did not want Arabella to feel like she had been completely abandoned and trusted into the hands of the maids.

"No.." she whispered, "gelato?"

Salvatore gulped at the hopeful expression and the little pouty face sitting in his lap. Sohow he knew he needed help.

"One more bite for Papa," Alexis mimicked the action herself as Arabella took the bite from the spoon. "Good, now for grandpapa."

Salvatore gave a relieved sigh when the food bowl was completely empty. It had taken him 30 minutes to make Arabella eat one spoon where as, Alexis, his mother, had had Arabella polish the entire bowl in fifteen.

"Hey," she whispered and ca to sit down next to him. Whenever situations like this happened, his mother seed to have aged 20 years in a day. " why don’t you go to your office and think of sothing? I know you want to spend ti with the baby but your mind is running in different directions and I would rather have you concentrate on one, my child."

"There is nothing I can do as of now." He answered. "Absolutely fucking nothing."

As much as he hated to admit, at the end of the day when he did not know wherever it was even after having a tracker inside her pissed him off to no limits. He could kill if he got his hands on anyone which is why he was keeping himself with the baby. Soone he loved and cared for truly and could not bear being hurt.

"Hmm," Alexis nodded and casually leaned over the table where Arabella was playing with the bowl before wiping her face.

"There was always one problem that you had when we were younger, when you had one direction to follow you would always follow that direction and no one else."

A little annoyed with the cryptic ssage, Salvatore huffed, "what does that have to do with anything?"

"If whatever you are looking for is not working, the street caras were working for sure." She smiled secretly, "and the hotel caras and building caras wherever the car that took her went, all the caras were working and you have not yet looked there. Have you?"

He fucking had not.
