Of course he had a cock piercing and of course she was not sorry about that.

And to her defence, why would even think of him having a piercing in the most intimate and sensitive area known or a man?

If Marcello had done this just for the sake of being abducted then he had played the right ga and the right hand because he had certainly won.

Evelyn’s eyes lowered before she finally closed to them and exhaled a long breath. Just like there was a day for every criminal to be caught, her day had also co and she was no less than a criminal.

Slowly, she turned around and started to walk towards the living room. At this mont Evelyn regretted that she had chosen a small apartnt. If she had chosen a bigger one, then maybe she would have had enough ti to think about a solution but now, just as she exited her room with two steps she ca into the living room.

Hence, having no ti to think about anything because the mont she exited her bedroom she was already in the living room.

The don kept on sitting on the sa spot where he had commanded her to free his brother.

His brother was standing behind him like a Hitman ready to kill evelyn if need be.

"How have you been?" Salvatore asked in his neutral voice devoid of any emotion and did not raise his eyes from the table where he was staring at, making Evelyn look at both the brothers to find who the don was addressing.

"Good," Marcello replied as he cracked his neck from left to right. "It felt good to catch up on my sleep." He did not look better though.

"Hmm," Salvatore huffed before his eyes raised to her son. Holding the stare, he addressed her, "and how have you been?"

"M-?" She pointed to herself and from the corner of her if she could see Marcelo nod and confirm her suspicions.

"Good," she whispered the word in a hurry.

"Really?" His eyes flickered to her stomach and then back at her.

Now she understood what he ant and what was the purpose behind him asking how her health was.

She was not talking about her health rather the health of a woman and sothing that ca out of it.

Even though she was looking at Salvatore, Evelyn was very much aware of Marcello looking at her and he knew exactly what she wanted to hide and lie about.

"I-I.." she stamred and fell short of words. Evelyn had gotten so used to lying in these two years and a few months that the lie always stayed on the tip of her tongue ready to be out.

But now none of it ca and formulated a word. Instead, all she could think of was Arabella.

The na flashed in her mind and right in front of her eyes again and again enough to make her forget everything else.

"Evelyn," she flinched at the cold voice of the youngest brother and his eyes were no different from the tone. "The don has asked you sothing."

She gulped before she shook her head negatively. She was not telling him anything. Perhaps if she died and none of them knew about Arabella she would be sent into the system and would be far better than coming into the world where she lived in.

Marcello sighed loudly and made his chest move up and down so animatedly that Evelyn found it to be suspicious.

"Perhaps I should call you by your na and that would make you rember a lot of things," he arched an eyebrow up, "Catherine, can you answer the question the man asked?"

Salvatore scoffed a laugh and that was probably the first ti he broke character and amusent shined bright in his eyes. "Is that the na she ca up with?"

Marcello nodded before he answered, "indeed, she did."

Talking about her choice and deaning it in front of her made her feel impossibly small and humiliated.

It made her eyes and face burn with humiliation as she felt that an embarrassed blush spread through her neck and face.

"You should hear the second na she chose," Marcello continued, "her na is Catherine Vancouver."

"And has no one ever doubted her intentions with that na?" Salvatore tsked and shook his head. "Perhaps this is why people get murdered in the first place. They never look for the right flags."

The fact that Salvatore was hinting at her like soone who had no intentions did not sit well with her when she rembered what she had done in the small town that he had shifted to before this one.

She had murdered soone and what did not help was him unknowingly throwing accusations out in the air.

But the question was that he really did not know or was he trying accusations purposely into the dark knowing that one of them would hit the mark.

By now Evelyn was sure that Heather would have found the dead body of her friend and the first thing that she would have gone through would be the details that he provided which ant that he would be found by his family sooner and definitely by now.

"I have not forgotten that you did not answer my question," Salvatore said in one breath, "just because you have been my wife does not an the rules are not the sa for you."

There was sothing so wrong about the last sentence. The way it was frad to make it seem like their marriage was out of compulsion or rather forced then what they had willingly agreed upon.

"I.." she started and licked her lower lip of nervousness, "I’m.."

"The amount of blood that I found that day on the stairs was alarming." Salvatore’s eyes were trained on a spot on the wall and the words chilled her soul. "I wondered if it survived or not." His head tilted to the side, "did it?"
