A MONTH LATER.

They were running around to find the perfect dress.

"I don’t get it!" Bella threw her hands in the air in frustration. "Why can’t we find your perfect dress? At this point we cannot even have it made!’

Evelyn sighed in exhaustion. "I don’t know. I just wanted a traditional dress. These are all too modern or just. . ." She wanted to day revealing but that was sothing she did not want to say that was against her code.

Alright wearing revealing wedding dresses that showed deep cleavage. On the other hand Evelyn wanted sothing that was similar to what her mother wore. A traditional dress that made her feel like a princess on her wedding day.

Maybe because that was exactly what her mother wore and it might be the reason for Evelyn to find so kind of connection to her mother on her wedding day but she was not backing out of this one.

"But if we continue at this rate, we are not going to find a good dress." Alexis sighed as well as she flipped through the pages of the catalogue. "We could actually have your dress custom made if you want that. I am sure people would love to do that for you."

No, people would not like to do that for Evelyn. They would love to do that for the Alessandro family and make up with them.

It would be the perfect opportunity for them to co in terms with the family and actually climb up the pedestal.

Evelyn gave her a nod but seed hesitant in doing so. "I don’t want to give the dress in the making so soon, otherwise I might see a dress that I like and want to buy it. On the other hand if I don’t give it to them early enough I might end up with nothing."

"shit," Bella cursed. "I swear to God at this rate we are going to end up with nothing!"

"Can we stop that?" Alexis snapped at her daughter. " Do you rember when it was the ti of your wedding how many stores had you dragged us to? Did I go around sighing and huffing and puffing in exhaustion wherever you took to?"

When Bella did not reply in embarrassnt Alexis still did not cut so slack for her daughter, "Exactly, Bella Rosa. So please try to be accommodating to so extent."

Bella nodded and walked deeper into the store where thousands of dresses were kept. Evelyn slouched against the seat on the couch that they were sitting on.

After she had told Salvatore that she had accepted his proposal, or the one that had been offered by his father, the next day she had seen Angelo sitting on the couch offering his blessings for the union.

That might have been the scariest part of accepting the proposal. If anything, Evelyn knew that many questions were coming her way.

She was never told whom it was that had offered for her to marry their son and by the looks of it Salvatore would probably never tell her that.

Apart from that ca the wedding planning that was sothing that Evelyn had no experience in and apparently this was the most difficult part after saying yes.

Or maybe, as she would now like to add, the choosing of the wedding dress.

"I think we should just leave." She muttered to Alexis who was still looking through the catalogues. Still slouching against the chair Evelyn muttered, "maybe I can take so catalogues ho and have them sent to so that I can look them over and decide what I want."

Alexis calmly closed the book as if she had been through the similar situation many tis. Once she had done that she turned to look at Evelyn who was sitting on the couch right beside her, "if that is what you want that I have no problem with that. But if you still want to go to the stores there is still a month left and we can get it altered in a day."

Perks of having money and power.

Evelyn just sighed loudly. "It has been hours since we have been here. I honestly cannot take it anymore Alexis." She revealed the information on being almost on the verge of crying.

She had been here for the longest ti of her life in high heels and in dresses, standing and changing so frequently into new dresses very carefully so that she would not buy any of them and have them on her credit card.

"Hmm," Alexis handed her a glass of wine. "Maybe next ti we could bring Nikita. She is good at this."

Evelyn agreed to that. She rely agreed to that because she wanted to be out of the store as soon as possible. After Bella Rosa joined them all three of them over the three different cars ready to go on their separate ways.

Evelyn was going to the apartnt where she was supposed to shift from next month into the house of his parents. Since Evelyn did not have any family mbers left that she would like to invite, staying at his family ho made more sense to her than anything.

The mont you step inside the building and behind the closed doors, She did not mind the receptionist’s eyes and took off her heels before casually walking barefooted into the lift.

With her back against the steel wall of the left Evelyn patiently looked at the numbers changing until the door to the penthouse appeared and she had to see the password in.

It was then just as the doors opened and she looked inside to walk in the apartnt Salvatore appeared to be standing there.

She chuckled and a full blown smile ca to her face. Salvatore leaned into the lift to pull her by her hand and to his chest.

"Missed you," he muttered into her hair as he hugged her tightly.

Evelyn smiled. She did too.
