The phoenix continent.
This was the first continent Palkus had walked in without a smile on his face, and he sohow felt that it wouldn't be the last; however, there was still so hope.
He and Azeroth, who was always by his side, looked at the continent that was full of mountains and no greenery and thought to themselves that phoenixes indeed had no sense of beauty.
Their houses were in the form of holes and caves, they and their families sought refuge there and only ca out to hunt for their food.
One thing that is quite civilized as a building is the castle of the empress herself.
The Empress and her family are the only ones to take human form and their castle is huge enough to act as a little city where only the nobles and royals are allowed access.
This was all there is to the phoenix continent.
There pretty much wasn't really anything to do, but Palkus still had to co to fulfill his conditions and evolve.
If last ti he wasn't in the mood to go directly and kill the vampire primogenitor, then right now, he was in no mood to waste ti.
"Where do we go?" Azeroth asked as he looked at Palkus.
Palkus was flying in the air, his gaze cold, and staring directly at the direction of the castle, where he could sense the most powerful energy.
"The castle."
"Very well." Azeroth agreed and the two of them appeared right above it.
"Empress of the Phoenix Empire, I, Palkus G. Valenstein, challenge you to a battle."
Palkus words indeed stood true, as he wasted no ti to challenge the Empress to a battle.
And what emperor wouldn't accept a challenge?
Indeed, the second the empress heard Palkus' voice, she replied back.
"Hmph, to dare and challenge the empress of this place." From the castle, a pillar of blue fire shot out before the empress appeared in a similarly colored dress.
A burning blue flower adorned her as if she were wearing an imperial dress. Her beauty knew no bound and it indeed was enough to make Azeroth regret that such a being would have to die today.
"Palkus G. Valenstein, huh? I heard a lot about you, young man; you just dealt with that bat bastard and moved on to ? Heh." The empress laughed.
"I guess I have to be scared for my own life." She smiled as she said.
"How about this? I can give you my daughter's hand in marriage. She's going to beco the next empress in but 2 years, wouldn't that be enough for you?" She suggested.
This was at first, Palkus' plan, but he would have only seen it as the better option if he wasn't married to Emily.
"I'm sorry but I have to refuse." Palkus
"Very well, then. A battle it is." She was an empress, and as the ruler of an entire continent, she couldn't keep refusing. Though she knew that there was a high chance of her losing, she tried to suggest a better plan for herself, but, he refused.
"I will show you the might of our phoenix clan." She said as her blue fire flower dress exploded for her to show her true form.?
The form of an empress phoenix wasn't the sa as the others but one could guess how it would be just from her blue flas.
Eternally burning fire with mystical colors, a huge body beyond anything Palkus had seen until now, and a crown of unprecedented glory stood atop her head.
The two eyes of the phoenix empress gazed at Palkus with pride.
"Co, young one. Let this be a glorious battle to be rembered." The empress said.
Palkus looked at her and, without speaking, agreed.
The battle between them wouldn't be as grand as the phoenix empress hoped. After all, she couldn't be said to surpass the strength of the vampire primogenitor, yet he was still defeated without Palkus even having to do much; thus, her end could be guessed.
She was lucky, however, that once she was defeated, Palkus didn't kill her, and let her cope with her own defeat.
Though, while they were fighting, and unbeknownst to all, there was a lone warrior who was watching everything from afar.
His red hair was not unfamiliar, and his gaze that was looking at Palkus with a knowing light was also very similar to that of Draco's.
This was one of the student's that had been under Draco's control back when he was nothing but a Mana Kythnos, back when he was leveling up with the students of the celestial academy, the sa academy that ant nothing currently due to his stature.
The dark healer who was so trusted nobody even doubted him until they saw the light of reincarnation, Maximilian, the red-haired traveler.
Maximilian, this na, was quite briefly ntioned, but not by the mouths of the academy students but by those of Emily and her mother, Palkus' wife and mother-in-law.
But was it really the sa person? The description was the sa: red hair and the eyes that shone so brightly.
Had Palkus laid a gaze on him, he would feel so familiar that he would imdiately spot him, even though he had never seen him in person.
That was because the similarity between the father and the daughter was so high.
It has to be known that those who had been controlled by Draco's strings, especially those who were favored, like the leader of the faction and Maximilian himself, were fully autonomous.
Even David, and Marco the saint were but clones of Draco but their personalities were quite the sa as they previously were.
That is because Draco hated being anybody else other than himself, not to ntion that these were the kind of people he held respect for.
Maximilian, after graduating from the academy, led an entire life as a traveler, and his story was sothing worth ntioning.
But, what was more important was the eting at hand.
