The sound of a beeping monitor.
Slowly, his eyes opened, and an illumination of blue flashed in the dical room as he sat down upright, faster than a human could blink.
“Where…where I’m I.” Zeras mused loudly, feeling a bit groggy in his head as he slowly took in the mories of his last scene.
“Not to worry, you’re in good hands.” The voice echoed out to him, one from a female instructor, dressed in an EIA unform.
“Uh?”
Suddenly she leaned in, her face a centiter from his as she gave him a deep scrutinizing gaze, particularly his forehead before stepping backwards
“You’re back in the EIA training base and this is the hospital.”
“Phew, finally back ho…” Zeras said with a smile, his hands reaching for the strange ropes holding him tightly to the bed.
“It was said there was so little mishap on your way back. You released a massive amount of energy from your body, tearing through the steel of the plane and smashing into a 500-ter-tall mountain, and strangely survived.
“Lady Luck must have been a past family mber of mine, huh?” Zeras said chuckling a bit as he untied the band wrapped around his arm.
“It was also reported that there was the presence of a strange devilish-looking stone on your forehead that spread dark tattoos all over your body. Care to explain the cause of that abnormality?” She asked, her gaze intensifying on him.
“A stone on my forehead. Hmm, hmm, I don’t an to be disrespectful but isn’t this the EIA Hospital? If there’s a strange stone on my forehead, I believe from the EIA reputation that you would have found it out imdiately, right?” Khan asked drawing so type of prideful look on Sophia’s face.
‘Perhaps, Kenji got drunk again…’ She thought to herself still rembering the frightful expression of the fatty who seed to have seen a ghost.
“Lastly, when you ca in you were strangely ‘molting’.”
“Molting?” Zeras asked raising an eyebrow.
“Yes. Like a snake shedding its skin. Your body was shedding its skin too. Your entire body turned whiter and you grew, um, more handso.”
“Oh, isn’t that right…” Zeras said as he winked at her, her face gaining a shade of pink before she quickly regained herself.
“Lastly, why do you radiate such massive amounts of energy and tear open a hole in the spaceship?
“I made a small mishap in my cultivation Technique and absorbed in more mana than my body could take causing to lose control of it and it went haywire. I had to release the energy to avoid exploding. It was a pretty chaotic mont. You understand what I an, right?” Zeras asked as he stood up fully, pursing his lips at the soft blue shirt and trousers on his body.
Not exactly what he wore in here.
“Um, doctor. What happened to my EIA uniform…” Zeras said with a suspicious expression on his face as he looked at the lady.
“I have no idea what you’re saying. After all, you ca in here butt-naked.”
“What the!!?” Zeras jumped up in shock, hands on his crotch as he gave a hateful stare at the lady.
‘Tch, don’t tell she saw everything, including my ding-dong too…’ Zeras said gnashing his teeth furiously as he scurried off to the door, his head turning a shade of red.
“Also, it’s been three days since you’ve been unconscious. Are you sure you’re feeling completely well?”
“Don’t worry doctor. I’m feeling great. Thanks for your GREAT CARE…” Zeras said, emphasizing the last words.
“Don’t thank I’m just doing MY JOB..” Sophia replied as she watched the boy give her a hateful look before slamming the door shut.
“Tch, what a shaless nurse…” Zeras mused loudly only to raise an eyebrow as he saw the group of three on the bench at his side, already dozing off.
It was none other than Quinn, Vornek, and Triton.
“What are they doing there?” Zeras thought before walking towards them as he gave a good kick in Quinn’s legs.
“You piece of blind trash, got a blindfold on your eyes? Um, Zeras?” Quinn asked as Zeras looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
“Dummy, you’re the one with a blindfold on your eyes” He mocked rcilessly as he felt a hand clamp tightly on his shoulder.
“I’m glad you’re okay, We already prepared a big lunch for your return only to hear there was a mishap on your way and you’re now in the hospital.”
‘Awww…’ Zeras thought to himself as he felt his heart lting.
“Phew, I thought that would be the end of your legends…” Vornek finished as Zera’s face dropped turning away his gaze to look at the white haired alien.
“Hey, Triton, how are you doing?”
“Clearly better than you are.” The young Elvian replied, a bright smile on his face.
“What’s wrong with your eyes anyway, they seed to be glowing…” Zeras said as he looked at Triton’s eyes which had a strange dot that sparkled with multitudes of light.
“Nah, it’s nothing. It’s due to my breakthrough to the teor rank stage.” Triton answered causing a slight shock to Zeras.
“Wow, that’s cool.”
“And what’s up with your pretty face? Does your mission have to do with plastic surgery or sothing? You look like a professional whore…” Triton said chuckling.
It was true, the Zeras In front of him right now was devilishly handso. One of the most handso humans he had ever t.
“I broke through to the teor rank stage too. Guess we’re all on the sa footing right now?” Zeras said with a prideful smirk but all he got was Triton and Vornek looking at him strangely.
“What?”
“Quinn already broke through to the Peak teor rank stage!”
“What the!” Zeras turned to look at him who was scratching the back of his head with a wry smile on his face.
“A breakthrough from Early teor rank to Peak teor rank. All in less than a week! Monster! Absolute Monster!” Zeras said out loud, pure shock in his eyes.
“I’m sure we can have our conversation well at a later ti. But this place stinks of death. You also need to get your rest, Zeras…” Triton said as Zeras felt him looking slightly discomforted at the area.
‘He can sll death aura? How strange…’ He thought to himself as the small group of four dragged each other away from the hospital.
“He’s back, my lord…” The voice rang from a young man sitting around ten ters away from the group of four who spoke into the watch on his wrist.
“Good. Now the plan can begin!”
