The moment I arrived within the periphery of Thunder Peak, my control over the atmosphere faltered..
"Fucking shit..." I cursed, almost falling to what would’ve been an extremely unpleasant collision..
"What the hell?" I was confused, it felt like my authority over the atmosphere had been stripped by something more POWERFUL..

I didn’t have time to ponder for long, the ungodly screech I’d heard earlier resounded once more, and this time the atmosphere responded..

I could feel a suffocating might pressing all around me...

For the first time ever, I’d finally felt what my foes felt when I used
on them..
It felt like the surrounding air was actively against me, breathing got difficult. The raging storms seemed to have found a target as a thick bolt of lightning decended straight for my head...

I didn’t want to test my regeneration against lightning.
I moved before the attack struck true...

The attack found nothing but empty air...
As I looked towards the point of collision "Hsssssss" I couldn’t help sucking in a deep breath...
A massive crater spanning over 10 meters wide gaped right at the spot lightning had struck...

The sounds of something beating against the wind reached my ears..
The all encompassing presence falling even harder on me.
I willed my talent further, forcefully ripping control over the atmospheric forces surrounding the few centimeters around my body, it was all I could manage before IT appeared...

The churning clouds parted as something decended from within..
"Oh My..." I was struck speechless..
Before all this, I’d expected the creature to be daunting, menacing.
But not... this..
The creature before me was unlike anything I could’ve expected...
Dark grey scales glistened under the churning clouds, golden veins of energy surging through them like living circuits of electricity...
It’s reptilian body easily over 50 meters long from head to tail, jagged obsidian spikes ran along the length of its back.
It’s scaly head bearing vicious dagger like teeth, slotted eyes staring down at me with cold indifference..
It’s forelimbs attached to it’s leathery wings beat softly as the muscular hind limbs looked capable of tearing through whatever was dumb enough to stand before it..
Regardless, the worse of all was definitely its aura.
It was feral, regal, DOMINANT. It pressed down on me with crushing force... the moment it appeared, it felt like the entire atmosphere had bowed before its true king and I was just a poser using something I never earned....
"Well...shit". I knew this was going to be different..
My sky high stats didn’t give me any reassurance, not here, not with this..

My consciousness almost winking out...
I could feel my regenerative and adaptive abilities immediately being shot into overdrive....
One move...the creature hadn’t even struck personally... One freaking move and I was almost unalived by this thing...
"Well fuck me..." I groaned, regaining my balance within the air..

The atmosphere shifted, my control somewhat restoring, it was nothing more than the 5 meters around me, but it was enough..
surged through my veins, the talent being pushed into overdrive...
This wasn’t the time to be testing waters, I was going to get myself killed if I held back..
Done with all my activities, I launched forward...

I manifested before the beast in a fury of rage and carnage...
My fist cocked back, then,

A concussive shockwave spread out from the impact of my fist with the beast..

The beast was sent flying backwards with a screech of pain..
I didn’t let up..

Another punch tore out of me, as I my fist met the beast’s scaled head...
Ting!!!!!!
The impact was like colliding with indestructible steel..
Before I could get my bearings..
Fwiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!
A massive claw was already tearing through my midsection..
Splash!!!!!
Blood and organs erupted from my torso as I was sent hurtling backwards...
