Chapter 120: Chapter 119:Preparations

Academy City..

This was a city created and designed solely for the purpose of housing the world’s number one Warrior academy, Aeternum...

Over the uncountable number of years, it has ended up becoming one of the largest cities on the entire pla, it belonged to no one as the academy held full autonomy, hence it had become a neutral ground for all races to come together and interact...

Within the very heart of this city, stood the wonder of the world itself..

Aeternum..

Within the hallowed halls of this very prestigious structure, various conversations were taking place..

"The Elite Class for this year’s newest students, who are they? And how many have we managed to rope into our faction?" Within a dimly lit hall, five figures could be seen sitting around a circular table, they were three young men and two women..

The one who just spoke, was the young man sitting at the head of the table, he had black hair, black eyes and a very attractive face.

His question was met with contemplation from the others at the table..

"Well, besides your younger brother, none of the others were really people we could threaten or coerce, the little shrimps from the human continent are backed by various instructors, so coercion and threats were effectively off of the table." a reply was finally given, the speaker, a blonde woman, her pointed ears giving away her identity as an elf..

"Heh, why are we stressing with those green plants? A year at Aeternum and they’ll all come crawling back to us, your status doesn’t really hold much weight here, remember?" Another one of the five spoke up, this time it was one of the young men, he had short aurburn hair, a crazy smile was on his face as he played with a dagger..

"The others won’t just sit by and let us poach the elites anyways, this meeting holds no real value, only serving as a waste of time" the speaker this time was the third youth, a large young man that sat taller than the rest, his gigantic frame radiating pure, uncontested strength..

"What did you just say?" The leading youth asked, his voice a dangerously low growl..

"Do not throw your weight around with me, Darius, I do not fear you" the large youth spoke defiantly..

Yet before tensions could arise, a voice stepped in to mediate..

"Alright, enough" it was the last young woman, she had white hair, black eyes and a serene expression on her face..

"Since we’re already here, we might as well come up with ways to attract the top geniuses of this year to our faction, the Elite class, might be called that, but they’re just those that decided to take the easy route, there will be those among the other candidates that are just as powerful, if not more so, than the so called elites, those will be our targets" the young woman concluded...

"Humph" the large youth snorted..

"Alright, we shall commence as Mira has suggested..."

...

Conversations like these were happening everywhere within the hallowed walls belonging to each and every major faction within the academy, the enrollment ceremony were about to begin, they’d gone through these very same ceremonies a few years before, they were quite clear on what it entailed for those arriving. But more so than that, it entailed new blood for the factions within the academy..

The academy’s title of being "a graveyard for geniuses" wasn’t exaggerated in the least and these ones more than others, knew just how important it was to have the proper backing behind you during the early phases...

...

Within another hall, this one was a brighter, the occupants less brooding and more cheerful..

"Look at you, smiling like a teenager about to meet her crush" a lovely teasing voice sounded, its target, the smiling red haired woman that had her hands on her chin, her expression lost and cheerful, clearly she was daydreaming about something delightful..

"If the academy saw their oh so beautiful and regal flame queen acting so lovey dovey, I dread the number of hearts that would be shattered instantly" another voice sounded, equally teasing, equally lovely..

The speaker, a dark skinned elf with skin so black, it looked like midnight, the glossy sheen of her skin refracted the light softly, giving her a beautiful glow, her Snow White hair, stood in stark contrast to her skin, framing a face so enchanting, it no doubt has caused it’s fair share of madness, her golden eyes stared with a teasing glint as she regarded the woman next to her..

"Our little Melissa is in love..., I wonder who the unlucky guy is" the first voice laughed softly, it belonged to an elf of equally black skin, white hair with blackened ends and golden eyes..

From the uncanny resemblance they had, their identity as twins was made clear.

The only thing differentiating them, being the fact that one had a black tint in her hair and the other didn’t, well that and their drastically different sense of fashion..

"You two are just mean, but I don’t blame you, it happens when you’re single for too long" Melissa finally snapped out of her dreamy state, not letting the teasing of the two continue for long..

"Oho? That’s quite low, little Mel" the elf with the pure white hair clutched her chest in mock hurt..

"Well, I’m the one choosing to be single, if I wanted a man in my bed, a word would be enough" the other twin, the one with the blackened tips, spoke up in her defense, giving a lazy shrug..

"Yea, tell me that when crazy here, doesn’t pull out their eyeballs first" Melissa rolled her eyes as she directed a pointed look at the elf with pure white hair...

"Hey!! It’s not my fault men are disgusting creatures that don’t know when to stay their eyes" she responded defensively..

"Sure, Khali, you keep telling yourself that, I’m sure you won’t end up single forever" Melissa wasn’t having it..

"Humph, this young lady is every man’s dream, I’ll have you know" the elf, Khalifa, snorted..

"Of course, if that man had multiple screws loose and a fetish for crazy women with weapon obsessions, then yea, you’ll definitely be his dream girl" her twin joined in the fun..

"Kaila!!!!! To think I’d be betrayed by my own twin, I knew it, life was nothing but pain and suffering" she flopped down exaggeratedly..

Kaila and Melissa just laughed at her antics...

"But no, seriously Mel, who is this guy? You’ve been swooning ever since you came back from visiting your mum and you’ve refused to tell us anything" the elf with pure white hair, khalifa, asked, not bothering to adjust her posture, leaving all her blessed proportions on display..

"Hehehe.. don’t worry, he’ll be arriving with the newest batch of students, you ladies can see him then" Melissa remained tight lipped...

"Oh? If he’s as awesome as you’re making him out to be, why wasn’t he part of the Elite

class?" Kaila, the other twin asked..

"Because D hates anything that isn’t fun, taking a bye would’ve been a boring event"..

"Did you say fun?" Khalifa practically bounced up in excitement..

"How fun are we talking here?, is it "I’ll crush you to dust" type of fun, or "i’ll annihilate your entire bloodline" type of fun"" her golden eyes were sparkling as she indulged in thoughts of violence, her breath turning heavy..

"Ahh... she’s spiraling again" her twin, Kaila, shook her head helplessly..

"Well, depending on the situation, he can easily be both" Melissa replied..

Ooohhhhhhh....

"Look what you did.. you broke my sister" Kaila complained softly..

Melissa merely chuckled, finding her friend’s reaction still understated..

"Just wait till you meet D, I’ll love to watch how he breaks you slowly" a sly smirk curled up her lips, her gaze shifting subtly to the other twin that just watched her sister with a placid gaze as if contemplating life itself..

"Both of you.. hehehehe"..

Her red eyes glowed subtly as she imagined thoughts that weren’t entirely safe for her friends...

A/N: hold up, did I miss something? Since when was Mel this psycho? Playing match maker for Dante now? Hold up a goddamn minute..
