Pyris imdiately beckoned her over, eyes gleaming. "Yes, big sister! Alexandra here is—"

Aurelia's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Lex. You're bullying my little brother?"

Alexa, for the first ti, hesitated.

Alera? Laughing so hard she was choking.

Emilia? Watching with gleeful curiosity.

Pyris whipped around, relief dawning on his face. Aurelia. The tsundere was here.

"Oh, finally," he breathed, breaking away from Ammit just enough to beckon Aurelia closer. "Big sister! You ca at the perfect ti. Alexandra here is—"

Alexa folded her arms. "Trying to get so answers."

Aurelia arched an eyebrow, looking between them. "Lex, you're just bullying my little brother. Tell I'm wrong." She asked again.

Pyris nodded enthusiastically. "Exactly! You see—"

"She's interrogating him about his Serenova princess, Pyris apparently seduced her." Emberly cut in smoothly, sipping her tea.

Silence.

Aurelia's head snapped back toward Pyris.

"…Your what?"

Pyris' soul nearly left his body. He was about to fumble through so half-baked excuse—anything to deflect the impending doom—but the universe, rcifully or cruelly, had other plans.

A portal suddenly ripped open mid-air, splitting the very fabric of the room with a sharp, guttural crack. Energy surged, the atmosphere thickening as three figures were spat out with forceful precision.

Oh, please, Pyris thought, pulse spiking. Let it just be—

It was.

Nysa. Zara. And—Ammit.

The shift in the room was imdiate. The weight of their arrival settled like gravity pulling tighter, and suddenly, nothing else mattered.

Ammit's eyes locked on him first. Everything else—Aurelia's interrogation, Alexa's looming threat, Emberly's silent amusent—ceased to exist. The mont Nysa, Zara, and Ammit materialized in the living room, the air shifted. Pyris barely had ti to register their presence before Ammit's golden eyes locked onto him.

As if everything else in the room had ceased to exist.

She didn't speak. She didn't hesitate. One second, she stood at the entrance, regal and composed, and the next—she was in front of him, arms wrapping around his waist, pulling him into a crushing embrace. Pyris barely had a chance to breathe before she pressed herself against him, her warmth, her scent, her sheer presence overwhelming.

"I am here, I your arms, Pyris," she murmured against his chest, voice softer than he had ever heard it. "Finally."

For weeks, she had been busy. Off tending to his own affairs, handling matters beyond his reach in his stead, and though Pyris would never say it outright—he had missed her. More than he cared to admit.

His arms ca around her, hands settling against the curve of her back. Solid. Real. He exhaled, pressing his forehead lightly against the top of her head. "You didn't even tell you were coming."

Ammit huffed, squeezing him tighter. "Would you have waited patiently if I did?"

"...Probably not." Continue your adventure with My Virtual Library Empire

Pyris exhaled slowly, his gaze landing on Alexa. He wasn't stupid—he could piece things together. She had been the one to arrange this.

He smirked, tilting his head slightly. "You brought her, didn't you?"

Alexa, ever unbothered, shrugged lightly, but there was a pleased glint in her eyes. "What can I say? I figured you'd sulk if you had to wait much longer."

He scoffed, but his gratitude was genuine. "Thank you, Lex. I was going to send Mira, but—you knew.""

Alexa's lips curved into a small smile. "Don't ntion it. After all... We're all yours, after all. Sisters, in our own ssed-up way."

His gaze then moved to Zara and Nysa. "And you two—thank you for bringing her back."

Nysa nodded in acknowledgnt, a subtle exchange passing between her and Alexa. It was quick, almost unnoticeable—but not to Emberly. She sipped her tea, watching the two with a knowing gleam in her eye.

Pyris then turned his attention to Zara. He didn't speak, but his expression said enough: Do we tell them?

Zara's eyes t his, cool and composed. A beat of silence.

Then, she shook her head.

Pyris had expected it, but he still gave a small nod in return.

And just like that, they all settled in. The room was full now, every space taken. Even Silent Night had found a seat—though she still positioned herself slightly away from the others, keeping that careful distance.

Still, she was here. That was sothing. At that mont Alexa stepped towards a midst Pyris' 'alleged skirt-chasing adventures' that was still thick in the air.

Pyris was backed into a corner, arms subtly raised in a defensive stance while Alexa stood before him like a divine enforcer of justice, eyes narrowed. Alera was half-lying on the couch, laughing so hard she could barely breathe, while Emilia and Silent Night watched with varying levels of amusent and pity. Emberly, for her part, had just set her cup down, utterly unbothered by her son's plight.

But then—because the universe had zero rcy left for him—Aurelia's voice cut through again.

"…I still haven't forgotten about the princess comnt."

Pyris stiffened like he'd been struck by lightning.

"Oh, this is going to be good," Alexa muttered under her breath, arms folding with smug satisfaction.

Zara took in the scene, blinked, then turned to Nysa and Ammit. "Are we interrupting sothing… or is this normal?"

Ammit, already tired from the morning's events back in her territory, Sunstone Empire, just sighed. "Normal, I assu."

Pyris latched onto the newcors like a lifeline. "Ah, finally! A distraction!" He strode past Alexa—wisely using Zara as a human shield—and clapped a hand on Nysa's shoulder. "Welco! Glad you're here. So good to see you."

Nysa tilted her head, looking entirely too entertained. "I feel like I've walked into sothing and he's using as a distraction."

"You have," Alera called from the couch, wiping away a tear. "We were just learning about Pyris' long list of conquests. Apparently, he's been too busy collecting admirers to actually train."

Zara's eyebrows shot up. "Oh? That is interesting."

"I—" Pyris started, but Alexa cut him off.

"Oh, no, don't backpedal now, Mr. Lust Dragon. Tell them about your little Serenova princess."

Ammit, who had been half-tuning everything out, suddenly perked up. "Serenova? As in Selene Serenova?"

Pyris froze. Traitor. TRAITORS, ALL OF THEM.

Emberly, ever graceful, just grinned and took another sip of tea.
