Pyris handed the real arcane gauntlet to Ammit, feeling the cold, tallic surface leave his hands as she accepted it. Her fingers lingered on his skin for a brief mont, but her focus remained on the gauntlet. As she examined the artifact, her eyes glead with a mix of greed and satisfaction.

The arcane energy pulsing through the gauntlet made it clear that it was no re replica-it was the genuine one, and Pyris had just placed incredible power back in her hands.

For a mont, Ammit looked at him with surprise. Why?

He had the real gauntlet, the item that kept her hold on power intact, and yet, he had returned it willingly. She studied his expression, realizing that this boy-this Petne Chaos-had far more intricate plans than she initially assud.

His first impression was that that assured her he could be trusted.

"You gave the real one," she remarked, her voice soft with a hint of disbelief.

Pyris nodded, a calm smile on his lips. "Of course. I'm a man of my word. Besides, our contract ensures your cooperation, and I never intended to keep the gauntlet long-term. We both know you wouldn't allow that."

Ammit tilted her head, curiosity still glinting in her eyes. "So, what exactly is your play here, then? You gave back the very thing which you don't know if I could use to betray you. What do you stand to gain?"

Pyris's smile widened slightly. "The sa thing you do... power. But power takes many forms, and sotis, it's more beneficial to build alliances than to seize control by force."

This was exactly Pyris was doing, instead of bowling it out with Ammit, he felt that the patternship is as more beneficial to her as much as it was to him.

The Sunstone Empire had so much to offer and he wasn't about to not exploit all these advantages, he could feel the hum of hidden treasures here, the promises of ruling the whole dominion in the shadows.

This was going to be his empire no matter what. It might not be imdiate but gaining control over this place was within his reach surely.

Ammit paused, processing his words. There was sothing magnetic about his confidence, his certainty that he was in control of the situation, even as he placed leverage back into her hands. Her dark eyes flickered with interest, but she still kept her guard up.

"You're a dangerous one, Petne Chaos," she said softly, almost amused. "Most n who co to take sothing from don't leave alive, much less with my favor."

Pyris chuckled. "I'm not like most n. I've co to make deals, not enemies. And I assure you, this gauntlet will find its way back to your use after I deliver a replica to the Eclipse Syndicate. We both get what we want. But don't get wrong Ammit, I'm not here to get your favor and it should be your honour that you're getting mine."

Ammit took a step closer, her presence intoxicating as her aura of power and seduction washed over him. "And if I decide to kill you here, take the gauntlet back, and end this little partnership you arrogant 'Oh Mighty Young Master!?"

Pyris's smile remained as he t her gaze. His calmness, his fearlessness-it unnerved her slightly. "You could try," he replied, his voice steady.

"But the contract we signed ensures that you'll suffer the consequences of breaking it. Not to ntion, you'd have to reveal your identity to the entire Sunstone Empire, and I'd guarantee your fall. Besides..." He leaned forward, lowering his voice slightly. "You know you can't kill . Not before I kill you first."

"You might be overthinking your Rank to think it can guarantee you survival but not when you're in my presence Ammit!"

Ammit's eyes flickered with recognition of the truth in his words. He wasn't bluffing. The aura surrounding him, the strength that lay beneath his composed exterior-it was real. She could sense it. And more than that, she could sense that soone powerful was protecting him, a force that would not let his death go unanswered.

Yet he didn't seem to be purely relying on this entity but on his own powers!

Realizing this, Ammit let out a sigh, releasing the tension in her shoulders. She knew to play smart rather than being impulsive and lose her disguise.

She had more to lose than him.

She smiled faintly, shaking her head. "You're right. I can't kill you." She twirled the gauntlet in her hand before slipping it onto her arm. The arcane energy surged to life, and her presence seed to grow even stronger, more imposing. "But I'll admit, you intrigue . Very well, Petne Chaos, we'll play your ga-for now."

Pyris gave a small nod, acknowledging her decision. "Glad we understand each other."

Ammit's gaze lingered on him for a mont longer before she spoke again. "So, what's your real na? You've seen through , and I'm curious to know who I'm truly dealing with."

Pyris exhaled softly, debating for a mont. But with the blood contract signed and their deal secured, he knew he could reveal the truth without jeopardizing his mission.

"I'm Pyris Obsidian," he said, his voice calm but firm.

Ammit's eyes widened, her mouth falling slightly open in shock. She had heard the na Pyris Obsidian whispered among the most powerful circles, but she had never expected to et him-let alone in her own bedchamber.

The pieces of the puzzle clicked into place as she realized the scope of his power and influence.

He wasn't just a cunning young man playing a dangerous ga-he was a person who was said to beco one of the most powerful players in the entire Mortal Realm in the near future.

She wasn't so sure about his actual magic prowess but his status and na suggested and commanded power!

She took a step back, her legs wobbling slightly from the revelation. "You... You're..."

Pyris moved quickly, catching her just before she stumbled, his arms wrapping around her waist, pulling her closer to him. Ammit's breath hitched as she felt his warmth against her skin, her body instinctively responding to the closeness of his presence. Continue your adventure at empire

"My real identity surprised you more than the fact that I could kill you right now?" Pyris teased softly, his breath tickling her neck as she tried to regain her composure. "Now do you believe ?"

Ammit, still in a daze, nodded slowly. She wasn't so afraid of him but his background and whispers of Emberly and the powerful magicians she had under shadows, even the Dragon Emperor was cautious with her.

Given how she operated she knew the Obsidians family and it was one of the most feared in the whole Mortal Realm despite it's few mbers.

She could feel his power tol, his calm confidence.

Everything about him radiated control, and she couldn't deny that a part of her found it intoxicating. "Yes," she whispered, her voice barely above a breath. "I believe you."

Pyris chuckled softly, pulling her even closer. For a brief mont, the room was silent, tension hanging thick in the air.

Ammit, the Star Devourer, was no stranger to control and manipulation, but for the first ti in centuries, she found herself completely caught off guard.

"I think," Pyris whispered, his lips brushing her ear, "this is the beginning of a very profitable partnership."

Ammit's breath quickened, but she nodded again, unable to pull herself away from the magnetic pull of this dangerous boy who now held her fate in his hands.

The closeness was dangerous and the lust radiating from him was palpable.

With the contract signed and Ammit now an ally, Pyris had successfully secured both the arcane gauntlet and the opportunity to extend his influence into the Sunstone Empire. His plan was falling into place, piece by piece. Now, all that remained was delivering the replica to the Eclipse Syndicate and completing the mission.

The first phase of his mission from the system was complete, now it was ti to have this woman.

As they stepped away from each other, Ammit regained her composure, though the weight of Pyris's true identity still lingered in her mind.

She was no longer dealing with a re underworld rcenary-she was dealing with the leader of a business empires.

And sothing about that thrilled her.

"Well, Pyris Obsidian," she said, her voice back to its smooth, controlled cadence, "I look forward to seeing what we can build together."

"So do I," Pyris replied, his smile sharp. "But first, there's one last thing I need from you."

Ammit raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And what's that?"

Pyris's eyes glead with mischief. "The head of the general. My client will want proof."

Ammit chuckled darkly, her eyes sparkling with amusent. "Of course. I kept it well preserved."

With the arcane gauntlet in her possession and the partnership now sealed, Ammit walked over to a nearby. cabinet, pulling out a small chest.

She opened it, revealing the perfectly preserved head of General Kassius, his expression forever frozen... entranced.

Pyris nodded, pleased. "That'll do nicely." But he wasn't aning the head, he was aning her bent form.
